The only complaint I have is the $9.99 price!

5-0 out of 5 stars My one year old LOVES Tickle the Pig
My one year old absolutely loves "Tickle the Pig".He not only loves to sit on my lap as I read it, touching everything in sight; he will sit on the floor and play with it by himself longer than any other toy or book.He just doesn't get tired of that sweet little pig!

5-0 out of 5 stars YAY! I Love Tickle the Pig!
I Love Tickle the Pig! I like how Pat the Bunny makes a reappearance in this book! Pat the Bunny comes to life again, and makes hot cocoa! Not only that, but I like cute Tickle the Pig--the material is so fuzzy! I love it so much! I would reccomend this book after reading Pat the Bunny. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book for Parents AND Toddlers
My two year old son LOVES this book and has been known to request that it be read as many as five times in a row! Good thing that the rhymes and pictures are clever and hilarious. A great addition to your toddler (and up) library as it is a book that both you and your child will enjoy reading again and again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pigs Gone Wild
I became a big fan of David McPhail's Pig books after reading his colorful and very funny "Pigs Ahoy."This earlier book again chronicles the age-old theme of man vs. pig with creative rhymes, chaotic scenes, and vivid, imaginative illustrations.
5-0 out of 5 stars Piggy Delight for a Noisy Night
What a pleasure this little book is! The art is striking and hilarious, and the rhyming text is smooth, clever, and never forced or awkward. My daughter adores the boisterous piggies and their many guises: ballerina piggies! Clown piggies! Baseball piggies!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great condition - no flaws and fast shipping
Excellent service. No complaints. Product looks great! Exactly what I expected.

5-0 out of 5 stars Story is similar to...
This book's centraldrama echoes the plotline of Beatrice Potter's "Jenima Puddle-Duck."Of course, the characters of the wily fox and the babe in the woods are archetypes, but compare the two texts side-by-side (Potter's tale can be found online). However, it would be a big stretch to say Steig is "copying"in any way because his work has a charm and originality all its own.Anybody else read both texts recently and have an opinion on this observation? ... I really liked This Little Piggy's book of Manners.I teach Kindergarten and it was a great introduction to manners and etiquette without beating them over the head with it.The rhymes were great and easy enough for the kids to remember. We also loved the vibrant and colorful illustrations of Nancy Wolf. The situations in the book gave way to much discussion about how we are to act if we expect to have good manners. My personal favorite picture is of the little piggy eating lunch. We liked the phrase Utterly disgusting. We were pleased with the little piggies.

5-0 out of 5 stars very cute!
When you think of manners, usually the last thing that you think about is pigs. You get a notion in your mind of a pig rolling around in the mud or digging its snout into the slop and making a mess.I think, though, that the choice of pigs to demonstrate good (and bad!) manners in this book was a perfect choice.Children, including mine, are naturally drawn to pigs, which I believe is the reason for the popularity of Charlotte's Web and Babe.Just seeing a picture of pig dressed up as a teacher on the front of the book was enough to take this book off the shelf and put into our library bag.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book For the Bathroom
My son wants me to read this book over and over to him while he's on the toliet. The end is a bit weak but he just LOVES the animals and saying EWWWWWW and pointing to all the poop.He just laughs and laughs and it makes his potty training fun for him.Even though the end is not too great the book is great for my son so I gave it 5 stars. (I also learned that cow poop is called 'Flop')

Okay, Okay, Okay...hold on a minute:4-0 out of 5 stars Great Book I've Never Heard of
My sister is trying to potty train my two year old nephew.I was visiting one night and he had me read "once upon a potty."i thought it was okay.i asked my sister if she had bought "everyone poops" yet and she had never heard of it.i was a bit surprised, as it had a sort of cult following when i was in high school.so i got on ole amazon to order "everyone poops."i decided to follow their recommendations and also pick up "does a pig flush?".it has become one of THE books my nephew wants people to read.the illustrations are good and the text is engaging.it gets a bit didactic toward the end, but my nephew doesn't seem to mind.i think his favorite part is answering the questions at the beginning concerning "who" flushes.i think it might be one of the better potty books. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Toot & Puddle
My 4 year old daughter and I are big fans of pigs, especially Toot and Puddle. In this story, Toot is depressed, and Puddle and Tulip try everything to make him feel better. It is a very sweet and endearing story of friendship.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Story of Friendship
Toot is moping in Woodcock Pocket.Puddle his friend want to help his friend smile. He tries repeatedly to help his friend. He never gives up until his friend smiles.
5-0 out of 5 stars A perfect story about friendship for allages
I was looking for a gift for my god daughter and my best friend recommended the Toot and Puddle series. She already had the first book and raved about it to me. Not only did I purchase this book for one smart little girl who loves Toot and Puddle, but I purchased two more books from the series for my baby on the way. What I absolutely loved about this book is the extent of friendship between these two adorable pigs, one that reminds me of the deep and loving relationship i share with my best friend.I was so impressed with Holly Hobbie's portrayal of this beautiful relationship, as well as her amazing illustrations that I would recommend this particular book and the rest of the series to children of all ages as well as the adult population, for the joy I got out of it is inexplicable. I can happily say that my best friend and I not only share a love for Toot and Puddle, but that our babies will grow up appreciating its beauty and story about friendship too. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars funny, irreverent story
Yes, everyone does dumb things. It seems that underestimating pigs is a dumb thing to do.Megan, unfortunately, has to learn the hard way.
2-0 out of 5 stars Not his best
My 3 1/2 year old daughter is a huge Munch fan and likes this one well enough, but it's my least favourite. She tends to memorize books and quote them constantly, and I'm not thrilled with the "hey, you dumb...." mantra. This is kind of minor, but how was it that the pigs showed up at school after Megan locked them back in at home? If you're wanting to add to your Munch collection, he's written better.Alligator Baby and Thomas's Snowsuit are fun without the insults and a little more logically consistent.

I liked this book (somewhat) because meagan kept on getting squshed and how they ended up in the pig-pen.I would recomend this book to people with pigs because they would know that pigs cant do all that stuff and would actually think it is funny I think that is one of the worst robert munsch books, even though it was ok(there are better book's) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Book Which Got Me Into Reading
In 1955 I was eight, and the eldest of three brothers. My mother couldn't go to the grocery store with all of us so she'd drop me off at the children's room at the West Hartford, CT, public library, and pick me up on the way home.It was there that I discovered Freddy, and that pig spoke my language! It was Freddy, his wonderful compatriots on the Bean farm, and their fabulous adventures, that started me out right.Freddy Goes to Florida is the first of the series, and is where I recommend starting your own adventures with Freddy the Pig.Hats off to Overlook Press for re-publishing these books in their original look.

5-0 out of 5 stars Freddy's migration to Florida with other farm animals!
Mr. Bean's farm animals are very intelligent. They can read and some can write.A pig named Freddy gets the idea from a sparrow to migrate. He,a cow,a dog,a horse, two spiders, two ducks, and a cat all migrate to Florida for the Winter theyhave an exciting trip there and an exciting trip back to New York they meet the President and alligators and much, much, more. This book is full of adventure and humor.I recommend it to everyone. There are other Freddy books such as Freddy the Detactive,Freddy and the Bean Home News,Freddy and the Space Ship.

5-0 out of 5 stars The New York-Florida issue
How many New Yorkers years for the warmth of Florida during winter? Snow birds?Such are the yearnings of Freddy adn the other barn animals. They leave their farm and start on the trek just as many New Yorkers do down I-95.....but with less adventures.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars smart pig
i liked this book because the pig is smarter than the wolf and has him do things for him like cook and clean him, that way he wont eat him.then the wolf gets too tired and falls asleep.the pig gets away and then you find out in the end that he had planned it all along.its really funny.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kids love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kids love this book-- Which is what it's all about, isn't it? This book is wacky to say the least. I read this to three year olds when I worked at a Pre school. They wanted me to read it every day (of course I happily obliged). We wore the book out! I am now going to be starting at a daycare And I just ordered it so that I could bring it with me and turn a whole new bunch of kids onto it. The best part of the story is the hook in the dialouge. You can totally set the kids up to be waiting for what comes next. Pig:"don't you think Mr. Fox?" Fox:"Hmmm, You do have a point..." The story unfolds in a very silly way, it's so wrong that it is great! This book will keep them rolling. Highly recomended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Foxy stuff
Every children's librarian has their storytime "secret weapon".The picture book that, should all else fail, will completely suck in and delight all children within hearing distance of the storyteller's voice. Some librarians swear by "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus", by Mo Willems.Others keep a copy of "Bark, George", by Jules Feiffer at hand at all times. Finally, there are those amongst us for whom nothing but "Duck On a Bike", by Dave Shannon is the answer.Myself?I figure a person can't go wrong with Keiko Kasza's masterpiece, "My Lucky Day".Telling a tale eerily similar to her early and tepid, "The Wolf's Chicken Stew", Kasza gives us a brilliant picture book custom-made for the storytime tellers amongst us.Keep you Shannons and your Feiffers.Give me a good Kasza anytime.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Hit With My Kids!
I bought "Teatro Olivia" at the beginning of summer, and my kids have spent hours playing with it.The material is sturdy and has taken a lot of play from my children and their friends.Extra blank backdrops are included in the package, so my children have been busy making up new plays to present--Sponge Bob, Harry Potter, Anne of Green Gables and so on.Thanks for a great educational toy!

5-0 out of 5 stars The ultimate child fantasy!
With elaborate fold-out sets, six Olivia paper dolls and a Playbill that offers up plot summaries, your child can create a world of his or her own for Olivia. In addition, there is extra stock so that kids can design their own backdrops, letting their imagination soar. This is a wonderful package, perfectly timed for the holiday season, and sure to be a winner under the Christmas tree.
5-0 out of 5 stars Oliva Fans Celebrate!!!
Ian Falconer has returned to his rich roots of set designing, and created an environment for Olivia fans to truly relish! I just bought this set today, and it is wonderful. The main stage is sturdy and cleverly put together. There are spaces above and to the sides for character placement and manipulation. The included drop down sets are beautifully evocative charcoal drawings, and there are even two extra blank sets to inspire budding scenic artists. A large built in drawer allows for storage of all the included scenic backdrops and figures, with plenty of room left for creations of ones own. The included figures are sturdy and beautiful renditions of classic Olivia poses, with several original to this set and well in keeping with the Porcine Diva we have all come to know and Love!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book
Once there was a mother Serafina Snow, she had 3 piglets, Percy, Pete, and Prudence. One day Serafina had a brilliant idea to start a waffle making business.Soon her piglets were enrolled at school, played basketball, and were involved in plays. When they grew up the waffle business was handed over to them. Each of them built a house; Percy built a straw house, Pete built a log cabin, and Prudence made his cottage out of bricks. One day they met a wolf named Tempesto who didnt want waffles but wanted to eat them! The wolf knocked down Percy, and Petes houses and moved on to Prudences. The three pigs bombarded him with watermelons, pumpkins, cantaloupes, grapes, and pastries. This caught Tempesto by surprise and he was knocked down. The wolf entered down the chimney but was soon turned into a waffle. In the end Percy, Pete, and Prudence married and had kids.I enjoyed this book because it gave a new idea to the story of the Three Little Pigs, it kinda jazzed it up a little and made it a little more interesting.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully done!
I've read and reviewed most of the basic tellings of "The Three Little Pigs", as well as most of the variants. Here's my take on it.1-0 out of 5 stars No one gets killed, but still violent.
I had the impression that this was not a violent book from a rview that I read.Even though no one dies or gets eaten up, it still is a violent book.I think this book could have been better if it did not have a house crush the police officer to the ground right before he was on his way to help the pigs. And the wolf being steam-pressed in a huge hot waffle iron and then smothered in butter-- ouch!Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Becomes more endearing with each reading
This is the first Toot & Puddle book I have read, and I am charmed. The characters are lovable and eccentric, depicted in vivid watercolor paintings that are simultaneously funny and gorgeous. The story is delightfully quirky, and, unlike many other books for this target age range, the language is not dumbed down for the reader. I am now a new Toot & Puddle fan - looking forward to reading the rest of the series. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great for rainy days
My kids absolutely love Preston pig. The story is cute and the pictures keep even the most wiggly toddler busy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of Fun
This imaginative book tells of an innocent little pig followed around the neighborhood by a hungry and scheming wolf. Each page shows Preston walking around the neighborhood seemingly in imminent danger (connoted by the words "when suddenly!" with "suddenly" in big bold type). As noted above, this is almost the pig and wolf equivalent of the Road Runner and Wiley Coyote (except the pig never plots against the wolf), and there are similarly benign results for the pig and violent injury to the wolf. The "violence" is cartoonish, but it's there (wolf is run over by his own steam roller, Billy the Bully gets bitten instead of our hero, Preston, the wolf crashes to the floor, and heavily bandaged wolf heads off to "wolf hospital): You may or may not believe such material is appropriate for your child. We thought it was alright, and the "Suddenly!" hook is a lot of fun (especially for you dramatic readers out there). Big, colorful, sometimes "Mad Magazine" style pictures in its 26 pages. This would also be a very good book for the beginning reader

3-0 out of 5 stars cute little story...but...?
I got this book in hopes it would be a helpful tool in learning Vietnamese. The text is simple enough, but my Vietnamese friend kept giving me alternative translations because she was skeptical that it was the best translation into that language. Not that I personally couldjudge...However, I am looking for more of these parallel texts betweenVietnamese and English and wish there were more... ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Hilarious
This book has to be one of the funniest children's books we have ever read.We originally checked it out from the library and loved it so much we had to buy our own copy.It provides tons of giggles. It is perfect for our 5 year old's silly sense of humor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully funny and imaginative.
Hog-Eye is one of my children's (6 and 8) all-time favorite books. (It's one of my favorites as well!)The little pig's creative explanation of how she missed the bus is humorous, but her family's sideline responses to the story are what make this book really wonderful.Hog-Eye demonstrates just how important a little ingenuity and the ability to read can be.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my daughter's favorite books ever...
My six year old daughter and I have read this book over thirty times, and we're still laughing! A little pig, trying to explain why she missed school, invents a tall tale about a hungry wolf, a soup recipe, and her owningenious efforts to escape the wolf's clutches.Don't miss this book! ...
