A memory of earlier Borrower days
While Arrietty and Homily sit and sew on a piece of cloth, Arrietty asks for a story. Homily reaches back and tells of an adventure from her younger days. When she was young, there was a mischievous boy Borrower named Stainless Knife Machines (a Borrower's last name is always drawn from where they live). When Stainless disappears one day, everyone goes looking for "poor Stainless." Not as interesting as the other books in the series...

Enjoyable Refresher
Here's my perspective on this --- it's been a very long time since I've seen the original films. So I came into this with the more recent films fresh on my mind.
Alan Dean Foster's ghost
This was a great read.I read this book as a kid, however, once I started my hardcover star wars collection I decided to repurchase this novel.
You need to know
Before you read this book you need to know two things. One, although the cover says "By George Lucas" this book was NOT written by Lucas but by a hired author. Two, the book was released six months before the movie, so it is based on the unfinished cut and includes deleated scenes and some minor changes such as red-five to blue-five. It even suggests R2D2 having arms. This book novelizes the movie very well and is enjoyable, but I stoped reading it at the halfway point myself. Great adaptation from one of the best children's authors
I remember reading this one over and over when I was an 8-year-old (hint for the nitpickers here: you are not the target audience of this book). I checked it out from the library often.
Not very good
I'll admit this book is for younger kids, but I have to say that it was not very good at all.Even when I read it for the first time when I was ten years old I didn't think it was very good.The characters are all faceless and boring, except for Han who ishugely exaggerated.The writing is also boring and unimaginative, and very undiscriptive.Children ten and under probably won't care, but adults and older kids such as myself should stick with Young Jedi Knights, and some of the adult novels.

All that I have to say that this book left out A LOT of stuff. Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE fan of Star Wars, but everyone who reads this book deserves to know more than what this book tells them. ... Read more

errrr, i am speechless.
A GREAT BOOK! when i first saw the godzilla power hour cartoon series, i loved it! so, when i bought this book, it was just as good, and now i own godzilla movies, books, and more. and, with some help from my imagination, i befrended godzilla!

OK Godzilla book
I am 7 years old. The Godzilla book is a good book, but I wish that it was just the same as the movie "Godzilla vs King Ghidorah". What I liked was that it had Battra in it, and lots of other monsters in it. Any kid who likes Godzilla should read this book.

A VERY GOOD STORY!
This is Mr. Ciencin's third Godzilla novel and I would have to say it's his best.The plot is about a space rock that crashes near a kid named Troy's house and tells him that Ghidorah is coming to earth. And the rocktels Troy how to defeat it. Meanwhile, Godzilla has his hands full keepingthe peace on Monster Island with help from his friend Anguirus. WhenGhidorah comes and threatens the peace Godzilla and his monster friendsdefend their home from the space dragon in a well written battle. This bookhas a clever and unique ending too. I like how Mr. Ciencin takes the timeto describe Godzilla's personality and feelings, which makes the charactermore fun to read about. That is one of the most unique part about hisnovels - he describes the monsters as almost people with feelings andpersonalities. A nicely done Godzilla book that is entertaining for allG-Fans! ... This book will more than do
If you have seen the movie "Babe" and been delighted by the characters and story, you will thoroughly enjoy this book.I listened to it on tape, and the reader was none other than the author himself, veddy English and likeable.Mr. King-Smith recounts his early years, his stint in the military, the courtship of his wife, the birth of his children and his various careers, including the longest one, that of being a farmer.From these experiences, mostly as a farmer, Mr. King-Smith built a reputation as a children's book author.I was sad to come to the end and longed for more.I hope Mr. King-Smith has another book like it in him; he could follow in the tradition of the much loved James Herriot.A simple memoir, for those of you who like them, full of nice people, animal stories, and the evidence of Mr. King-Smith's sweet nature.A short gem and a breath of fresh air.

The Movie sucked, so does this book
This book is awful.I can think of nothing more boring than reading afact book about an awful movie in which the title character (Godzilla)fails to show up.It's really lame.
