What an amazing, thorough, comphrensive guide to everything Star Wars.NOTHING is left out.You get not only in depth profiles of every major character, but every OTHER character in the universe.It's so detailed that they break down each PART of each weapon, ship, etc.For someone like myself who isn't the biggest Star Wars geek (but wanting to learn more), this is a godsend.There are many, many, hardcore fans out there that can reference almost anything and anyone to do with Star Wars.Well, now you can too, and you don't have to see the films 3245 times to do it.

Excellent book/CD set
We are so happy to have received Philadelphia Chickens as a shower gift.While our 10-month old doesn't understand the lyrics, he clearly enjoys the music, bouncing and smiling whenever he hears, "Cows, we're remarkable cows....."The songs are very enjoyable for adults as well.I've given this as a gift to 3 friends and all have loved it.

my daughters and I really enjoy this book!
We`ve had this book for over 3 years now, and my 5 year old daughter, loves to look at it over and over again, and beleive me, everytime we read it, a different story develops or we discover something we had`t seen before. Now I have started reading it with my 2 year old, and she too is facinated by it, it has helped her with her vocabulary.

powerful concept in a simple presentation
As a special education teacher I took a different message from the one intended by the author: when we honor what children CAN do, and give them the time/opportunity to demonstrate how far they can take that...they may surprise us, and even surprise themselves.I think it is particularly telling that the author/illustrator dedicated this book to his 7th grade /math/ teacher...clearly a teacher who could challenge/inspire/motivate his students to excell, even if that excelling was to be demonstrated in an area other than his own.

Great Book
This book is great so far. It is full of mystery and adventure. Twelve year old Claudia has run away with her brother Jamie to the Metropilan Muesum of Art. Claudia decided to bring along her brother Jamie with her because he has a lot of money. While they are there at the muesum, Claudia and Jamie come across a great mystery in the muesum that is all over the newspaper. If you would like to find out what this great mystery read this book! Teachers it is also a great book to read with your class. Also edutactional!

Not mixed-up about how good this book is
This Newbery award winner is about Claudia and Jamie, two kids who run away from home. They leave the suburbs and head to New York where they stay in none other than the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They sleep in an old bed in the French section. They hide in the bathrooms. They even take baths in a fountain (and get paid for it, sort of)!But when a new exhibit comes in, the fun really starts. The Angel is beautiful, exquisite, and mysterious. The question: is the sculpture really done by Michelangelo? Claudia and Jamie will do anything to find out. I think I loved the book mostly because I really liked the idea of living in a museum. This book is good for all ages, but I expected it to be longer.

A very short book
Due to the shortness of this book, my daughter prevailed upon me to read it more often. It's very cute though.

Great for little ones!!!
My 8 months old son loves this book and mostly at nightime. He'd rather this one than the other ones. Everytime when I start the song, he gets fascinating. The illustrations are great and catch my son's attention .......He Loves it!!!!!

Love the lipstick!
My four year old loves the Olivia books, and we couldn't wait to get this one.We laughed the whole way through, especially when she put on the lipstick.Hooray for Olivia!

Olivia Mails It In (or Falconer Mails It In) Your choice.
My son enjoys the Olivia series immensely. "Missing Toy" and "Saves The Circus" are on their second copies at my house due to the wear and tear of the originals. We looked forward to "Forms A Band" and were delighted to finally get it at our local bookstore. Disappointed at the results puts it mildly. It is a disjointed mess, with a terrible ending (and if the end is political message, that is just awful and inappropriate)Olivia has lost her edge which is why we love her and the imagination scenes showed none, which is unusual for this series. Ours lasted two reads before it was pushed aside for one of the vibrant other Olivia books. I would buy this book only to complete a collection and nothing more. It is terrible. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

If It's Cronin, It HAS To Be Five Stars!
In our library, we can't keep her books on the shelves, and the once-again winning combination of her words with Betsy Lewin's pictures just cannot be beat.Our small patrons love her books on one level, while their parents are getting a kick out of them on a totally different one.I always appreciate authors who understand that they have two audiences, after all, and Ms. Cronin feeds both appetites.The clever, gentle humor of this book will be welcomed by discerning parents, and by the end, I am sure of two things: Farmer Brown will never catch on, and I will never hear "Born To Be Wild" again without thinking of the beloved Duck.

Better than its predecessors!
I didn't think life got any better than Click Clack Moo, but Dooby Dooby Moo tops it. I love it! Dooby Dooby Moo is one of those rare books that holds enjoyment for kids and adults alike. Kids like the story of the talent show and each animal's attempts to win, while parents get to laugh their heads off at the pig's interpretive dance. It's a great read-aloud book because the adult can sing along (very easy tunes we all know) and kids love that part. very informartive!
This book contains allot of basic information on draping. The instructions are thorough and are acompanied by visuals, for extra comprehension. It also has a section dedicated to draping knits, a real plus! My understanding of the draping method, and therefore my skill, has improved on account of this book.

I studied at FIT in NY, and this was required reading for my first draping course.It seems that a careful read of this book alone could have taught me what I needed to know.It takes practice, but boy, if you want perfect results, follow this book to the letter and it will get you there!

Creative look at Autumn
This is a WONDERFUL book! We read it to our class of 3-year-old preschoolers, and they were absolutely captivated. They were so quiet and engaged that they forgot to ask when we were leaving to go on our field trip.

This is one of those books that is absolutely made for the parent or teacher to read with the child, talk and listen.Each photograph is an absolute work of art.Not only do you get to expose the child to some wonderful art work, but also this book is an ideal set up for a nature study. It actually gives the adult, who hopefully has done their own homework, to interact with the child and add thier (adult and child) own thoughts.The story is not much, but this is one of those works where the story, if more detailed, would just get in the way.I liked the concept of this work.This is a good one to work with the child in the fall.After reading and discussing the book, a walk in the woods, yard, park or what ever, can bring out quite a lot of insight from the child...they can relate.Recommend this one highly.

This CD is Great!!!
I thought this CD was great - children will learn. The overall feel reminded me of the book "Now I Know the Ten Commandments". I recommend it to anyone.
Wee Sing Bible Songs CD format
I love all the songs on this CD! Catchy, rhymthic, fun to sing and listen to. Most are familiar.I enjoy them as much as the children. I had the audiocassette and book years ago and am so glad to be able to get it on CD. Perfect to use with children's groups.

this book is the best book i ever read! Once i picked it up i couldn't put it down. Everyone has to buy it or check it out in your school library. I read the book in a matter of about 3 days because i couldn't put it down. This by far is one of the best books i've read in my whole entire life!

When a priceless piece of artwork by Vermeer, a relatively unknown artist from the 1700s, called The Lady Writing is stolen on its way to Chicago, Petra Andalee and Calder Pillay take into their own hands to find it. These to eleven year olds find a old book by Charles Fort, which goes into detail goes into about coincidences between disappearing people and frogs. This book used to belong to their grumpy, old neighborMrs. Sharpe. Whose husband just happened to die an untimely death right after he made a breaking discoveryon Vermeer. All these thongs are oddly connected. The thief of The Lady Writing has a theory that not all of the work of art credited to Vermeer is his, and tells the public via the newspaper that he will destroy The Lady Writing if this mistake is not corrected. This turns out to be a hoax, the thief was working for someone who wanted to own The Lady Writing.It was his plan to let the public think that The Lady was destroyed. Petra and Calder find this out, and find out that the painting is hidden near they live, in fact it is in University by their houses.They rescueit, but not before the thief sees them and pursues them.Calder trips and hurts himself, and Petra runs off with the painting, and alerts the police.Calder manages to get away, and the thief is found dead on a train.Chasing Vermeer by an exciting art mystery that is sure to be an enjoyable read for any youth. bring your imagination
If you have a small child who is not crazy about books, try this one.I have yet to read it to a kindergarten class who was not enthralled with it. Harold is a delight for young and old.He is lovable and at the same time all-powerful, wielding his purple crayon as he chooses.This is a classic no family should be without.

This is a book of such simplicity, both in its words and its illustrations, that one may dismiss it at first glance. Don't! Harold and the Purple Crayon is a magical book. Its popularity may have waned since its original publication over 50 years ago, but it has such enduring charm. Harold has such a wonderful imagination, and in his hands the purple crayon does incredible things. If you've never read this book, please join Harold on his journey. Excellent Book!
My kids and I love "Scribbles". We also purchased "Doodles" at the same time. The drawings are fun and my kids are always entertained and challenged...great for car trips or anywhere you and your kids are stuck sitting around waiting.

My son is 4 and really loves this book.I initially bought it for use in the car on long trips but it was too heavy for him to hold and color in his lap.He loves using it at home on the table.

Fun for adults, too!
We received this CD for a gift a year ago and my kids(4 1/2 and 13mo) and I still BOTH enjoy hearing it!Fun, catchy tunes, with a bit of humor for adults, and silliness for kids.

Wholesome family entertainment we can ALL sing along to!
Despite some unevenness , this album and its accompanying book are a drive-time hit in our household - amazing considering my kids are 10 and 11 - oh, and a baby, who probably doesn't get all the subtleties, but enjoys the music nonetheless.
