At least it was short
A divorced woman who therefore mistrusts all men makes a living dancing in a small town dive of a bar.A do-gooder teetotaler vet comes to the bar to complain to the owner about the trouble caused by his drunken patrons, stays for the show, and after some predictable events, ends up falling in love with her.
Eh. It was OK.
The story and writing was quite competent, and I thought this was a nice tale in many ways. The main characters were engaging, the secondary characters (Jordan's brothers) were likeable. The plot moved along well and there was enough drama and conflict to make it a fairly interesting read. Looking for good example of modern day romance? Read this!

simple, but clear and good
It may have a no-frills feel, but this text really piqued my interest in Egyptian history and cluture when I was younger. It is well-organized with interesting activities suggested, and the writing style is both appealing and clear. Children will like this large-page book with many illustrations and colorful photographs.But only 64 pages.Good introductory info regarding Islam; stuff regarding Islamic countries, culture, Muslim differences, Shiite v Sunni, traditions, daily life, Fatimids, Islamic Spain, Sufism, Mongols, Maelukes, Mughal empire, Fesitvals, Women, Islamism, the Hajj -- not any deep info, but brief mentioning.
