Great!
My almost 3 yr old and I love this book along with My Book of Tracing and My First Book of Mazes. We work a bit in each one since they all start out with nice, easypages. The mazes are *really* easy and start out as short paths for tracing before looking like actual mazes. We work both maze books using a bingo chip which she guides along like a little car. This has worked well for her since the last ones are too hard for her and she can continue to do mazes at her level by switching books and revisiting mazes. ... Read more

My Daycare Kids Love It!!
When my daycare kids get a little wild, I bring out this maze book and they will sit together QUIETLY to work out these great mazes!! They do fight over the book, so I just ordered three more!!

aMAZEing
This book is fun and amazing, great for parents and smaller kids to work on together and lots of interesting facts. The facts give readers impetus to to go look things up...like Land Artist. Whoever heard of one of those, before reading this book?! I like the way it encourages reading as well as problem solving.

A good variety of mazes!
I use this book with my elementary school-aged students to work on their perceptual motor skills. I like this book because it has a variety of levels of difficulty from which to choose. There are easy mazes for beginning students, and more difficult overlapping mazes for a more serious challenge. In addition, some of the mazes require the use of problem-solving skills in order to follow the written directions. My students love mazes, and enjoy completing the ones found in this book.

Good but aimed at the wrong age group
Younger children will enjoy this book but its mazes have the same look as many free mazes on the web.Do your homework on this book before you want to shell out the money.In my opinion, this book is for children aged 3-7. Mazes, Mazes, Mazes

Maze THIS
Some of these mazes are hard, some are easy, all are in color instead of boring black and white, and all of them are fun for kids who want to be smarter, better at hand-eye coordination tasks and you could even have big kids and little kids do them together. They're fun and they're stimulating.Recommended for ages 4+ to adult.Take them to the doctor, restaurant, airplane trip, church, wherever kids need to be quiet but attentive without adult intervention.

Easy and Hard, brain benders and easy ones too
Lots of great colorful mazes for ages 3-13, good for all sorts of "sit down and be quiet" situations where kids need to be able to work alone without adult intervention. These are slightly easier than the first two volumes of the set, but just as much fun, just as attractive, just as intellectually challenging. Mazes are one the sure-fire ways to increase your kid's attention span (fie on ADD and ADHD excuses), impulse control, ability to carry a task to completion and (yikes) maybe even their intelligence! Best of all, nobody gives you a grade on these things!!!Most maze books are boring, black and white and either too easy or too hard. Just Right!!
I bought this little gem for my daughter, age 4, who enjoys mazes.Fun with Animal Mazes was a real hit with her.The mazes inside were simple enough for her to do without being frustrating, yet challenging enough that she didn't get bored.

ok for it's size
It's my fault I didn't look at the size of the book in the description, I was expecting a size of a regular coloring book. But the mazes seem too small for my 5 year old to do in the car during trips, which is what we had planned on using them for.

These books are great. They are a wonderful begining for the little ones to get introduced to mazes, dot-to dots etc. It is a fun acitivity and they are learning in the process.

Good for the young child

My daughter is only four but all the mazes she does are recommended for children aged seven to ten.She is certainly not doing aged seven to ten math or reading or anything else so I am suspicious of maze age recommendations.Anyway, in my opinion, these mazes are great for ages four to six.They are colorful and fun, but not too difficult.I think the average maze in this book takes my four-year-old two minutes to complete.I want her to slow down a little and keep her pencil inside the lines but she likes to solve it as fast as possible.They really are fun designs so I make sure we talk about the design before she flips the page to quickly solve the next one.

Super Sneaky Indeed!
I bought this book to keep my eight year old daughter busy on a plane trip. It fascinated all of us. These are mazes that you just trace with you finger and therefore they can be done over and over again and by many different people. Her favorite was the penguins going down water slides.This maze even had a half page in the center that enabled you to go backand forth between two scenes. All but one
This book contains lots of cute, unique, and tricky tongue twisters. HOWEVER, there is one (under the heading "Impress Your Friends") about Mr. Inside and Mr. Outside.Guess what they did?Committed suicide!Yes, it's a good tongue twister, but not exactly appropriate for young kids.....The book would be much better without it.

Best maze books we've found
These are fantastic mazes, each one has a rich "story" behind it - not just paths to get from A to B.The detail and variety within each maze is superb. Wonderful!
My 6 year old recieved this book for Christmas at the age of 5 and she still loves it.The pictures are colorful and there is enough detail to keep her attention, but they are not cluttered.There are only 12 mazes in the book, but she loves to go back through the mazes, look at the pictures again and again, even though she knows them by heart. I do think though that a young child does need to have a good attention span to sit and do these mazes, it is not appropriate for all children of 5 or 6. It is rated for children at the age of 9.
