5-0 out of 5 stars A Fun Book
My 2 year old LOVES this book.He can practically recite it back to me!He laughes when we get to the Bee Buzz Honey part!Although most of the reviews are for babies much younger, my son continues to enjoy this book, in fact, even more now!

5-0 out of 5 stars A favorite for the very young
My daughter is 7 months old and for the last month this book has been among her favorite playthings. She laughs and waves her arms when I read it to her and her eyes light up just looking at the pictures.I turn the page to "Bee Buzz Honey" and her eyes find the bee and she smiles. Not great literature, no.But a book a baby could love.

4-0 out of 5 stars She loves those animal noises
The rhyming is a lot of fun, and the illustrations are unique.I think I have more fun Mooing and hooting than my daughter has listening. She always picks this one out when I ask her to go get a book to read. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Makes learning fun and interactive
Bought this last Christmas for my 14 month old son.He loved it then, and even more now.Though the flaps aren't as durable as what we want them to be, the book served its purpose well.It teaches more body parts....a sequel to where's baby's belly button. You must have both books in hand.He just love lifting the flaps and comparing his body parts to the pictures. This is one of Katz' books of fun that my son would carry around the house and read to himself.Illustrations are cute and colorful.Wonderful creation by Karen KAtz.Love this series.Would highly recommend to any child looking for interactive learning.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cute, but not durable
Our daughter enjoys the entire series of Karen Katz lift-the-flap books. She particularly enjoys the bright colored pictures, and the simple concepts seem to grab her attention, but she insists on lifting the flaps herself. The flaps are too flimsy in this particular book for a child in the 9-18 month age range.Several of the flaps are oversize in this particular book, which compounds the issue since she can get more leverage on the flaps and thus easilytore out several flaps within the first week of owning this book. Not something we experienced with other lift-the-flap books that we have bought.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great illustrations, but flimsy flaps
My son really loves this book with its colorful pictures, but I need to keep it out of his hands if I want the flaps to stay put.

Each page has a sentence, the first part is on the page and the last part is on the cardboard flap when you lift it.For example, "In my boots I've got" is written on the page. You lift up the cardboard boot flap and it says, "toes" and toes are revealed on the page. The flaps are made of very thin cardboard and bend or get folded easily. Also, they are not glued on very securely.A small portion is adhered to the page and they can easily be ripped off.If this happens, it's still a good book to look at, but the last part of the sentence has disappeared with the flap.

This book is for babies to look at, but not touch. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Hit!
We started our son with Boynton's Moo Baa LaLaLa when he was about 4 months old and have picked up more of her books along the way.Our son got this one when he was 10 months old and he loves it!It's a great way to teach opposites and, as always, the story invites different voices and has great illustations.Boynton's books are fun to for adults to read so we don't get sick of fulfilling the endless requests for "more."

5-0 out of 5 stars PERFECT FOR YOU LITTLE DINOSAUR FAN
My two year old just loves dinosaurs in any form and really enjoyed this book.Sandra Boyntons unique and hilarious cartoon style is very appealing to kids and the creative yet silly rhymes bring my son back to this book over and over again. The colorful dinosaurs in silly situations is a real kick for kids.Sandra is really a modern day Dr. Seuss with her innovated and enjoyable style.Highly recommended for your little ones.Even adults will enjoy them!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book!
This was the first Boynton book we received for our daughter (now 20 months). The words flow and the pictures are adorable. We read it all the time and because of that, we have the words memorized.Whenever my daughter is a little fussy while we are out, we recite the book and it catches her attention. We enjoyed this book so much that we bought many other Boynton books! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, Rythmic and Fun
We first checked this book out from the library and our baby loved it so much that I was online within a few days to buy it.The text is beautiful and my baby loved to listen to it and turn the pages by himself. All we have to do it set him on our lap and pick up this book and his face lights up with glee. He'll even stay still while we read it to him 3 or 4 times.Quite a feat for a 9 month old!Definitely worth the money!

4-0 out of 5 stars One of our favorites!
We bought this book when our daughter was a newborn and she's always loved it!Now that she's two, she still gets a kick out of reading it!However, I recommend that you not buy this item online because there's a mirror on the last page and some copies of the book have a blurry mirror! You're better off buying it in a store to make sure that the book isn't defective!

5-0 out of 5 stars Do You Know New?
This is my baby's favorite book.We started reading this to her when she was just a few weeks old and the text has a great rhythm, which she loves. At 10 months now, she picks that book out and loves to flip through it. It's a durable book, has been with us everywhere, and is a good size andlight weight that it's perfect for little hands.

The illustrations aregreat - not the blinding primary colors you often see in some baby books. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book for little babies
This was the first book I could read to my son.It is short, which is good for the limited attention span of the 3-4 month old, is so cute, and has interesting, bright simple pictures. He likes grabbing at the pages, too.

3-0 out of 5 stars It was good for about a month or so
I have a 10 month old. I bought this for her when she was 9 months, and she loved it at first, but now she's bored with it. The bright colors and contrast are nice, but there's just not enough for them to sink their teeth into for very long. I would say its good for little babies, 3 months to 9 months.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Idea and Superior Quality
My kids-age 3 and 1, LOVE this book. It features a different dinosaur on every page, with the refrain, "That's not my dinosaur, his..."horns are too rough",then on the next page it will be "flippers are too slippery,"etc., all with the appropriately textured body part. Then on the last page you finally find "my" dinosaur. What makes this better than the standard touch and feel books out there is 1) Durability. The binding is plastic and the pages are super strong cardboard--my other board books are disintegrating but not this one 2)Variety of textures--much better than my "Touch and Feel Baby Animals," or "Wild Animals." 3)Adjectives--while babies and young toddlers can chew on it and touch the textures, older toddlers love learning the adjectives that go along: rough, scratchy, shiny, slippery, soft, etc." 4)Theme: toddlers love having the wrong dinosaur, and finding the right one at the end. (Trust me)The reason I gave 4 not 5 stars is dinosaurs are not the most exciting thing--I'm on-line today buying a baby gift and I'm going to get "That's not my Puppy," or "Kitten" or "Lion." ... 5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite baby gift!
I just love ALL the books in this series. My children just loved them when they were little, and if you've ever had babies you know how valuable a good book is -- you get to sit down for a while! They were fun for me to read and really fun for them to explore. In fact, I've already packed them away in their hope chests for when they grow up and have children.
Now, whenver I know anyone who has had a baby, these books (as many as I can find) are my gift.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Reading for the Car
My son loves this book so much he has a copy of it in the car which he often looks at it when we're going to day care or coming home.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have book for your pretoddler
My son is just 10 months & he loves this book.He goes over to his books & always finds that one so he can touch the fluffy chick. He actually sits & lets me turn the pages in this book so he can touch all the animals. His favorites are the chick & the whooly lamb.I bought this book for my son a few months ago & he is fascinated by being able to touch the different animal textures. When we are reading other books that talk about chicks or lambs he will go over & look for this book! He apparently makes the connection! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars If only it were that easy!
I love reading this book to my feisty 16 month old boy, & he actually manages to sit through it! The pictures are vibrant, & the pets help! He looks forward to me 'acting out' the words, & it's a great time together. However, getting him to sleep afterwards is not as easy as the baby in the book!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss
We bought this book for our impending first grandchild and fell thoroughly in love with it.We can't wait until she is here and we can "read" it to her and kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss!

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this book!
I love this book, too!My daughter and I enjoy reading this together before bedtime. We laugh together and give kisses to each other. What I love most is that I enjoy the time we share together because of this book.We have several of Karen Katz's books and enjoy them all. The illustrations are wonderful and colorful. But "Counting Kisses" is our favorite! I hope you enjoy your time with your children as much as I do because of this book. ... Read more
