Typical 1980s teen romance...
I loved this series back in the 80s, I grew up with this kind of fluff in school. To me school in the 80s was a million times better than current day.
Predictable but enjoyable 1980s romance
This is the classic 1980s ugly-ducking-gets-her-guy predictable romance where you know exactly what is going to happen all the way through,and you know that Lynne is going to get her..Guy!!(that was his name!)All the same,it is really enjoyable and very much held my attention and interest.

One of my favorites
I started reading SVH books at age 11; I am 25 now and will still pick up a book every now and again.I'm from the old school; I really think the series went to pot after the first fifty titles.Anyway, Alone in the Crowd was one of my favorites. LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
A wonderfully written and illustrated book which really appealed to both my young sons. My 8 year-old loved the book because "the boy was able to overcome his shyness and help someone" and my 5 year-old was so happy that "the boy made a new friend and wasn't alone anymore". This beautifully illustrated book had such a warm message about overcoming shyness - a real obstacle to many children today.I would thoroughly recommend this book, especially for any child suffering from shyness. ... A cute story about friendship.
This story is about a little shy bunny named Daisy. She would cry because she had no friends. The other animals would tease her and make her cry. They also made fun of Roger the cat. Daisy and Roger became friends. The Daisy and Roger saved Stanley who was a squirrel from a tree during a terrible downpour. Then all the animals that made fun of them wanted to be their friends because they heard about the daring rescue. Which Stanley by the way was one of them who teased Daisy and Roger. So this is a great book for kids to teach them not to tease because someday they might just save you from danger. ... Read more
