The plot is a little disappointing.
The story opens with an announcement that Hollywood is releasing a film about Pokemon.But we are never told very much about the movie.This announcement seems to be a mere pretext to reunite Meowth with his former acquaintances.
A cute story that children and adults alike can enjoy!
This book is a novelization of "Go West, Young Meowth!" (one of the best Pokemon episodes of all time).The episode and the book tell the story of Meowth's past -- how he taught himself to walk on two legs, read, and talk, how he tried to win the love of the beautiful but shallow Meowsie, and how he came to join Team Rocket.Parts of the story are sad for poor Meowth, but Jessie and James come to the rescue and prove just how much they love him.They show him that even if he doesn't fit in with his fellow Meowths, he's still their best friend, and they'll do anything for him.The book's large print, simple writing style, and heartwarming message of friendship make this an excellent story for young children to read.(And even we older TR fans can enjoy it because it shows Jessie, James, and Meowth as they truly are -- beautiful characters who love each other deeply. ^_^)

Poor little Chikorita............Shame on you,PIKACHU!!!!!
I already have the book anyway. As for you people without the book, it's about when Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu,and Togepi meet a beginner trainer named Casey who started out with an ADORABLE Chikorita. When Mr. "Show-Off-Big-Mouth" Ash insults Casey's favorite baseball team, she challenges him to a pokemon battle. She loses easily. Thinking she betrayed the Electabuzz baseball team, she runs away with tears in her eyes. Casey then bumps into 'losers' Team Rocket. The trio convinces Casey that Ash cheated during the battle. NOT FUN For Children
This book comes with pre-printed pages that you actually make the Pokemon characters with. The paper is SO flimsy that my 9 year old son was unable to even tear out a piece without it ripping to shreds. Because of the poor paper quality these characters are impossible to make. I am referring to a 9 year old child who is an artist & especially gifted with his hands and quite accomplished at Origami. If you want a Pokemon manga thats cute and funny...
... then you should get this one! This is the first and only shojo Pokemon manga that has been made, and it's great! The main character is Hazel, a love-sick blonde girl that is desperately trying to win the affections of Almond, the boy that she has a crush on. The problem is, Almond seems to only think about one thing: Catching Pokemon. So Hazel goes to her grandpa, a diminuitive fellow, and asks him to make her a love potion. Unfortunately for Hazel, the love potion doesn't work while she tries to give it to Almond during a picnic. Hazel begins to get fed up with her grandpa, and he decides to give her a love potion that actually works, but for a price: He asks her to catch alot of Pokemon for him, so he can discover stuff about 'the evolution of Pokemon' and how it benefits mankind or something. Hazel agrees, and runs into a whole mess of situations. She ends up befriending a cute Pikachu, helping a Clefairy gain some confidence, joining Jigglypuff at it's baloony party, discover Tangela's secret, and spending Christmas with her loved ones. This graphic novel also includes 3 bonus stories, and 3 'bonus bonuses', in which one of it's hillarious scenarios unites the Magical Pokemon Journey cast with the cast of the Pokemon anime, Ash, Misty, and Brock. A very useful guide
This guide is one of the most useful guides I have ever gotten. Ithas a full pokédex, a list of TMs, HMs and skills, an introduction to the game in the beginning of the book (using the pokégear, trading, etc.) and a complete walkthrough with maps, rosters, wild pokémon charts (with percentages for how rare they are) and tips along the way for gym leaders, puzzles and so on. Even though I prefer not using guides for playing games this has been very helpful.

Good guide! The appearance ratio charts are really helpful, instead of bopping down "Common" or "Rare."

An excellent guide for all ages.
I am pleased to say that this excellent guide has brought much information about the incredibly popular Pok�mon trading card game, and much knowledge about the Pok�mon merchandise. Checkerbee Publishing has made a incredible value guide, considering that they included transalations for the Japanese poket monster trading card game, pictures of the cards, and such information is included in American Pok�mon card game which is also featured in this book. Though this book has it's pros, it also has cons. No estimated prices are given about the American Fossil Cards, and few people are sure that the Japanese transalations are 100% accurate. Though, that should not stop you from buying this stupendous guide. I am very sure this will satisfy thous who are in need of Pok�mon information.

Not hard-core Pokemon material, but still neat
This is a very cute book.I'd definately recommend it tolittle kids, but I wouldn't recommend it to kids who want to bePokemon Masters.Basically the plot of the book is this: Charmander goes into an old house and sees something that scares it.It runs over to the house of Pikachu, Slowpoke, and Bellsprout...This book gives no info on the Pokemon whatsoever, but it's still cute.

Instant hit (for our kid at least)
Our 3-year old saw this book for a a minute in a store, and yet somehow memorized most of it. It has been one of his all-time favorites every since we bought it. Cleary not for older kids, but great if youenjoy thePokemon characters and have a kid that isn't quite old enough for the more'mature' aspects of this phenomena.
