Ooops! She did it again
J.K Rowling has pulled off another stellar Harry Potter. Because the amount of time it takes to complete a 7-part series, I thought she'd run out of steam, but clearly she has not. After seeing what happened with King towards the end of the Dark Towers series, I was afraid another renowned writer might do the same. I was pleasantly disappointed. There is nothing else to say. Great book. She keeps the series rolling perfectly. Some of the goings on (people who've read the story should know what I'm talking about) I believe are front for other plans, and I was not heart broken at the end.
Harry's Daring Quest
Harry Potter and Professor Dumbledore try to research Lord Voldemort's childhood. They search through the pensieve discovering the truth about Lord Voldemort. They realize the rutheless, evil wizard splits his soul into seven pieces by murdering seven innocent people. Then he magicallyhid them into valuable objects, which Harry and Dumbledore set after for. I loved the book because the story line was thrilling and intriguing. The characters were daring, intelligent, humorous, and wise. My favorite character is Harry Potter who is a sixteen year old wizard who's parents died because Voldemort murdered them both. Harry is my favorite character because he is brave and humorous. Some related books to this one are all five of the other Harry Potter books. I think this book ranks number one in comparison to them all.

This book series stinks! And that's flattering.
One star is giving this terrible and uninteresting series a huge compliment. Especially this book, where the plot consists of little but pointless stories of the character's love lives until the end, when there is a quick bit that is actually about Good vs evil. Just Wait For Two More Years!!!
The books are amazing.J.K. Rowling managed to create a magical world that is both appealing to children and adults.The books follow the heroic life of young Harry Potter from age 11.As Harry gets older, the books mature with him.While the first book is very colorful and innocent, books five and six are much darker and emotional, of which love becomes a major theme in the series.
A good value
Our family hadn't yet read all the books, and we were looking for a set. This is a good value. However, with book 7 coming out soon, we are regretting not waiting to get the inevitable 7-book set.

Extraordinary Value
I'm not going to address the quality of the Harry Potter series. After all, if you weren't interested in the plots and storylines, you wouldn't be considering this item. What I will address is the fact that this collection is, hands down, the best value on the first six books of the series you will find, period! (Price at time of writing was $100) I'm a member of several book associations, and even they cannot match it. The books themselves are hardback, with excellent quality paper and high production value. The jackets all show the colorful illustrations of Mary Grandpré, and have raised lettering. The bindings themselves are library quality, and durable, with metallic lettering on the spine. It was a must have for my hardback Fantasy library and collection and, though most of my books for it have been obtained via a SFBC membership, Amazon definitely provided the best value on this one! ... By far, the worst in the series.
This installment is easily the weakest in the series. The writing is all over the place, and there is no central plot to drive the story. That being said, the book is still good. I've just come to expect more from this series.

It was great!
Harry Potter and The Order of the Pheonex was one of the best books i have ever read even though I am a huge Harry Potter fan. The book starts out by describing how the muggle prime minister and the minister of magic have to be connected. Harry is at home in the next chapter and Dumbledore comes to see him at the Durlseys and tells Harry how they would be having lessons the whole year, teaching Harry more about Voldemort's past and Harry learning how to kill Voldemort. The rest of the book plays up on the adventure that Dumbledore and Harry take together trying to kill part of Voldemorts soul, a Horcrux. When Harry and Dumbledore come home Dumbledore learns of how Draco Malfoy has been following Voldemort all year and Snape is also on the dark lord's side, seeing how he kills Dumbledore.

I loved this book because it kept you guessing and it was exciting.It was even better than all the others in my opinion.Harry was furious because he coudn't find out what Lord Voldemort was doing.This book is about stopping Voldemort and his horrible plans.The head of the ministry of magic has hired Professor Umbridge as the new defense against the Dark Arts teacher and the High Inquisitor of the school.Harry tries to help out other people by teaching defensive spells.I definitely recommend this book to people of all ages! ... All the Harry Potter books are magical, and these just complete the enchantment. They are a must have for any fan of the Harry Potter series. Young or old, anyone will enjoy them.

Great Fun
Enjoyable quick reads that supplement Harry Potter's world and give a nice fix while waiting for the next novel to come out. The proceeds from the sale of these books also goes to charity. I've always wanted to know more about the history, geography and culture of the magical, non-muggle world than the Harry Potter novels tell us and books like these fill us in very nicely!

Great books for Harry Potter fans!
I enjoyed reading these 2 little books! They were very interesting! In 'Quiditch Through the Ages' it had a wonderful history of the magical sport! It made you feel like it had really happened, and that's what great books are supposed to do! The 'Magical Beasts and Where to Find Them' was inspiring, it put your imagination to work!

Advice of sibling true - they get better and better
My little brother passed away at just 17 years old on July 25th, and I remember when I first started reading year 4, he said that each book only get's better and I have a long way to go. Yes, it took me nearly three months to read this novel, but not because I'm that slow of a reader. More likely, the story and characters were so interesting that I preferred dragging out each chapter to save myself from moving forward to year 5.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It really IS a book you could read again and again. If I was stranded on an island for weeks and could only bring ONE book, I would DEFINETLY bring this book, without a doubt. It was thrilling, sad, funny, and beautifully written all at the same time. I admit, I cried. I did. Some people would think why cry but it was so touching, so beautiful, I loved it. It really is the BEST book I've ever read. I can't say anything bad about it.

I like the book
I choose to read Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban this summer,as a summer reading book because I thought the movie was good. So , I decided to read the book and see what is different and the same. J.k. Rowling has a great nack for writing children's because i love the books she writes.What I don't like is that the book ends and doesn't say where Harry stays. Does he stay with his godparent or dr does he go back to his uncle & aunts house.Maybe he stays with his godparent or go's to his uncles or he stays in hogwarts. I would like to read the fourth book to find out.

It was a great book
This summer i read the book Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban. I thought the book was greta and so was the movie. In the book there is some parts that are the same in the movie and somethings that are in the book not in the movie.That is what i did not like about the book the parts should of been explain so you could understand it more. Overall i like reading Harry Potter books because they are very interesting and exciting to me.

This is a plot for everyone because it is very entertaining. It is also very easy to understand. Once you start reading, you can hardly put the book down. There are also links to other episodes of the book that makes the reader want to read more. There are usages of magic, fantasy creatures, and competitive sports in the plot to create colorful variety to the audience. J.K. Rowling uses the purity of adolescence and interprets it in the form of courage, cooperation, and youthful innocence that showed the power to overcome many things.

The Review from a Perfect Score
The book starts off at Harry's aunt and uncle's house. Harry goes back to Hogwarts for his second year at school. There is a new character and his name is "Dobby." He is a slave. He does not want Harry Potter to go to Hogwarts. Dobby made it so that Harry could not get on the train so Harry took a flying car. And Dobby made the Blunger in Quitage chase him and break his arm.

Great book, but did anyone notice that they left there trunks in the trunk of the car yet had them when they got to school...?

Harry Rocks
These are truly a wonderful grouping of books that everyone should read if not own. I loved the movies and couldn't keep waiting to find out what happens, so bought the books. Read them all 1-6 in about 6 days...just couldn't put them down. Lighthearted reading that is enjoyable.

Magical
She envisioned a seven-part series, each part of which was knocking on 800 pages. That was a serious bit of world building right there. Then, she wrote the first book, a whopping multi-page monster I haven't read yet. So let's just admire her for making an effort of that magnitude.

Poor translation of a great book
It's a shame that such a wonderful book was translated so poorly.The translator, Alicia Dellepiane, has a tendency to translate literally.For example, she translated to "have a fit" (referring to the baby, Dudley, on the second page of the book), as "ten�a un berrinche." In Mexico it's "hac�a un berrinche" and in much of Latin America it's "daba un berrinche."Errors such as this one abound.It's awkward for readers who know Spanish well and misleading for those who might pick up this book to study Spanish.

Es dificil decir porque me gusta tanto este libro, y no s�lo �ste, pero los otros cinco. El escenario esta servido para el curso final
Buen libro.Definitivamente mejor que la quinta entrega.Aqui se desvela el misterio de Snape.Lo unico reprochable es que la explicacion de por que Dumbledore creia en Severus Snape, es demasiado escueta y de verdad no le encuentras ninguna clase de logica.Se habla poco o casi nada de los Dursley, supongo que sera la misma tonica de la ultima parte.Si te lo preguntas, pues, no hablan nada de Sirius Black (el quinto libro deja una pequeña duda en relacion a como se puede comunicar Harry con el en el arco)

Mapping the world of harry potter
I found the book to be fairly intersting. It is definitely intented for someone who has read most of the Harry Potter books and understands the plot and characters.

Enjoyable and satisfying on the whole
This is probably the most enjoyable of the several different books of essays on the Harry Potter books that I have read. Perhaps it's because the contributors are, themselves, fantasy and sci-fi authors, which may give them a unique insight. Another possibility is that this is also the first collection to cover all of the books through Half-Blood Prince.
Fun Read for Fans!
"Mapping the World of Harry Potter" is a great addition to any Harry Potter collection. The essays are diverse and hit many subjects, some obvious, like the problems of religion (or lack of) in the series.For instance, "Harry Potter and the End of Religion" targets what the author sees as a complete lack or need for religion in the books, while "It's All About God" defends the religion within, saying that the series is, indeed, spiritual in a natural sense.Another essay, "Hermione Granger and the Charge of Sexism," addresses the charges of sexism that have been leveled at the book and responds with how many of the female characters are actually strong in their own right, not dependent on men to make their decisions or succeed at their goals. In addition, "From Azkaban to Abu Ghraib" looks at the increasing amount of politics in the books, drawing parallels within Hogwarts and the wizarding world to fascism, the Third Reich and other oppressive political movements.

Worth reading, overall,
I read these books when I was about nine or ten. And I was totally, utterly, and completely in love.
Don't you dare put it down!
WOW- I absolutly FELL IN LOVE with these books, and all because of how good the first one was. Some people may say that if you read the first couple of pages of a book, and it doesn't really "light your fire" then don't bother with the rest. I BEG to differ! The first chapter of Harry Potter #1 might make little sense to one, until you have read farther along into it. I know I didn't really "get it" at first, but I kept reading. So don't listen to those people who say don't bother! simply the best...
cant help but to give two thumbs up...it's nice to read a story about a mother's love, great friendship, story with atwist and humor and most especially with a plot and setting that definitely would take your imaginations to the highest level in one package...so hold on to your seats and be ready for the stories that this extraordinaire would leave you spellbound!!! ... Interesante historia, pero el libro tiene mala calidad.
He leido todas las historias de Harry Potter y aunque esta no es mi preferida, quiero hacer notar la mala calidad del libro, las hojas se desprenden tan pronto la lees.. al terminar el libro tienes 893 hojas sueltas!!!!

Horrible binding - buy the hardcover instead
Really, really bad binding. Fell apart on the first time through - and I am gentle with my books. Really excellent for language learning in Spanish, though. Not as traumatic and dark as book 6 (mistereo del principe).

Good but technical problems
I'm enjoying this book but I was quite depressed to finishing reading page 319 and turn the page to see 537.This is for the hardcover.I don't know if other have had this problem but it's something to watch out for....

Not a bad read
This book gave me more to read on Harry Potter as I wait for the release of Book 7.I found his ideas to be interesting, and much the same as my thoughts and predictions.If you like getting your hands on anything about Harry Potter then you will probably enjoy this book.

Good lead for my own theoretical pages
I loved the research put into this ebook. It lead me to write my own 6 page analysis. Spinning out theories a bit more from what W. Frederick Zimmerman wrote but may have missed. Good read nonetheless. If anyone wishes to read my theories I'll see if I can put my email addy on my profile here on Amazon.

Interested in the next (and last --sob--) Harry Potter book?
I found Mr. Zimmerman's book fascinating.It contains a fairly in-depth look at Half-Blood Prince, as well as a summary of what J.K. Rowling has said in regard to her next book.Not only that, but there is also a section that compares the Bloombury book of Half-Blood Prince with the Scholastic book, basically discrepancy-by-discrepancy.
