Very cute
This is a very cute book that stars Bulbasaur.A boy and agirl want to use their money to buy something, but they each wantsomething different.The girl wants to buy a tulip, and the boy wants to buy a frog.Then, they find a Bulbasaur, which they think will solve all their problems.After all, Bulbasaur looks like a frog with a tulip on it's back.However, the boy tries to feed Bulbasaur flies, but Bulbasaur doesn't like flies.The girl tries to water the bulb on Bulbasaur's back, but the water's too cold(Not only that, Bulbasaur's bulb won't sprout until it evolves into Ivysaur, but the girl obviously didn't know that.).Finally, Bulbasaur has to go out into the forest and find a real frog and tulip to give to the boy and girl. This book teaches kids to use creativity to solve problems, which is why I'd recommend it to kids.

Board book best for the 3 and under crowd.
This is a cute board book that is appropriate for the toddler set.If your child is at all familiar with the characters of the Pokemon videoseries, he or she may be disappointed:"Bulbasaur's troubles"does not follow the story line of the series at all, rather, it tells avery simple story involving Bulbasaur.Probably a perfect book for alittle sibling of a Pokemon crazed kid! ... GREAT FUN!
This book it's great fun for all ages!

invaluable for the purpose for which I used it
I bought this book in its Korean translation, during the height of the Pocket Monster craze.I then read this book to the class in my own English translation, I was thus spared all the inane "pika's" and "booboo's" which you see mentioned in the other reviews. This gave the class practice in the verbs "goes outside," "runs," "eats dinner," "sleeps."The students enjoyed the Pikachu character so much that they forgot that English class was supposed to be a drudgery. Fun to read!
As a babysitter and pokemon fan, I thought this book was a good way to keep kids busy.

Kinda confusing!
Psyduck is a Pokemon with a constant headache, and if you try to say these tongue twisters, chances are you'll get a headache too!The tongue twisters can be very difficult and confusing.My favorite one is this: Newlywed Ninetales nuzzle whiskers.This book wasn't made to teach your child lessons or something important like that; this book was made solely for the purpose of fun. ... The best you can get!
To me, this is probably the best of Pokemon drawing books. What really surprised me was the book included Pokemon #151 (Mew)! This is definitely a good book for first time artists and experienced artists. Clearly shows how to draw the Pokemon and also clearly shows the instructions. If you draw(And/or like drawing Pokemon), it's definitely worth buying!

I thought this book was as cool as the firs, if not cooler, it has some more of the rarer pokemon like Mew! The pokemon you can learn to draw are: Jigglypuff, Chansey, Doduo, Grimer, Mankey, Poliwag, Weedle, Slowpoke, Dratini, Drowzee, Lapras, Geodude, Golbat, Growlithe, Haunter, Horsea,Jolteon, Dragonite, Falreon, Nidoran, Ninetales, Paras, Persian, Sandslash,Abra, Lickitung and Mew! On the cover it has Primape, but it's not includedin the book, it must just be a clerical error, they put Primape on thecover instead of Mankey. ... Read more

Where are the others?
I searched all over for the other comics in this series with no success. Now I,m woundering is it possible that they only did one book. I see it this way, if they continue the show, continue the comic. I would appreciate any reply on this and hope that this series of comics has another issue and not just the one. Micheal's Comments

wow this book waws good.
for a Junior pokemon book, this book was good. the plot was so great. I have read this book like a hundred times, and i still can't get enough of it.

Excellent reading motivator for Pokemon fans
Like the other Pokemon Junior books, this one has enough of a plot to interest the early-elementary set, and is easy enough to read alone or with only a little help.My six year old is able to read it along with me withjust a little help on the longer or more unfamiliar words.Most of thereally difficult words are the names of Pokemon characters, which he canusually recognize by sight or get from context, which is kind of thrillingfor him.He anxiously awaits each new book in this series, and as aparent, I am glad to see him getting so much pleasure from reading. ... Very nice
The CD was great and I would have given it five stars except that I despised Misty's Song. Other than that is was perfect. The way they extended the theme song was very clever. It's Misty of Cerulean City!
In this issue of Pokemon Adventures, Red and Misty travel through Mt. Moon, but on the way they run into Team Rocket, a strange organization who's bent on capturing other people's Pokemon. After that, Red and Misty arrive at Cerulean City, where Misty lives. Apparantly she lives in a huge mansion, and has a whole bunch of maids which Red falls instantly in love with. Unfortunately for him, he gets on Misty's bad side and causes her to challenge him, unexpectedly, to a Gym Battle. Soonafter, Red ventures off further into the Pokemon world, and runs into a freakish looking half-Pokemon half-human that calls itself 'Bill'. If you enjoyed the game, you should really get this issue of Pokemon Adventures, because you'll probably enjoy this as well.

MATO's Magic.
I LOVE this ENTIRE series. MORE than the series, MORE than the Manga, MORE than the game. The artwork was inspiring & the graphics get better & better each issue.
