Misty of Chincoteague
Ms. Bailey's reading group recommends this book to anyone who likes horses or to people who live on a farm.Even though this book is an older book we still enjoyed it.We liked the dialect that Henry used for Grandpa Beebe.We thought it was neat to read about a true story.We think you should give this book a try!

A Horse Lovers Greatest Adventure
This book is a time-winding vortex into a world from a different time. Misty is a young horse which is raised in the wild, by her imperial mother which is a legend. Her mother and her are captured by two young children. A boy and a girl, Misty's mom escapes into freedom but her beloved daughter,Misty, is still being fed,groomed,and raised by the two children. They have tons of fun and exiting adventures together! In the end something amazing happens Misty.... Sorry you have to read it on your own! I think the authers main message is to try new things in life by showing tat through Misty. I absolutly adored this book and have read it now at least 4 times! I really hope you take my advice and read this outstanding book.

Wonderful historical fiction for young people......!!!!
My seven year old daughter and I finished this book last night.She was very sad to have it end.What a wonderful account of the devastating storm that hit the islands of Assateague and Chincoteague and the relief efforts to rebuild the islands and the devastated wild pony population. Foal of Waves

Hello? this is a true story!
To the people that think this is so fake, THIS IS A TRUE STORY!!!!!!!!! All of the things Misty's Twilight did in the book are true!

Well, I on the other hand thought it was good
Even though some of you thought this book was a disapointment, I just wanted to let all who are thinking of reading it, it is wonderful! I personally thought it was better than Misty, Stormy, and Sea Star's books, even though I love them dearly. I have re-read it at least twice. I also thought that they should tell more about Twilight's dressage career, and they should've given Twilight a while to actually develop into a jumper. Also, I thought that Sandy should do something that her kids wanted to do for their birthdays. Anyway, despite those flaws, I loved the book, and it gets five stars.

Incomplete Story
I had never known that Misty's Twilight had originally been a cutting horse with a rodeo bronc attitude problem. Marguerite Henry certainly created a historical story about this horse! Overall a neat history of one of the most unusual recent dressage horses in US history but one that also seemed to be incomplete. I would have liked to read more about Misty's Twilight's dressage career but very little was mentioned in the story about it. ... Read more

Another wonderful Marguerite Henry book
I have always loved Marguerite Henry books, and this one is no exception. A MUST HAVE for Misty Fans!
If you are a big fan of Misty Of Chincoteague, you absolutely MUST get a copy of this book!It is a very detailed look at the life of the real Misty of Chincoteague and comes filled with hundreds of gorgeous photos ofMisty, her foals, the Beebes, Marguerite, and Chincoteague.It is adifficult book to locate but well worth the effort and whatever cost youmight have to pay! ... Stands the test of time!
Marguerite Henry's works, _Misty of Chincoteague_ being my favorite, stands the test of time very well.I read the book as a youngster when it was first released.It has been a book I have purchased for all my grandchildren.A magnificent work!I hope the book lasts as long as the ponies!
