3-0 out of 5 stars Now this is Pod Racing... Again.
This is a review of Jedi Quest Volume 3 DANGEROUS GAMES.Three Jedi teams are sent to a stone less planet that is ruled totally by 10 people. It is the time of galactic games like earths Olympics except done every 7 years. This planet was chosen for the games due to its high proportions of security personnel as the galaxy has become a more dangerous place recently. The Jedi has sent 3 teams of Jedi with their Padawan's for security. The 3 Padawans are Padawan Ferus (Padawan of Siri Tachi)Tru and Anakin.5-0 out of 5 stars The best so far!!
Fourteen year old Anakin Skywalker has been a padawan for nearly six years, and in that time he has learned much, despite his lingering difficulties in controlling his anger. He and Obi-Wan are sent with two other Jedi teams, one containing Anakin's rival, on a fairly routine mission, to mediate and oversee the Galaxy Games (The Olympics, Star Wars style). It doesn't take Anakin long however, to discover another event going on, an illegal one.Podracing.To give away more of the plot would be a crime to this wonderful book, but let me just say that this one is most definatelly full of suprises.I read it in a few hours, and hated putting it down even for a minute.I recommend it to any and every Star Wars fan, young or old.

4-0 out of 5 stars More Continuity
This third installment by Jude Watson is one of the stronger offerings in this relatively new series. The author has a formidable task, as the cinema experience of Episode II was the culmination of all of Anakin's actions that these books will cover. This series does seem to have the books follow each other more closely in time than past series. She has the same challenge as the movies, she is telling a story about characters that we already know how many of their lives will evolve and in some cases end.Read more

I enjoyed this book! I love it when Yoda uses his lightsaber!

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Cool Series
Isn't it amazing how a so-called children's series has adults raving about it?I do feel sorry for those that pass over these Jedi Quest books because they feel they are for younger readers.Little do they know. The one relationship in the whole Star Wars univers that has fascinated me the most is the one between Obi-Wan and Anakin. We all know what it's destined for and that makes it a very heartbreaking journey to go through with them. But these books make you almost wish that there's some magical way that Obi-Wan and Anakin will work through their feelings.Shadow Trap shows us Anakin and Obi-Wan at one of those moments in their realationship where they're feeling apart.Well, Anakin is anyways. The great thing about this book is that we see it from both of their sides, we see inside both of their minds, their feelings on the matter. If Anakin could only see that while his Master may be disappointed in an act that he commited previously, he's not cast him off to the wayside, he is simply giving him time to try to deal with it.But of course, they are thrust into a mission with this tension between them and must try to find a way to deal with it and succsesfully complete their task.5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Book
This is a great book. Dont judge the book on how many pages it has. Even though it is short, you will not be disapointed on buying it. im not goin 2 write anything that happens in it cause it would ruin the major thing that happens in the book. Buy the book and read it. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Final Showdown
Another great book.I am a new fan of the star wars books, expecially Jude Watson's series.I enjoyed this book, because it gave me a glimpse of what Anakin was like as a teenager, and his relationship to his friends.Even as a teen, it was obvious that Anakin was arrogant, buthe was ahead of his peers in so many ways. This story focuses on a group of masters and their padawans being sent on a mission. The Jedi were stretched thin. The Jedi council decide to try an experimental accelerated Jedi Knight program.Of the padawans involved, Ferus Olin is chosen to be promoted first. This of course, sends Anakin into a rage. From that point on Anakin will harass and compete with Ferus on everything.Anakins friends will see how selfish he truly is.The ending is very sad.You feel sorry for all the padawans including Anakin.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Force is once again with Jude Watson.
Wow! I LOVE this book! I liked how on Korriban you learn a little more about the sith and how it shows the power of "him". (the sith) I felt really bad for Anakin in the end, but I won't tell you what happens. Great book, I recomend it to everyone!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Yet!!!
For some odd reason, it seems that all the reviews for the various books in this series are posted under all of the books. For the record, this review is for Jedi Quest Volume 4, The Master of Disguise.5-0 out of 5 stars Top 10 Percent Of The Series
The error may be corrected by the time this is posted, but these comments are on, "Jedi Quest #4, The Master Of Disguise". There appears to be confusion between the pages showing the book together with the description of the third book in this series. Jude Watson has contributed more books to the Star Wars Saga than any other author. This is not due to the scope of her work rather that she has been the sole author for these series that are targeted at younger readers. Although meant for persons decades my junior, I have enjoyed many of her books and I am not the only ancient reader who takes these books to the checkout and is rewarded with incredulous looks by cashiers. I joined the Star Wars Universe when the first film opened and have remained a fan, and chatting with youngsters in bookstores about these books have made the experience all the more enjoyable.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Jedi Quest #9
This was a good book. Palpatine starts dropping hints to Anakin, (which can get very annoying,) Astri Otto comes back in, a few older characters, and some new. The only reason I didn't rate this as a full 5 stars, is I found a typo which drove me insane. If you want to see it, when you reach it, it's on page 104, near the top. Read it carefully, and you'll see it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Who said Jedi don't have a sense of humor?
This is one of my all time favorite books. I've read almost all of the star wars books, but this is the best one yet! Obi-Wan and Siri are friends, who just happen to be Jedi knights, but it dosen't stop them from acting human! This is a funny book, because Siri, who isn't a girly girl is forced to wear a dress, and Obi-Wan is supposed to be a theif! And Obi-Wan let Siri chose his wardrobe, (which turns out to be a BIG mistake!) and Anakain and Ferus somewhat get along! It's a book filled with twists and turns!

4-0 out of 5 stars Amazing
These books have become my favorite. Me and my freinds are hardcore fans of starwars and we have both read these books. these books take place between movie one and two.

5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting! Awesome!
This was really a GREAT book. I my oppinion it was the best of all the Jedi Quest books. The plot was interesting and the characters were - well, they were the usual Star Wars people! The writing was good and definitely deserves a five-star rating. This is a fun read for anyone who likes Star Wars or the Jedi Quest/Jedi Apprentice series.

5-0 out of 5 stars JQ Books are for all Anakin/Obi-Wan fans !
This story begins when Anakin receives this Force-sensitive river stone from Obi-Wan on his thirteenth birthday. Actually, this is the very stone Obi-Wan got from Qui-Gon on his own thirteenth birthday. Obi-Wan WAS very disappointed, and must have looked disgusted when he got the stone from his own Master for he gets really surprised when he sees Anakin looking SO pleased...grateful,even. In fact, Anakin knows Obi-Wan got the stone directly from Qui-Gon who's been dead for 5 years, that the stone is the most important thing to Obi-Wan in the whole wide galaxy. A thing of value.
4-0 out of 5 stars It was pretty good
It was pretty good. The story is a bit confusing though. I like the idea of getting to know new Jedi and what Anakin did between the movies. It was kind of hard to picture some things but other then that, it was great. The ending wasnt too surprising but it was good. Darra was awsome, and Tru sounded cool also. But that other jedi....I forgot his name... It sounded like HE was headed down the dark side. And I also liked the character Siri. I think her full name is Siri Tachi and Ive read some things about her. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and she wears an outfit similar to Aayla Secura. and Obi-Wan was also great in this book. I liked when him and Siri where working together. It was really interesting. All in all, it was a really good book and I hope you will read it!

The Path to Truth
3-0 out of 5 stars Great book for the newbie
Have you watched the Star Wars movies but left the printed word behind? Many of the Star Wars-related books attempt to fill in the blanks between episodes, and to flesh out the characters. This book is about some of Anakin's adventures at age 13, between Episodes I and II.It may involve the first time he kills a man (a slave trader) with a lightsaber, since he builds his first lightsaber in this book.Could it be that these experiences give you a better insight into why Anakin resists the total obedience required by the Jedi Council?
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Book
This was a great book, and I liked how it tells what happens between Episode 1 and 2, but some parts might be confusing for smaller kids...

4-0 out of 5 stars Great book, but...
I thought this was a good book, but not nearly as well written as the first trilogy. One thing I liked about it was that it addressed Anakin's fear of turning to the dark side, though wasn't that taken care of in the previous book? When I first read this, at age eleven, I really could have cared less about Uldir, and considered him an irritating fifth wheel. But now that I myself am a teenager,(about to turn fifteen) I understand his problems better and sympathize more with his character. This book is best for children twelve and under, but anyone could read it as long as they don't expect an epic. One more thing; how come in Heir to the Empire Yoda's house is all rotted and not even there anymore, but in this book, which takes place thirteen years later, it's perfectly intact.Well, like I said, this book has it's flaws, but it's good.

5-0 out of 5 stars From Selah--absolutely excellent!
This book is the best in the series.Anakin has some spell-binding dreams that you'll love.In this book, Anakin goes to Dagobah with Tahiri and Ikrit. When he gets there, he and Tahiri revisit the place where Luke was trained by Yoda. And what they see there is truly amazing . . .

5-0 out of 5 stars I thought that Anakin's Quest was an excellent book.
I liked this book because it concentrated only on what Anakin did instead of switching to what Han did, or Luke did, and the whole book was about him.It was easy to read and I hope that they write a lot more books in this series. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Its all about ANAKIN (audio Casette)
Anakin is about 14 years old here so this story is -27 BNH on the timeline. Of course, the story is all about Anakin. Where Anakin is only 12 in the Rogue Planet mission and still acts more like a child, here he is 14 and wants to exert more influence in the decision-making. Anakin makes his first friend, because they share a love of machines and ships, Tru. The story is dumbed down of course, but not bad. For reasons that are only to enhance the story, the masters leave the Padawan's behind, finding themselves cutoff. With the masters gone, the Padawan's must work together to solve problems. 3-0 out of 5 stars Its all about ANAKIN (audio Casette)

Jedi Quest is yet another spin off series from the galaxy far far away.I am glad to see that Ramdoom House Audio Publishing group has decided to make this new series availablein the audio format.I generally buy all the audiobooks having to do with Star Wars. This first installment in this series is quite good.Four Jedi teams including Obi Won and Aniken are sent to a planet which is being decimatedby a toxic outbreak and its their job tobring calm and help with the evacuation.Aniken is tested here for he has to put is brash tactics aside and work together with the other jedi students.Of course there are inner conflicts and we see the beginnings of Aniken's desteny.I think Jude Watson has captured this aspect of Aniken right on.The story itself is quite good and has plenty of action scenesto keep the listener interested.Jonathan Davis who did a great job in narrating the novel version of Attack of the Clones reads this one as well.He manages quite nicely to give the slue of characters presented here a distinct voice. He is a nice addition to my audio library. The only minor complaint I have with this book is that there were no space battles; but the ground battles made up for it.I am looking forward to listening to Jedi Quest 2 now.In case anyone is interested there are now over 75 audio books in the Star Wars saga which encompass three different time lines.1, the prequel years, 2, post Return of the Jedi, 3, The New Jedi Order; I have found all the books to be top notch in value and listen to them over and over again.I never rgret bying a Star Wars audio book. Its great that Amazon carries the entire line. This book contains two audio cassettes.Along with the narration, this audio book also has music and sound effects which bring the storyto life. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars The gap widens between Obi and Anakin
This was an excellent book for those following the Obi/Anikan rift that just seems to deepen. to me the highlight of this book is when we get to see what happend to Obi-Wan when he fell into that nest of Gundarks that he refers to in Episode II.
