Loving story to share with your children!
I really love this book.It starts off with a baby's yawn and how contagious it is and soon the baby's mother is yawning, then the dog, then people all over the earth.The pictures show different international people and are beautiful and loving. An essential part ofa bedtime routine
This book should be included in the bedtime story canon, along with classics such as Goodnight Moon.
Great!
Both my five year old and three year old love this book.There are some familiar sleepy animals like bears, horses and dogs, but there are also a few that we don't think about very often like moths, cranes and even crickets.The children find it so interesting to see how other animals sleep and then compare it to how little boys and girls sleep.My kids have a hard time "winding down" at night so this is a good transition for them.They also get to see that EVERYBODY sleeps.Also worth noting is that the images are truly beautiful.And I like the fact that while this book reads like a poem, it doesn't rhyme.

Kids love it
A very simple little book; my 3 grandkids (twins age 3 and a girl 5) just love it. One review mentioned that the text doesn't flow. I also found it clumsy the first time thru, but after that it'll be easy to read, because your kids will insist on it every night.

Can't Sleep - Not a bedtime winner.
Although this is a relatively thick board book, I honestly don't feel it is worth the paper it's printed on.The drawings are colourful but badly drawn, the text is simple but doesn't flow well making it almost boring.The story itself is reassuring for little ones hesitant to go to bed at night, but I do wish that a better job was done with this book.If you are looking for a cute/fun bedtime book you are better off checking out the Sandra Boynton selection.This book would only benefit someone trying to ease a childs fear and even then, the book is not that interesting.

Such a sweet book
This book is so sweet and simple.It indirectly addresses the fears little ones may have about being the only one awake in the house,while reassuring them that someone is always awake watching over them.It is not wordy in the least.Everything is conveyed through colorful art and positive text.My two year old loves this book and so do I.It's a classic. ... An enchanting story for all toddlers
This is one of the most creative and enchanting stories for children I have ever read, with captivating illustrations to boot.My 2 1/2 year old daughter asks for "Hubashy" every night before going to bed.It simply is the best book in our collection.

Wonderfully soothing nighttime story for toddlers+
My kids recently fought over who would get this book in their personal bookcase.My boy is 5, my girl 3!Even little boys who like to watch action shows during the daytime and make guns out of tinkertoys will enjoybeing put to sleep with this book...it is soothing and repetitive, andcalmed both my children right down.They have nice bedtime memories, and Icould probably read it every night as a ritual and they wouldn't mind. I ambuying a copy for my sister-in-law's little baby who is due in May.Mykids enjoy watching everything slowly going to sleep, and finally too, thereluctant little girl, who is limp in her mama's arms by the end of thebook (as my own children were!).Highly recommended bedtime book, right upthere with Goodnight Moon. ... A Sleepy Novel
I think Diane Hoh must of been "Night Writing" when she wrotethis as it seems very loosly written and tirsome.I have read all theNightmare Hall books in secquence, so this in my nineth, but if the nextone is as bad it will be my last.The plot to this book is okay, but theending is just awful and totally predictible
