The ticky pot or two trusty car seat
I really like to read this book to my little sister, Julianna. Shelikes it, too.Her favorite part is when he goes to his Grandma and Grandpa's house. She likes to read it to herself, she knows all of the words and "reads" along with me, but sometimes she takes it away from me when I'm reading it to her because she likes it so much!My family likes to hear her say the car seat has a "ticky pot or two". A solid teaching manual especially for parents
Written by two expert self-defense instructors, Child Survival Skills is a solid teaching manual especially for parents concerning how to teach children to protect themselves from dangerous people and predators. From teaching young people to yell, dodge, run, or go to a low-risk adult when a potentially dangerous person tries to grab them, to "red flags" that all children need to be aware of and immediately report (such as when a person stares at them for too long, or attempts to touch any part of the body covered by a bathing suit, or tries to enlist their help to find something lost), Child Survival Skills walks one through the basics of explaining, training, and reinforcing self-protective behaviors in the very young. Child Survival Skills is not a martial arts instructional; it focuses primarily on learning how to teach one's very young children to recognize "unsafe people" (who are often not strangers!), and what to do in case of a bad situation.

Teaches the prevention aspect of bullying
This excellent book could either be used as a vehicle for parent-child discussion, or as a part of a school curriculum. It would be good for older elementary school and for middle school students. It covers a wide variety of safety and personal boundary issues. In this regard, it is superior to many books on personal safety. It presents stories of children and adolescents who are each faced with a dilemma which might put them in a dangerous or uncomfortable situation. It then discusses the options and the possible outcomes. Very practical advice
This book is chock full of very practical advice. It contains story after story written in a way to seem very realistic -- exactly a situation you could imagine would really happen. Then they give very specific andworkable solutions. I am buying a copy to use in my kid's self defenseclasses. I like the way this book makes me feel.
I like the way this book makes me feel. Hang on, Hopper! is a very pleasant introduction into Pfister's mycological studies. I find it also gives great insight into his philosophical beliefs. I love this books, my kids love this book!!!
I have had this book on my shelves for 10 years. I am still reading it. Mine is warn out and I am planning on getting myself a new copy and the kids that come to my house for childcare. This is a great early reader book. Mr. rabbit is so busy reading his paper he gets stuck in the street. Can they get him out. and ones they get him out what kind of trouble is he going to get himself into next. Very short book, but be prepared to read this over and over until your child is reading it to you.

Great Book!
With great illustrations, my 3 years old son can read out the story even without knowing the words.The story is about a rabbit that was struck in the street with cement. The animals in busy town tried to find ways to get the rabbit out, including using big fan, dump truck, stick, and finally power shovel to scoop him up.It is amazing that just with the simple questions, like "Can we blow him out?" can arouse the interest of the little reader to read the book.This is one of favourite bedtime stories for my son. It is really a great book.I highly recommend this book for toddlers.

Like other richard scarry books this one has the usual FUN cast of characters....The pictures are charmingand the words are not imtimidating.It would be easy to follow and predict the words because the pictures are so discriptive.This was a great early reader book.:) ... Read more

Missing too much - or I am expecting too much
Maybe I am asking too much from a Level 1 reader. My incentive for buying this book was to inculcate my 5 year old son on the dangers of fire. Everything that I wanted like: How fire spreads, air is needed to sustain fire was not in the book. Super
Using rhyme and repetition in all of her "I Am..." books, Marzollo makes it a great learning experience for the earliest readers.The paper cut illustrations are always beautiful and work well in thisformat.I would purchase all of these titles if I were teaching science ingrades K-3.There are some new ones due out soon too! ... ONE OF THE VERY BEST PONY PAL BOOKS!
I loved Stolen Ponies because it was about Acorn and he is a very cute pony and he plays tricks on Tommy and Mike. Anna owns Acorn and loves him very much. And in the beginning, Tommy and Mike keep on copying Anna because they come into the paddock and Lulu comes up behind them and blows her Pony Pal whistle in their ears! I have 33 Pony Pal books and they all were GREAT but this one is one of my favorites! The girls always outsmart Tommy & Mike in all 44 books! I recommend this book to girls who love ponies and adventures!

Stolen Ponies
Hi!I really love this book.My pony Acorn does too!This book is about safety and what is right and wrong.Anna,Pam and Lulu have a hideout.They go there with there ponies Acorn,Snowhite and Lightning.On a trail ride they see Tommy and Mike lighting fires!After they tell the angry boys about the danger of lighting fires they go back to there hideout.And before you know it Acorn,Lightning and Snowhite are gone.Lulu is upset,Pam is angry and Anna is afraid.She fears that it was Tommy and Mike who took them.But can the Pony Pals get them back?Read this book to find out!

Don't Buy It!
As a "hot shot" family I was excited to find the book to read to our daughter about her daddy when he's gone fighting fire.This book is a joke.Not only is it not based on fact.It actually has firefighters deploying fire shelter as though it is an everyday occurence.The writer should be ashamed of this book.Horrible verse, horrible story!Don't waste your money!
