AMAZING ART ANIMATION

A fantastic example of concept art for anybody!
Apart from the fact that my copy was close to pocket size, i thought that this book was fantastic. Not only does it come filled with amazing concepts, it also is accompanied with the Lion King Storyline. As an illustrator and student animator, it is a wonderful addition to my resources. The sketches through to the complete full colour images are for any Lion King fan, artists or just someone wanting a beautiful coffee table book. If your from overseas like myself and cannot get these kind of books in Australia, i reccommend Amazon and their associate stores. Buy this, its great.

Best of the "The Art Of" series!
I received this book as a birthday present last month. To say the least, Iwas overwhelmed with all the artwork in this book. I love it! The artworkand production animation is breathtaking! I love it and my kids love it!
I have bought all of the CD Storybooks and they have all been well worth the money.I will continue to buy them as they become available.However the one thing that I wish they would get back to is having the stories read by the actual characters themselves.The first Winnie the Pook storybook and the storybook with Bugs Life, Monsters Inc and Toys Story 1 & 2 all were read with the voices of the actual characters.It was great! Then when I bought the new ones it's a womans voice for every character and the narrator.Guess we are just spoiled.It's still worth the money and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a little peace and quiet in the car! tee hee

My son LOVES it!
I felt compelled to review this, because unlike two of the other reviewers, I LIKE that there is no indication to "turn the page."The book is good, but the audio CD is even better. My son got one of these (actually slightly different, it has the "Nemo" story on it and one other that is different) for his 3rd birthday, and wants to listen to it EVERY night while he is falling asleep.I was looking on amazon to buy another one (with different stories).The woman's voice who is the narrator is very pleasant.I think it would be very annoying if there was a "beep" or "turn the page" indicator on the CD, especially for those children, like my son, who like to listen to it as a bedtime story.

Do NOT buy this book if your child cannot read.There is no cue to turn the page.Why would a company make such a ridiculous item?Who do they think is buying these books?We buy them because our children can't read.

Read Along But No Help on when to Turn the Page
Isn't the idea behind a read along to help pre & early readers learn?There is no tone or anything indicating when to turn the page.This is very frustrating for my son who just turned 4 and received this as a birthday gift.Generally he loves these books.They are a great quiet time activity that he can do alone and they foster early reading skills.BUT...without helping him know when to turn the page it isn't any help at all, and he needs constant help.We do a lot of reading together, however, I intended this to be something he could do on his own.A BIG disappointment for both of us!

The Greatest Disney Book Of All Time
This is one of the greatest books of all times. It has a good meaning and a great story plot.It had a outstanding movie that went alone with it, and still to this day the movie and book has the same effect.No matter how many times i watch or read the book. Good, but highly specific.
The book shows only a few poses for each character, and no specifics on character design. That means that you will only be able to draw each character in 1 or 2 poses, and you will not be able to create pictures on your own (of other poses) unless you have a basic understanding of illustration and anatomy.

Roar!
I have 5 volumes of the HOW TO DRAW series and I think this isvery good one because it shows a variety of different characters, not just the title hero in different stages... It's a perfect reference book if you want to try your hand at drawing. Beginners will find it a challenge to "copy" a given picture following the step by step instructions. Artists with some experience will find the hints and a glance at the techniques used helpful. I missed Nala, that's my only critic!

How to Draw The Lion King from Disney is a very helpful guide to the aspiring Disney Animator. I bought it last winter at Disneyland and I couldn't wait to get home and start drawing! Cute for the purpose of introducing Disney characters
This is a cute board book for the purpose of introducing Disney characters.It's a VERY condensed version of the Lion King story.My son is 2 & it's condensed to an age-appropriate level of words to listen to.However, the story is so condensed that it's really not that interesting as a story.My son does like it though...but you would only buy this book if you really want to introduce the characters to your child (especially if you were taking a trip to Disney soon).The story itself is not that fascinating.However, my son does like to see the zebras, giraffes, ostriches, etc. ... Board book look at a small part of the Lion King Musical!
If you have a chance to see the musical of the Lion King... Run to see it! It is the most colorful and beautiful play! The costumes are spectaclar. But this play is not for young children 2 to 5 year olds, even those who love the movie. Wait until they are older to take them. In the meantime they can see a small slice of the play and feel like there where there with you! Again an awesome glimpse into the musical, and if you get the chance to see this play.. RUN TO IT!

Lion King II- Simba's Pride by Victoria Saxon
Great Read! A wonderful disney story! Many different emotions throughout the book and life learning experiences that happen through all the events. Best sequel I've ever read in a children's book!

Memorable, Incredible
It was the best Disney book I have ever read. I am a Disney fanatic, and would have wished so much, to meet Walt Disney, even though he is frozen at the moment. I loved this book, because it was so heartwarming to me, and itreminds me of everyday life...I mean the story. You never know what isgoing to happen next. Something dangerous, something funny, or somethingromantic? I guess it was so special, because my life is exactly like theones of Kovu and Kiara. The writers must have put a lot of time andthinking for this story. I wish the best. Thanks!

I am a Lion King freak, and so have collected many children's books.Ioften am disapointed that the drawings barely resemble the actuallcharacters. Delightful and Cute!!
This is a delightful and cute book for all fans of The Lion King and Nala alike.Nala and Simba are playing a game of hide-and-seek.When Simba doesn't follow the rules, Nala gets angry at him and the two friends go off in search of new playmates.Later, Simba learns the importance of following rules and Nala learns that being stubborn and pushy doesn't always help in the end.In all, the book is great and I recommend it to all readers. ...
