AWESOME BOOK
I came across this book in the bookstore accidentally and believe me, I was awe struck at the way the author has explained the science concepts so beautifully and wonderfully that even the very young can appreciate . My son is 28 months old and 'am on my way to get a copy of this book .I'm sure he'd love all those activities in the book and this is a fun way to introduce even the youngest children to science concepts.Read more

Something practical
This book is part of the "Secrets of the Universe" series.
Real science, real simple
This book by Paul Fleisher is an interesting introduction to a difficult subject.Written ostensibly for sixth to ninth grade levels, in fact many people beyond these levels have gaps in their knowledge about science.For all of its fame, the Theory of Relativity is one of the misunderstood ideas in science.Not as well known as Relativity, Quantum Physics is also largely misunderstood.Fleisher's book by no means presents all the depth of these ideas, but it does provide a very basic framework for understanding.Read more

I'm a teacher who LOVES Valuetales!
I teach K-8 grade children who have behavioral and emotional problems/disorders.This series is wonderful.My mother read them to me when I was growing up and now I read them to my students.I use these books for all grade levels.They are entertaining for kids but they stress important character traits like honesty, determination, and responsbility.I'm trying to collect all of them for use in my classes.These are books I'm sure I'll be reading to my own children someday and I would recomend them for anyone who wants to raise children with character and good, solid values. ...
