The Tale of Peter Rabbit
The Tale of Peter Rabbit is a great little adventure book for children. It is wonderful because even without being able to read, a child can understand the story by looking through Potter's wonderfully illustrated Victorian Era Art. I would recommend this book to any teacher or parent. This should definitely be a book in your personal library.

THE BEST BEATRIX POTTER BOOK
I bought this book for my best friend who is expecting her first child.I wanted something Beatrix Potter because I grew up to these wonderful stories and I wanted it to be part of her childs life and memories.I am so glad I chose to get this particular book!The illustrations are beautiful and filled with color.It is a wonderful book filled with all of the popular Beatrix Potter stories that I remember!I recommend this book to anyone who loves Beatrix Potter stories....this is the one!

Kat's Kind Review
The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter was an excellent book. I would recommend it to people of all ages even though it was s targeted towards younger children. The book was about four little rabbits that all wanted to go down the lane or into the fields. The only place that they were not allowed to go was Mr. McGregor's garden. Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail were good little bunnies and went down the lane to the field. But Peter was very mischievous. He went to Mr. McGregor's garden!! When he got into the garden he saw the best sight of his life. There was food galore! He started to eat and eat and eat. He couldn't stop. Then Mr. McGregor found him and chased him through the garden! Peter had many obstacles that stood in his way! Did he make it out safe? Read the book and you will find out.

A Good Book for Young Toddlers
I purchased this book for our daughter when she was about 6 months old but she wasn't at all interested in it, unlike 95% of our other purchases. Then at about 12 months she picked it out for me to read it to her, and ithas increasingly become a favorite.I think the reason she didn't like itearlier on was, ironically, the same reason I readily purchased it - thebeautiful watercolor illustrations.While they are very beautiful, theyare somewhat muted resulting in a look that blurs all of the detailtogether.Of course, this is just a guess.At any rate, she now very muchenjoys this book, and anticipates the action, such as Peter sneezing, orthe "scr-r-ritch, scratch" of a hoe.Board books with astoryline are somewhat more difficult to find than the counting, color,alphabet, opposites, etc. kind, and my daughter has always definitelyenjoyed stories. Additionally, this book teaches us there are repercussionsfor our actions, but in a tone that is mild and appropriate for youngtoddlers. If this is what you're looking for, and you're not looking forstorybooks for a younger baby, this would be an excellent choice. ... Read more

Magical Little Book
I had this book as a child and thought I would never again set eyes on these wonderful illustrations by Beatrix Potter. I didn't even know the title of the book, only remember an untidy "lady mouse" character in the story named Hunka Munka. My husband suprised me with this book as an adult and seeing those beautiful illustrations swept me directly back to my childhood. I realised that I had never read the story, I had memorized the illustrations at an age before I could read. two mice

Naughty tale of a lost tail
This is a story of a naughty little squirrel name Squirrel Nutkin, who loves to tease Mr. Brown, an owl who lives on an island filled with nut trees, which fancy the other squirrels. Daily the squirrels came bringing gifts to Mr. Brown as to gain permission to harvest these nuts in return.

A staple for every home library
How wonderful it has been to get reintroduced to all of Potter's sweet characters.My mom had a small board book collection when I was growing up and I forgot all about these stories.There is just something so warm and relaxing about them.My four year old is loving them (they're a bit too long for my two year old's attention span and she usually wanders away after awhile).However you just can't go wrong with this book--it's a classic and definitely timeless.My only suggestion is that sometimes a "complete" edition is the cheaper route to go, but it does make for a heavy book for little ones to tote around or try to flip through.So if you are looking for something to be a more kid friendly you may want to purchase the individual stories separately.

Funny cute story
This is a cute story about a frog name Mr. Jeremy Fisher, who have friends over for dinner and he figured, he should catch some minnows for the. While was fishing he has quite a bit of an adventure.

This cute little book was written and illustrated by the great Beatrix Potter (1866-1943) in 1906, the eighth of her many wonderful stories. This book tells the tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher, a frog who decides to go fishing for minnows, so that he can have his friends over for dinner. But, Mr. Fisher never anticipated the many problems his little fishing excursion would run into!

Hoppingly good
This is a story of Benjamin Bunny little children, who are mostly known as the "Flopsy Bunnies" who went to Mr. McGregor's rubbish heap and found lots of overgrown lettuces. Astound with their find, they decided to eat their fill but ended up sleeping soundly after they are full.
Another great example of Beatrix Potter's work
When Benjamin Bunny and his children, the "Flopsy Bunnies," go to Mr. McGregor's rubbish heap, they are pleasantly surprised to find it filled with overgrown lettuces. They eat their fill, and then fall asleep. When they are found by Mr. McGregor and put in a bag, Thomasina Tittlemouse comes to their rescue.

Door into the hills
Lucy is a human character introduced to the Peter Rabbit series, has a bad habit of losing her pocket-handkerchiefs and this time she lost 3. She goes searching for them in the hills where she finds a door going straight into the hill. When she opens it she discovers a clean kitchen and a peculiar little person. Her name is Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and she is a washer-woman. Lucie's missing hankies and pinny are being washed and ironed by her. I love the way Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle's little black nose goes sniffle, sniffle, snuffle, and her eyes go twinkle, twinkle. Also, the way she always answers questions with "if you please'm". He thought she was lost and asked her if she was but really Jemima wasn't.She told him she was looking for a place to hatch her eggs, so he took her back to his house where he has a place full of feathers that would be nice. Jemima kept going to his house and one day she decided to stay there until they were hatched. The gentleman told her he was going to cook an omlette for her so he told her to go get some supplies.She did and saw a friend and told him the hole story and one day he went to see her at the gentlemans house.What happened at the end of the book? Repeat orders review
Over the years we have purchased many copies of this book from Amazon.Our children were raised on Peter Rabbit stories and loved them.Now, we live in a small town and every time a friend or friends' daughter has a baby we give this Peter Rabbit book as a present for the new baby.Those who have received it tell us they look forward to reading it to their baby.I recommend this book highly.

Classic story and illustrations, awkwardly organized.
There are three stories in this book, the first of which is the Tale of Peter Rabbit.I think that this edition could be better organized, given its intended audience:First of all, you need to be able to read the tableof contents to know where one story ends and the next begins.Also, thebinding is very tight, making it difficult for the"baby-preschool" age group for which it is intended to flipthrough at the book independently.In my copy, at least, about half thestory of Peter Rabbit is included a second time, presumably in error, afterthe third story.A small child might do better with a smaller, hardboundversion.
