A must for any Maisy fan.
My daughter can't get enough of this book.She could sit in front of it all day long, opening all the flaps and staring at all the details in the pictures.She is on a real Maisy kick, so I knew she would love it, but I had no idea how much.Three months after I first got it for her (she is 21 months now), I still know that it will hold her attention when I pull it out.That's a valuable tool for the mother of an active toddler!

Maisy's Big Flap Book
Allthe children I work with love this book(pre-school age). They are engaged for extended periods of time in pretend play. Also a wonderful educational tool in which to elicit important vocabulary.

I bought this because my daughter LOVES Maisy.I thought she was too young for it (2 years old), but one rainy day I pulled it out because I was deperate for something to do.She loved it immediately and played with it for hours!My only suggestion is to laminate or tape up (with clear packing tape) the Maisy and Panda since they get worn out very easily.I know Maisy's arms don't move then, but my daughter didn't seem to mind.Otherwise, this will provide hours of fun!

I purchased this book and the Maisy Farm book to take on vacation with us. They traveled well and when we opened the book we loved the playhouse. Great book for toddlers!
My 21 month loves Maisy. She enjoys "looking" for Maisy and her friends in this lift the flap book. This book also introduces counting numbers, colors and shapes. A great book for toddlers. Another great Maisy book is Maisy's Playhouse.

Memorable but less desirable pull-tabs
My son enjoys all the Maisy books.Maisy Goes to School is no exception.When he talks about school and you ask him a question he correlates to Maisy.This to me is a great children's book when a child remembers.However, the "Lift-The-Flap & Pull-The-Tap" was found it to be less desirable. We have had no difficulty in the construction of other "pull-tab" Maisy books (ie "Seasons") but all the "pull tabs" in "Maisy Goes to School" do not withstand a child pulling, mostly the one for the pencil.

This Books Gives a Priceless Smile
The color and story of Maisy books are just right for a child of a young age. Each page is bright and creative. Simple, straight and good story for young child
I got this book, in fact, a gift set when my first-born was 11 months old. She is a year now and my husband reads this to her every evening before her bed time in both language - English and Mandarin, while she is holding the Maisy in her hands.

This is not a good book because maisy swears all the time. I do not recommend this to others. There is even a mention of peeing and two of the charecters are gay. do not buy this book for young kids. Take my advice!

My two year old son loves the Maisy books and so do I - the illustrations are so appealling!He really enjoys this book.The premise is very simple - does Maisy live in the stable? no, the horses do etc - but it lends itself to racuous shouts of "no" as he lifts the flap on each page, which is a lot of fun.It's also very robust, which I appreciate.So far none of the flaps have been torn off.My only criticism is that it's very short.I feel a bit cheated by that.If you're after one fun flap book, I would recommend "Where's Spot" ahead of Maisy. ... tiny, colorful, fun
From my one-and-a-half-yr-old's perspective this book has all the elements of a favorite: it's tiny (about 4x4 inches), illustrated in bright bold colors, and full of animals that he can identify by name.I just wish I'd found it when he was younger -- it seems like the type of book a 6 or 9-month old could enjoy, and I'm afraid its too simple to hold his attention much past 18 months.

I was disappointed by the lack of light, too.
Like the other reviewer, I was looking forward to the stars lighting up in this book, and was disappointed to find that feature missing from the book I received.I had to come back to the product page to see if I had misunderstood the description, and now I find that the only mention of the book lighting up is on the cover photo, so disregard that photo.The book is otherwise beautiful, with vivid, gorgeous colors, and I would never have been disappointed had I not had the misunderstanding about the light effect.My daughter loves all things Maisy, so this is a hit with her, and like the other reviewer mentioned, she doesn't know that anything is missing, so she would probably give it five stars.

Sweet books, but where's the Night Light?

Maisy is a happy little rodent with a cheeky smile who journeys (in many changes of clothing) through a landscape of other animals. On the first page, she is traveling by "Bb--boat"; she sees a patch of seaweed, which opens like a door to display a hidden "Cc--crab"; her yellow sail folds back to reveal that she is riding with a stowaway "Aa--alligator"; and a pull-tab sends a purple "Dd--dolphin" leaping from the blue water.
