It's Misty of Cerulean City!
In this issue of Pokemon Adventures, Red and Misty travel through Mt. Moon, but on the way they run into Team Rocket, a strange organization who's bent on capturing other people's Pokemon. After that, Red and Misty arrive at Cerulean City, where Misty lives. Apparantly she lives in a huge mansion, and has a whole bunch of maids which Red falls instantly in love with. Unfortunately for him, he gets on Misty's bad side and causes her to challenge him, unexpectedly, to a Gym Battle. Soonafter, Red ventures off further into the Pokemon world, and runs into a freakish looking half-Pokemon half-human that calls itself 'Bill'. If you enjoyed the game, you should really get this issue of Pokemon Adventures, because you'll probably enjoy this as well.

MATO's Magic.
I LOVE this ENTIRE series. MORE than the series, MORE than the Manga, MORE than the game. The artwork was inspiring & the graphics get better & better each issue.

Christmas fun!
This book was funny and I really really enjoyed it. At first pikachu is suppost to give a fortune telling mirror to hazel. But when pikachu breaks it he goes hasterical.Hazal fogives him of corse, and you'll have to read it to find out what happens to grampa.(hahahahaha)Then Hazal,Almond, and Pikachu are invited to jiggypuff's mansion for a chrismas party. They meet an extra cute squrtle and lots of other pokemon. Pikachu and clafariy decorate the christmas tree and squrtle trys to make friends with Almond. The pokemon have a give exchange! just a couple of flaws in the plot
The story concerns a surfer whose ambition is to ride a giant wave which appears only once every 20 years and to plant a flag on a small island to which the wave would bring him.

Good introduction to origami
This book has pokemon characters printed on, usually two, with a slightly different look usually with the eyes. You tear out the paper, cut and fold it. The paper is not quite square the the picture is not exact. A lot adjusting to fit the colours is required. There is a lot of cutting involved but the folding is very simple. The final shape is very simple too and not easily recognisable if there is no picture of the pokemon on it. The picture can be just a face or full and need mounting on a flat surface for it to look good since generally it cannot stand. Recommended as an introduction to origami for children who likes pokemons.

Are you a Poke master?
This is the pokemon test to see what you'd be in the Poke wrold. Great fun for hours!!
Some people say it is too easy but that just matters on how much you know about pokemon. This book has over 200 questions and some pictures that are black and white. ( I think you should get this book if you have played pokemon blue,red, or yellow on gameboy. This game is based on the old pokemon not the new ones.) If you don't have the game, it is a good idea to watch the T.V. show. If you have not play the game or watched the show DON'T BUY IT. It will be to hard for you.

Beautiful
Another beatufully illustrated pokemon book.You just can't beat the drawings in these.

Very clever!
In this book, the author found a very clever way to explain why people hardly ever see Mew.It turns out there's a whole group of Mews living in the heavens, but they have one cardinal rule: Don't show yourself to a human unless you have a good reason!However, one Mew who's shown himself to kids lots of times has a dilemma when a kid he's recently shown himself to is ridiculed by his friends when he says he saw a Mew.However, the other Mews realize that sometimes it's more important to help a friend than obey the rules, and they come up with a plan to help the little boy.

The plot has a few weaknesses.
So the bad guys set a trap for the good guys.But why do they expect the good guys to come that way?This is never explained.
Terrific for beginning readers who love Pokemon
This book, and the others in the Pokemon Junior series, are great early readers for the simple reason that kids love Pokemon.The text is easy enough for my almost-in-first-grade son to read most of the words byhimself, and the subject matter is (for him at least) much more interestingthan the bear and bunny stuff that's in a lot of easy readers.At thisstage, whatever motivates a kid to read is worth buying. Great Book by a really good author!
My daughter and I LOVED this book!!I was surprised to see such a scathing review here, the story of Nidoran falling in love with a fellow Pokemon was both creative and intelligent.We have read Greg Saconn's other Pokemon books and we really enjoy what he does with the characters; providing the Pokemon characters with dimensions that other authors don't touch.

Stupid plot spoils this book
The sappy, dumb plot of this book about two Pokemon falling in love is enough to turn off the kids who would otherwise be attracted to the book because of its Pokemon theme.While not a fan of Pokemon myself, I buy these books for my first grade son in order to encourage him to read independently.While the plots of all the Pokemon Jr. books are pretty preposterous, they usually have a little humor or action to at least hold a child's interest.This one however is just plain silly and even worse, is not engaging as an early reader book should be. ... ONE MINOR NOTE
The review titled "Fun!" is about the "Official Pokemon Collector's Sticker Book 2;" go there now, it's very good. This one is also good.

Fun!
This book is a cool introduction to 33 of the new Pokemon. The best ones without doubt are Quagsire (blue platypus), Quilava (blue and white fire starter Pokemon stage 1 evolution), Bayleef (green grass Pokemon stage 1 evolution that supposedly emits a spicy smell from its neck's leaves-I love that, it reminds me of candles), Hoppit ("Cottonweed Pokemon;," isn't that an adorably precious name? Cute lil' pink thing that blows in the wind and predicts storms in the show), and Elekid (electric type that looks like an outlet plug). The book tells about them and gives you a sticker for each, plus stickers of lots of old Pokemon, too, in cool poses. There are a few mistakes, like calling Hoppit Hoppip and Maril Mareep, but that aside, it's really pretty cool. You can fill it out as you make your way to becoming a Pokemom master!

I ordered this book thinking that it was like a regular sticker book (one that told a story and you put the stickers on the pages). But it was a sticker book where you write down everything you find out while playing the game, watching the cartoon, and collecting the toys. It was a good book if you want it for those reasons. ... Pokemon for Dummies!
