Very informative
In 2001, the United States came under its first-ever serious biological attack, when envelopes containing anthrax began to be received by government officials and media people. Beginning then, many serious people began to worry about the possibility of terrorists using nuclear, biological and/or chemical weapons in their attacks. This 2006 book tells you how to prepare for such an attack, what to do during the attack, and what to do after it.

FIRE DRILL PRACTICE at LUV-N-HUGS DAY CARE
I did not like this book. It has too many wordsand being twenty-eight pages long, it is too long for most pre-schoolchildren to sit through. In some cases the print is over the pictures making it somewhat difficult to read.

Great introduction for little ones...
My 2.5 year-old son got scared when the oven smoked and set the smoke detector off. This book has fun illustrations and goes over all the basic fire safety rules that can be practiced with your family. Hipkidhop Stranger Safety
This book was a fun way to read to young children and teach stranger safety too.I used it to teach a room full of day care kids from preschool to 2nd grade, we had a blast repeating the words on the rap-CD that came with it.

Great moral combined with catchy tune
If Bukowski were a much happier poet and wrote a children's book with a compact disc so kid's could sing along to the words, this might very well have been the book he would have written. The illustrations are excellent, but the book's greatest draw is the simple but important message of safety for children. Without making them feel like they're drinking cough medicine, Kevi gently makes his point while getting some amusing chuckles along the way. Some tales of heroism from September 11th
There are hundreds of stories about heroic actions on September 11th and Nancy Louis tells some of those stories in "Heroes of the Day," a volume in the War on Terrorism series.Probably you have heard of some of these stories, such as the ones about Mark Bingham, Tom Burnett, Todd Beamer and the passengers on Flight 93 who fought back against the terrorists on the fourth plane, but certainly some of these will be new you.Louis starts by establishing the All-Out Emergency of September 11th and devotes chapters to the New York Police Department, the Firefighters, Rescue Squads and Emergency Personnel, and people in the World Trade Center towers who helped others get out.Other chapters are devoted to the efforts of rescue dogs, what happened at the Pentagon, and those who fought back on Flight 93.The final chapter talks about honoring the heroes and explains about the Defense of Freedom medal that was created in the wake of the terrorist attack.Because this is a relatively small book, 48-pages long, illustrated with dozens of color photographs, it can only scratch the surface of what happened that day and give young readers but a small sampling of the stories that could be told.Certainly there was enough material on this topic for more than one book. ...
