5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect Birthday Gift
I purchased the Happy Birthday Barbie for my friend's five year old daughter's birthday. She is Barbie obsessed, so I had a feeling she would enjoy celebrating her birthday with Barbie. Needless to say, this Barbie was very well received.

I combined Happy Birthday Barbie with a child sized dress up tiara and it made a great combo. The birthday girl wore her tiara and looked "just like Barbie".

If you've got a birthday girl in your life who loves Barbie, this will make the perfect gift for her!

Buyer Beware...I was looking forward to giving the doll described and pictured on this website as a gift, but when it arrived it was NOT at all as pictured or described on the website. I contacted customer service who assured me that they would fix the problem, but when they sent me a replacement, it was the same wrong doll. I, then, contacted customer service again and was told that they couldn't do anything to fix the problem. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

Barbie shines in her third animated movie, an adaptation of the classic ballet Swan Lake.A young girl named Odette (played by Barbie) follows a beautiful unicorn into the enchanted forest and picks up a magic crystal that proclaims her destiny as savior of the enchanted forest.Odette, hampered by an overwhelming sense of insecurity, proclaims herself unfit for the job and sets out to leave the forest when the evil wizard Rothbart (voiced by Kelsey Grammer) turns her into a swan.Bolstered by the powers of the magic crystal, Odette vows to defeat Rothbart.Meanwhile, love blossoms between Odette and the town's Prince Daniel and, eventually, Odette finds a courage within herself that, combined with her intelligence and the true love between her and the Prince, proves powerful enough to defeat Rothbart. The computer-generated animation in this 83-minute presentation is vivid and lifelike, the London Symphony gives a wonderful performance of Tchaikovsky's original music, and the choreography and dancing is nicely done thanks to Peter Martins and the New York City Ballet. 5-0 out of 5 stars A must see!
The music was great.. Tchaikovsky!!! Excellent composer.
    I loved the movie.
And I think the prince was hot.

1-0 out of 5 stars WOOF! This one is the worst! EVIL RED EYED Villian. YUCK!
This movie robs the classic ballet's music, and ruins what story there was with its evil bad guy. (You'd think it was a Disney flick.) The bad guy scared my kids, and they even had nightmares. He has a long, ugly, & pointy nose. He and his awful daughter transform into birds that are dark and intimidating. The red light glowing evil power from his eyes is plain SICK! He shoots his sorcery red power lightning to harm others and even turn Barbie/Odette into a Swan. Because she's a swan- the prince guy almost shoots her with a bow & arrow.
This movie is tense, tormenting, and was the greatest disappointment ever! Not for kids under 6.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good
This movie was much better then I expected it to be!I was quite surprised.I thought that the Barbie movies were meant to appeal to smaller children, but I guess that's because I'd never actually sat down and watched one.I found the characters to be very entertaining!Lila was a bit humorous with her smart aleck attitude, and the sorcerer's daughter was quite annoying!I mean my last comment in a good way, since you're supposed to hate the bad guys. The animation was beautiful, to say the least. The enchanted forest resembled a land that one could only imagine with its colorfulness, and magic. The story wasn't completely action-packed, but was enough to inspire me.My sudden liking of magic thanks to this movie was the reason I started reading Zenda, a fantastic book series about a pre-teen girl with unique powers. The original story Swan Lake was altered in this movie, but that just makes it more original.

Overall, I would say that if you like Barbie, or slightly simpler forms of magic, you will enjoy this movie.I would not recommend this movie to those looking for mature, or slightly complicated fantasy movies more on the PG-but-almost-PG13 level. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My Son Loves This Bible
My son is 4-years old and he can not get enough of these Bible stories night after night. He also has the Leap Pad version of one of the stories but he does not like that nearly as much. I feel that the stories are complete enough for his age but omit potentially disturbing details that simply are not needed until later. My husband and I also enjoy getting a little Bible refresher from a simpler point-of-view.

A good Bible for any young child and not bad for parents either.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Small Kids
In Brazil I bought a copy of the Portuguese language edition of this book to read to my daughter, so when we moved to the United States it was only natural to seek it out in English.Since she's now seven I don't read out of this Bible to her any more, but from age 3-6 it was great, and I'll read it to my little boy once he's old enough to sit still. We read it cover to cover many times, and I'm convinced that this has helped to to establish a deep familiarity with the fundamental Biblical narrative.Buy it and read it to your kids or grandkids.

4-0 out of 5 stars Read with Me Bbile
I picked this book up as an impulse buy about three years ago and began reading it to my then two year old daughter. At first I was a bit surprised by the violence of the stories.(The scarry snake in the garden of Eden, Abel killed his brother Cain, God flooded the world and everything living thing was wiped out, etc). After comparing it to a full version Bible, I realized how closely it follows the real text. And so we continued reading, with me doing some pretty heavy editing.

Well, my daughter just loved her Bible book.It wasn't long until we had read the whole thing cover to cover. Not only did we read it through another time or two, she then had her favorite stories that we read night after night.

Now that her brother has turned two, we've started from the beginning again. He's not quite as intranced as she was... I think we're dealing with a different level of attention span. But he's listening and it's quality time.

Everybody's right... the pictures in the book are great; the kids love them. It's not an "alls-happy-with-the-world" book of bible stories, but it is true to the full versions they'll be studying later.

I'm going back to buy a second book as ours is completely worn out and pages are falling out. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good book
This book is great. My daugher is finally learning what *sounds* the letter make! And she gets this book out on her own to play with it so it oviously is fun for her which is a huge + in my book!!

I would recomend this book to any child just learning to read, no matter what the age (my daughter is 5), it really helps to add additional practice to any other reading program (whether in school, homeschool, tutor, etc) and it is fun.

Also my almost 2 year old is starting to learn the sounds the letters make from watching her big sister use this!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for Pre Readers
This is a great book for people with the Leap pad and are looking for a book that is for younger kids. My daughter is 3 and she is able to follow alot of the concepts with this book. Each page is dedicated to one letter and there are lots of pictures to touch with the pen that make music and stories. I recommend this book for younger kids who are learning the alphebet. Editorial Review

The Care Bears were a line of multicolored teddy bears that racked upmore than $200 million in retail sales in 1984. The Care Bears Movie wasessentially a 75-minute commercial to introduce the new Care Bear Cousins, disguised as a smarmy story about sharing feelings. The film earned $23 milliontheatrically and ushered in a spate of cheap animated films created to sellmerchandise to children. The plot interweaves the stories of Kim and Jason, twolonely orphans who have given up caring, and of Nicholas, a friendlessmagician's assistant who's seduced by an evil spirit. The Care Bears resolveeveryone's problems. Years later, the Care Bears' popularity has waned and thefilm stands as a reminder of one of the less admirable uses of animation. Thestars, hearts, rainbows, and saccharine songs can't disguise the barefacedcommercialism behind the threadbare story. --Charles Solomon ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible for kids
I though I was getting a harmless piece of fluff when I sat down to watch this movie with my 4-year old, but I was infuriated to find that it contained many scary scenes that were completely inappropriate for a preschooler. Why they felt the need to include such an overtly frightening storyline is beyond me. Plus, they obviously made this movie on the cheap. The animation is terrible! And the whole movie is designed to sell products. This is not a good movie for preschoolers.

1-0 out of 5 stars Chewing Gum For A Toddler's Mind!
Low rating for educational content.. you have to search real hard for any meaning. However- if you'd like your children to put their little brains in auto-pilot (remaining transfixed and mezmorized for the duration of this mindless, saccarin sweet low budget tripe) then this movie does the trick. I couldn't bear it.. diabetes overdose far too painful for me, but my 2 year old and 4 month old loved it.
Somebody tell me how a studio gets away with making an extended musical snuggle dryer sheet advertisment and calling it a movie!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great childhood memory fit for the kids
I remember i used to watch this movie over and over when i was a young child.Years later this copy, having been well loved, was worn out an no longer able to play. But to my surprise i spotted this dvd in my local Kroger and immediatly bought it.It was such a joy to sit down and relive a piece of my childhood which a one point had been forgotten. What is even better is that this dvd is safe for all kids, not like the movies that have been coming out recently and you have to keep away from your kids because of voilence and language.Plus it is filled with vivid colors and music sure to keep your child entertained.

Entertain your childre like your parents entertained you, get them Care Bears....their fun, safe, and educational. You cant go wrong. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

In Hayao Miyazaki's magical Kiki's Delivery Service, a 13-year-old girl meets the world head on as she spends her first year soloing as an apprentice witch. Kiki (Kirsten Dunst) is still a little green and plenty headstrong, but also resourceful, imaginative, and determined. With her trusty wisp of a cat Jiji (a gently subdued Phil Hartman) by her side she's ready to take on the world, or at least the quaintly European seaside village she's chosen as her new home. Miyazaki's gentle rhythm and meandering narrative capture the easy pulse of real life (even if his subject is a girl flying high upon a broomstick) and charts the everyday struggles and growing pains of his plucky heroine with sensitivity and understanding. Beautifully detailed animation and the rich designs of the picture-postcard seaside town of red-tiled roofs and cobblestone streets only add to the sense of wonder. This charming animated fantasy is a wholesome, life-affirming picture that doesn't speak down to kids or up to adults. --Sean Axmaker ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful movie- In ANY Language!
This movie has it all; Beautiful, non - adult, non ecchi Anime, and an absolutely charming storyline. Not something seen too often in either American and Japanese animated films nowadays.

    Uncle Walt would be proud.

Kikki is a young witch, entering her so called "Witch Prime." When witches reach the age of 13, they leave home, and go out into the world for a year of "Training". The storyline takes us into Kikki's rite of passage, as it were, and immedately draws us into it, every inch of the way. We see her joys, pains, and her sadness, as she journeys to the big city to find her way.

The movie is simplistic, yet contains some of the most beautiful artwork and storytelling I have ever seen in an animated film. It never strays too far from it's main character, and in this process we actually grow care for her.

The movie is a little long, at 105 minutes, but it is worth every one of those minutes.

If you want a simple, joyus sample of anime, without the violence or hentai that is so prevelant in the medium, then this film is for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Magical, Beauitful Movie!
Kiki's Delivery Service was truly a joy to watch with my family. We all loved the beauitful animation all of Studio Ghibli's works have... and the fun, laughter, and excitment of them all! The movie itself will take you through a magical adventure, and I rather not go on and say what the movie is about. If you'd like... read the other reviews. I don't like to spoil things for people, so please... if you like magic, and your looking for a fun movie for any age of person, try Kiki's Delivery Service!

5-0 out of 5 stars Magnificent ! But it gave me a shocking surprise...
Definitely one of the finest "growing up" stories I have ever experienced. I was looking forward to get this DVD and there was one special reason for this. The DVD's tracks have the Spanish dub included. When I purchased the VHS version, the Spanish track was also one of the best Spanish dubs I had ever heard. Alas, when I played the disc in my dvd player I discovered something terrible... the Spanish track was truly Spanish... I thought I was going to find the Mexican Spanish dub. Although the Spaniard dub was well done the accent just didn't ring the tones in my ears. Do not get me wrong there is nothing wrong with Spain's dub but since there are millions of Mexicans living in the U.S. and you have 100 million south the border, well you expect the Mexican dub in an American DVD realease with a a Spanish version dub. You certainly don't expect the Castillian dub for 30 million speakers across the Atlantic... ... Read more

    Editorial Review

Not an ideal choice for younger kids, this hip and violent animated feature from Disney was nevertheless a huge smash in theaters and on video, and it continues to enjoy life in an acclaimed Broadway production. The story finds a lion cub, son of a king, sent into exile after his father is sabotaged by a rivalrous uncle. The little hero finds his way into the "circle of life" with some new friends and eventually comes back to reclaim his proper place. Characters are very strong, vocal performances by the likes of Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Whoopi Goldberg are terrific, the jokes are aimed as much (if not more) at adults than kids, the animation is sometimes breathtaking, and the music is more palatable than in many Disney features. But be cautious: this is too intense for the Rugrat crowd. --Tom Keogh

How good-looking is the DVD restoration of Disney's popular animated film? Take a look at the serviceable but dull film clips incorporated in the plethora of extras and compare them to the vivid gorgeousness of the film presentation. This "special edition" also adds a 90-second song ("Morning Report") that originated in the lavish stage musical. To Disney's credit, the original theatrical version is also included, both restored and featuring two 5.1 soundtracks: Dolby Digital and a new Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix, which does sound brighter. As with the Disney Platinum line, everything is thrown into the discs, except an outsider's voice (the rah-rahs of Disney grow tiresome at times). The excellent commentary from the directors and producer, originally on the laser disc, is hidden under the audio set-up menu.

The second disc is organized by 20-minute-ish "journeys" tackling the elements of story, music, et cetera, including good background on the awkward Shakespearean origins at Disney where it was referred as "Bamlet." The most interesting journey follows the landmark stage production, and the kids should be transfixed by shots of the real African wildlife in the animal journey. Three deleted segments are real curios, including an opening lyric for "Hakuna Matata." Most set-top DVD games are usually pretty thin (DVD-ROM is where it's at), but the Safari game is an exception--the kids should love the roaring animals (in 5.1 Surround, no less). One serious demerit goes to the needless and complicated second navigation system that is listed by continent, but just shows the same features reordered. --Doug Thomas ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Perfect in every sense of the word...but a useless 2nd disc.
Let's get something straight right now. The Lion King is a perfect movie. Be it live action or animated, there are few others I can list that reach its level of quality. Seeing it in theaters back in the mid-90s was a great experience. Even if I wasn't old enough to understand some of the darker issues in it back then, I enjoyed the movie, like the millions of other kids. Now, at almost 20, watching the movie really gets to me. This is one of Disney's more grown up movies. I'm not saying that to make it sound like it's too violent or there's any hinting at mature themes, but all the talk about death in the beginning, about the Circle of Life, that's some pretty powerful stuff to be talking about in a family movie. With this re-release of the movie, hopefully more parents or future parents will keep it around and show their kids this piece of movie history.

The movie opens up with possibly the most grand of Disney openings- a sunrise. An African song plays, and the animals look towards something that we can't see. Every type of animal in the area starts heading towards something. Birds, elephants, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, you name it. Soon, we see a great rock formation- Pride Rock. A lion stands atop, overlooking everything in his kingdom. Then, a mandrill makes his way through the crowd of animals that waits. He hugs the lion, and makes his way to the lioness behind him. They've had a baby. The mandrill takes the cub, and holds him high up for all the animals to see. They cheer in unison- they have a new prince. Some opening eh? After this, we're introduced to another lion- Scar. He's the king's brother, and obviously jealous of the whole deal. He didn't even show up to the ceremony. Mufasa, the king, makes a note of this, telling Scar that he should've shown up for his own nephew's birth. Scar walks away, as it's no big deal to him. Time passes, and Simba grows up a little. He's still a cub, but capable of doing things on his own now. Mufasa tells him about the Circle of Life. How all living things are connected. Lions eat the antelope, but when they die, their bodies become the grass, upon which the antelope eat. Simba is also shown his kingdom, which is everything that the light touches. Unfortunately, the light doesn't touch one spot, which sparks his interest...of which Scar helps him get even more curious about. It turns out to be an elephant graveyard. Simba heads toward it with his friend, Nala, and they almost get killed by heyenas. Mufasa saves them, is disappointed that his son disobeyed, but understands. Scar, who's working with the heyenas, is also disappointed, and takes matters into his own hands- since they failed in killing Simba, he's going to kill Mufasa. In doing so (in a very tragic scene), Simba goes into exile, and Scar takes over. Simba finds two new friends in Timon and Pumbaa, who teach him to take life easy. But with time, the true king realizes who he is through his friends, and there will be justice.

As you can see, this is a pretty big movie. It's not complicated by any means, but just the overall picture is a lot to take in. A dad telling his son about life and death, only to die in saving his son who hasn't reached adulthood yet, was always touching. The music playing during that scene adds even more dramatic touch to it. Scar, as I've mentioned, is an absolutetreat. He's probably my favorite Disney villain, surpassing even Jafar and Gaston. Sure, some of his lines and movements make you question his orientation, but that doesn't matter. His voice, design and motives are too good. That's how it is with a lot of the other characters too. Disney did a great job with the designs. Zazu, a hornbill bird, is voiced by Rowan Atkinson of Mr. Bean fame. And you know what? Zazu looks freakin' identical to Rowan. I didn't notice it back then, but now, it's hilariously uncanny. Equally great is the soundtrack. When the movie came out, I had the soundtrack. About two years later, it was lost...but I can remember every single track perfectly. It leaves that much of an impact on you. How many animated movies can you say that about, and really mean every track- not just the songs?

The picture and audio quality on this disc are flawless. There's no grain, fuzz, or anything to hinder the viewing experience. If you have a nice sound system, by all means- crank this baby up and prepare to be blown away.

Now why does the rating for this movie that I keep stressing being perfect only come out at four stars? That's easy- the second disc is a joke. I'll get to that in a minute. The first disc includes a "never before heard song", like Disney keeps throwing in its Platinum Edition sets. Though "never before heard song" usually equals "direct to video animation quality and CG overkill" *cough Beauty & the Beast cough*, the song here is very short. It's Zazu giving his morning report to Mufasa during Simba's pouncing scene. While it's funnier to hear Zazu talk about the Pridelands gossip with more character, hearing it in song is still good. There are 3 deleted scenes under the "Elephant Graveyard" section of the first disc, thoug they're all in storyboard and animatic form. One's of Timon and Pumbaa singing Can You Feel The Love Tonight?, which was dropped because Elton John was horrified at how they sang it. It's understandable, but hearing them sing it is just hilarious. Another scene is of Timon's verse in Hakuna Matata. During the commentary, they say it didn't fit in that much, and Pumbaa's was funnier, and they're right. It's mostly about how he was lazy. As for that commentary track, it's with the directors and producer. They talk a lot, and point out some cool info aboud the production. Things like dialogue they wanted to add but didn't feel fit in, a slightly extended ending, and how huge some of the background paintings were. It's mostly geeky stuff, but I feel it's worth at least one listen. These guys had a lot of work to do. Most of the other features on the first disc are minor things, but still better than the second disc, which is aimed at 5 year olds. No joke- almost everything is about animals or what Africa's like. And all of these are in very short segments, usually 2-4 minutes. And, there's a lot of them. Why a "play all" feature wasn't included is beyond me. It made watching the features a chore, and felt rushed. There's also a virtual safari, which felt kinda creepy since it's at night, and a lot of animals attack Timon and Pumbaa's jeep. There are no real special features here: no documentary, no behind the scenes look, no glance at the voice actors during work (except like 4 seconds of Johnathan Taylor Thomas), just tons of the people that worked on the movie talking about going to Africa for inspiration. And that's all it is- talk. I was disappointed, and won't be watching the second disc again.

Overall, The Lion King remains one of Disney's crown jewels. Sure, it may have had a lot of help from the other animated classic: Jungle Emperor Leo, but they really did improve it. It's just sad to know that after this, they didn't put in as much effort into their other animated features. Not to bash the likes of Hunchback or Mulan, but their animation style really changed after this, and it's a shame. As far as I can see, there's not going to be another Lion King from them. Lilo and Stitch came close (in sales and tone), but it's hard to dethrone something this classic.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Good Movie
I saw this movie as a kid because it came out in theaters when I was a kid and really liked the movie. When I heard that the movie was coming out on DVD I knew that I had to get it. When I heard that there was an extra scene ("Morning Report") added to the movie, I knew I had an even better reason to get the movie because I wanted to see if it made the movie any better than it already had been. When I saw the extra scene in the movie, I really liked it, and I'm glad that I have the DVD.

    5-0 out of 5 stars It's like Hamlet,only better!
This movie is a sequel to Hamlet, and the DVD is cool,I even liked it on video. You know the story, when a young lion cub named Simba is forced to take his place in the Circle of Life and sometimes he disobeyed his father,King Mufasa and got into T-R-O-U-B-L-E,but most of the time he played with his BFF (Best Friend Forever) Nala. Day after day, they wrestled and tumbled until one day Simba's evil Uncle Scar caused a stampede killing Mufasa. Scar lied to Simba telling him that he killed his father and told him to leave the Pride Lands and never return. But when he meets a warthog named Pumbaa and his meerkat buddy Timon,he learns about their "Hakuna Matata" way of life, living on a diet of grubs, but when the years pass,Nala returns and tells Simba that when Scar became king, there was no food nor water, but Simba couldn't return, but when a wise old baboon named Rafiki tells Simba that his father lives in him and he learns to face his past and challenges Scar for the throne and when he destroys Scar once and for all,Simba becomes the Lion King and Nala becomes his queen. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars When did these things get so small?
I had one of these styling heads as a kid and seem to remember that mine was bigger than this one.Still, this toy is pretty good and even my friends like to play with her.The clips and pins may be hard to work fir very little fingers (my toddler needs help), but they are perfectly fine for bigger kids.A few extra accessories would have been nice. For example, Teresa has pierced ears, but no earrings.I still look forward to letting my three year old tangle her hair instead of mine.

4-0 out of 5 stars great toy
I was worried that I had spent too much until my 3 year old played with it over and over.Yes, I agree you have to be careful taking the pieces out the first time, but after that it is sturdy.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a life saver this toy was!!
I bought this for my just turned three year old girl. The two of us took a 10 hour car drive with this as a brand new car toy.She spent 8 of 10 hours playing with it on the drive down. She played with it some everyday during a confernece I was attending with her in tow.She spent 6 of 10 hours playing with it on the way home a week later. She would have played with it longer had the daylight lasted longer. It saved our sanity!!

My only complaint is the magnetic pieces were easy to tear when punching them out of their original magnetic sheet.Take care and this shouldn't be a problem. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

No batteries or assembly required! In this age of information and technology, just holding a Care Bear brings everything back down to Earth. They were all the rage in the 80s, coming down from their cloud-lined, rainbow world to warm the cockles of our hearts. This bright yellow "Funshine Bear" is adorned with a cheery smiling sun endearingly stitched on his ample belly, and "bears" a gift for his new friend: an animated story on VHS. Kids today will love him for the same reason you did (remember?): teddy bear good looks, and a tender willingness to be loved. There are ten, colorful Care Bears in all. --Diane Beall ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A brief moment of fun
My son enjoyed "The Care Bears Movie," so I purchased Funshine Bear and the accompanying video.I overestimated his interest in actually having the bear. He's got a "lovey" toy already, so this toy is just another on the pile of stuffed animals that he's not interested in playing with.I would say that you should purchase the bear only if your child enjoys playing with stuffed animals (I hate to be stereotypical, but maybe it's a girl thing). The movie is pretty good.He seems to like the "race" idea, since he enjoys "racing" around the house, anyway. There are some good "fair play" ideals introduced in the movie and some lessons on cheating. He was a little hesitant to watch it at first-- apparently the little bad guy is a little scary, so be aware of this and screen it with your child at first.I made the mistake of popping the tape in the VCR and then doing some housecleaning, only to be called back and asked to sit down and hold hands.Overall, it's one of those standard stuffed animals with a decent movie.

4-0 out of 5 stars Funshine!!!
funshine is a great care bear to add to your collection or to start one,its cute hugable and lovable

4-0 out of 5 stars Funshine Bear and Video: The Great Race
THE BEAR: Funshine Bear is very well made and extremely durable. I seriously doubt any kid could (or would) try to pull out his eyes or nose. His mouth doesn't rip nor the sunshine on his tummy, or the hearts on his feet or the single red plastic one on his back side. So five stars there. Then there's the obvious, he's adorably cute and funny sunny. I like the way he talks with a smile in his voice. He's very soft, cute and huggable. Aww. ^_^

THE VIDEO: "The Great Race." It is a good video but note that Funshine Bear is NOT the main character in it.That is my main complaint.I feel that if a bear comes with a video, then the video should have the bear as the leading role or at least the top three.Funshine Bear is cute in this and has a role, he is part of the race; however, the Elephant, Rabbit and a bad guy, have the leading parts.I don't know if this is the same for the other videos but Funshine Bear is the only character on the cover of the box so naturally I assumed he'd be the main character.I don't know if it is the same for the other bears and videos.

MY DAUGHTER'S FEELINGS: My five year-old daughter loves Funshine Bear. She received it as a birthday gift and enjoys the video too.During many videos we watch together, she will get up and leave the room, but not this one so I know she loves it. Plus, the video has a good moral at the end that reminds me of an aesop's fable.

MORE ABOUT FUNSHINE BEAR: taken from the back of the box:

"Funshine Bear is the Care Bear's Class Clown. This playful bear really knows how to be funny and to have fun.Funshine Bear works hard to make sure that people have a good time.'Enjoy each day' is the Funshine's motto and it's shown on the bear's symbol--a smiling sun!" ... Read more

    Editorial Review

"Once upon a time, King Kandy, the Imperial Head Bonbon and Grand Jujube of Candy Land disappeared." Thus begins the magical journey of Milton Bradley's classic Candy Land board game. Captivated by the story of a kidnapped king and eager to help find him, little ones move their gingerbread pawns along a rainbow path and through a land of candy characters, all subjects of King Kandy's realm.

Playing cards thoughtfully designed for non-readers are coded with colorful squares matching the jeweled stepping-stone path or an occasional token matching one of the characters' symbols: draw a blue card, move to the nearest blue stepping-stone; draw a snowflake and earn a visit to Queen Frostine's iceberg. There are occasional pitfalls, too: land on the wrong square and you might be stuck in Molasses Swamp until a red card is drawn. With all these enticing, sugarcoated images (and King Kandy plainly visible at path's end), children can't help but be delighted by Candy Land. It's delicious! i had to write a review after reading the previous person's one.We have had this phone since last christmas (almost a year) and have found it durable. We have had to replace the batteries once as my daughter has used it a lot.It is very cute and says a lot of different sayings, and the antenna lights up.It will also ring on its own after it has been put down a while. My daughter loves it when her phone rings.

2-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing

3-0 out of 5 stars Nemo stickers, not so reusable
If your kids like stickers, then this is a nice set of stickers from the movie. But the reusable part is slightly misleading. After moving them more than twice, they don't stick very well, and they are only reusable if you stick them on the book's specially coated pages.I've found many kids expect stickers to stay stuck and sometimes get frustrated with this style of book. What kids love about them is the large, high-quality sticker pictures. The other Nemo stickers for sale (without books) aren't as nice, so buy more for the stickers. ...
