This book is an extremely awsome book
Young science fiction lovers will run to the bookshelves to get a copy of Animorphs: the Andalite's Gift by K.A. Applegate. The setting you will encounter in this book is mostly the forest. Every book has exiting characters but not as exiting as the characters in this book. They are Jake, Cassie, Rachel, Tobias, Ax, Marco, and Visser Three. There is major conflict in this book. It is between the Animorphs and Visser Three's Yeerks, which are slugs that can control your brain. Reader over 25
As always, I'm here with another viewpoint if someone like parents, teachers, etc. might be curious about an adult's point of view on the series.Megamorphs is the first of the series which steers away from the threads of something a little deeper which have been in all the other books to date (growing up, friendship, family, etc.)However, I still give this book the highest possible rating for other reasons.It's the longest one of the series up to this point, and Applegate kept her story together with a smooth, exciting flow which keeps the reader guessing.I was in my early twenties, and have read everything from Tolstoy and Dickens to Peanuts and Garfield.I figured it out, eventually, on the first read, but I wasn't all that far ahead of Ax when it was revealed by the plot itself.Rachel has to deal with a memory loss, Cassie with thinking she's a coward, Jake with keeping them together, and all of them with this dust beast which seems intent on destroying or capturing them.Marco's wit, as always gives a great laugh.The plot is creative, well thought out, and not too far out in left field (even for its target age group) for a sci-fi book to make it totally unbelievable.All in all, this is a very good read for a high action, mysterious, entertaining, and cohesive story for the target age.It can certainly be enjoyable for ages many years beyond 12, as well.

An adventurous and very funny book
Megamorphs are always fun to read. Visser Three tries to capture the "Andalite Bandits"(Animorphs)by using a creature from Saturn that gets attracted to morphing power. This disastrous thing causes the seperation of the Animorphs in different places. They try to get back together, but Rachel loses her memory and Ax gets captured. The other Animorphs don't know where these two are. The final show down with the monster is exciting. Marco's jokes are all very funny in this book. It is definitely a must read!!!! ... Read more

Chun, Matthew - Animorphs
The Yeerks are parasites that go inside your body and control you. The only ones that can save them are a bunch of kids with supernatural powers. They could turn into any animal they wanted to. They are called the Animorphs. The Animorphs are spending a usual meeting when suddenly a drode appears. He tells them that this isn't really they re time line. Then transports them to the real timeline, He tells him the Visser Four the main enemy has found the most powerful weapon in history. The Time Matrix and he is in an actor host. So the Animorphs have a chance to follow the Visser through time and try to stop him. But, in payment one of them must die. Even though they didn't talk about it they all knew who was going to die. Jake, the leader of the team had decided he would die, and everyone knew it. On their travels they find out that the Visser was trying to do everything he could and try to destroy the human race and make them easy to conquer. So the Animorphs go around and trying to stop Visser Three Jake, the leader and Rachel Jakes cousin die in the battle. However, the deal was only one of them must die. So Jake died and so Rachel came back to life. Which meant in other words everyone else was immortal and could not die. Then finally they catch the Visser four trying to leave the host body actor and kill him by throwing him in a fire. They ask the Actor a few questions. But, still their leader Jake was gone forever and all they had was a time machine. The Time Matrix. Then Cassie thinks up the idea that if they could travel back in time cant they change the future. One of the questions they asked was where is parents met. So they go back into the time and place exactly where his parents met and stop his parents from meeting. Then Jake the leader of the team comes back to life and meets them. He asks if they made it right, the way it was supposed to be but they said no. They didn't make it right but, they fixed it.
The best Animorphs book by far.
This is THE best Animorphs book by a long way. At first it was a little weird with melissa in the group and jake insisting on being called "supreme leader" and other weird things. Its about a controller named Henry, who used to be visser 4 but got demoted. He finds the Time Matrix and uses it to go back to important scenes and battles in earths history e.g. American War of Independece and D-Day. He then changes tries to change the outcomes of these battles so that the humans become a weaker species and easier to conquer. The ellimist and the Drode strike a truce in their war against each other to make the animorphs go to whatever time and place former visser 4 goes to stop him messing up the timeline. But the Drode wants something in return. An excellent ADVENTURE
Elfangor's secret was a very great one that no one knew about. But, somehow Visser Four stumbles upon it and starts to change history so that the Yeerks could win the war with humans. The world is changing, Rachel doesn't even exist. Jake is a tyrant Marco is this [messed] up kid. Then Crayak will offer the original Animoprhs a trail on Visser Four and in return he will take one of their lives. This is definitely on of the best Animorphs books and anyone should read it. ... Just two stars
While the bonus installments of Animorphs are K.A. Applegate's chance to shine (a.k.a. Visser, Megamorphs #1) they can also spell disaster. And this book spells every letter. It's as though Applegate rubbed her hands and said, "Here's my chance to put in every random idea I've ever had along with ten hours of research on dinosaurs. No, make that five hours." And she does.
An ok book.
Some parts were disoponting.Other parts were great!Marco finds out about a sunken nucleor suberine so he decides to get the Animorphs to check it out. After geting a navy diver to discover the suberine the team gets sent back to the time of the dinasures. It turns out that they were sent back in time by a suro rip (or however you spell it). Of coursethe team finds out that handeling dinosaures is not easily. Tobias and Rachel almost get killed by a plesisoures. Jake, Marco, Ax and Cassie get attaked by a t rex (Twice). Tobias and Rachel battle with a denchiyous pack. Then when they regroup they find themselves between a war over Earth. They get back to their own time in the end.

What were you thinking Applegate??
Sorry, but this book is definately only three stars. It all starts out when Marco hears about a sunk sub and the Animmorphs go to investigate. Something goes wrong and suddenly they find themselves in preostoric times!

A must Buy!
This book is excilent from the begining till the end.Sometimes, it gets kind of confusing because each chapter is told by a different person. Overall, it is a must buy !

An Exciting Alternate Reality
After a particularly grisly battle, Jake goes back home, where he is confronted with a proposition by the Drode: to go back and never walk through the construction site. Jake weakens and accepts, yet there's a catch: the Yeerks are still taking over Earth and now Jake and the others don't know about it and can't morph. You know what they saying by trying to deal with the devil. This book is totally realistic is how events may have played out if the five never went through the construction site and Aximili was on his own. What's scary is how perfectly logical and understandable character's thought processes are-leading to the events that follow.

Personally, I gave this book 4 stars because of the begining and the very ending. Usually when KA does the Megamorphs and jumps from character to character it's very fluent but this was a little fuzzy.
