5-0 out of 5 stars this book is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this book there's so many good charecter's (I like lowie the most in this book!!!!!!!!!!) and I love the theme park
5-0 out of 5 stars This book deserves 10 stars!
Well, I have to say that this was the best Young Jedi Knights book to come along in a while.Oh, but don't get me wrong, they're all good, but a few definitly stand above the others.Namely, Lightsabers, Jedi Under Siege, Jedi Bounty, and The Emperor's plague. And now Trouble on Cloud City has joined the ranks of the great. In this book, Lando askes Jacen, Jaina, Lowie, Tenel Ka, Anja, and Em Teedee to come with him to Cloud City to help supervise a new amusement park he is building there. When they get there however, they find that Lando's partner has been murdered, and they set out to find who did it.Anja knows of course, or at least guesses that her master Czethros is at work and she struggles on many moral points concerning her new friends, and her growing adiction to Andris Spice.Actually, in this book I found myself softening a bit towards Anja, who I previously hated.I still don't like her nearly as much as the other characters, but I began to realize that she is a victim is her own right, since it isn't her fault she was mislead and used and duped into Andris. Also, this book focused a lot on Tenel Ka, who is my favorite character in the series, and allowed us toget inside her, and see her thoughts and feelings in a way that has not been done since the masterpiece of Lightsabers. Her reaction when Jacen fell of Cloud City was heartbreaking, and I'll confess, that the scene where they all thought that they would never see him again almost had me in tears, and I never, EVER cry over books or movies or anything.I liked how this booklet us see how much Tenel Ka truly cares about Jacen.Speaking of Jacen, his crush on Anja seems to have ended, which may in fact be what opened me up to her a bit, since I was always adamently against that.Anyway, I would recommend this series toany Star Wars fan, no matter what their age, even though they are generaly geared towards the 10-15 set. Also, this book wouldhave a stronger effect on you and generally make more sense if you have read the previous twelve first, though if that is to much work, it is at least reccomeded that you read the one beforeit.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you love Star Wars you will love this series!
These are great books! This book is great for begginers. The story is great, the plot is great, it's very intriging. The book is about Jason, Jaina, and Tenel Ka, and Lobaca.Lando Calorisian is inviting the Young Jedi Knights to his Resort on Cloud City. The kids will come as long as they can bring their friend Anga Gilrado. But what they will find out is...You'll just have to read the book. It's a great book as a gift. It's a must for all Star Wars fans. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Yet!!!
For some odd reason, it seems that all the reviews for the various books in this series are posted under all of the books. For the record, this review is for Jedi Quest Volume 4, The Master of Disguise.5-0 out of 5 stars Top 10 Percent Of The Series
The error may be corrected by the time this is posted, but these comments are on, "Jedi Quest #4, The Master Of Disguise". There appears to be confusion between the pages showing the book together with the description of the third book in this series. Jude Watson has contributed more books to the Star Wars Saga than any other author. This is not due to the scope of her work rather that she has been the sole author for these series that are targeted at younger readers. Although meant for persons decades my junior, I have enjoyed many of her books and I am not the only ancient reader who takes these books to the checkout and is rewarded with incredulous looks by cashiers. I joined the Star Wars Universe when the first film opened and have remained a fan, and chatting with youngsters in bookstores about these books have made the experience all the more enjoyable.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good continuation.
I am not a big hater of Mr. Anderson like a lot of people are. These were written to a younger audience and he achieved it. They are still interesting and these stories play a big part in the following books. I would recommend this book to Star Wars fans young and old. I'm sorry I waited to read these but it makes them more interesting knowing what happens to them later.

3-0 out of 5 stars Its ok
This book is ok but there is no lightsabers in it so its not really exciting

5-0 out of 5 stars An Incredible Sequal to the Young Jedi Knights Series
I especially liked this Book because it really starts the Jedi/Sith relation ship and it begins the actual story because it introduces the real enemy to the Jedi: The Shadow Academy.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A Planet Full of Lies
This book takes place a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Kegan is the one planet that has no communication with the outside world. No one goes in and no one comes out. It has been that way for many years on Kegan and when the Jedi get a message from a family that thinks that there child is force-sensitive(able to interact with the force). When the Jedi here this they know that the must act upon it. Master Yoda summons Obi-Wan, Adi, Siri, and Qui-Gon to the council chamber. They have to get the force sensitive child to Coroucant in order to be trained. The team of Jedi soon find themselves tangled in a web with Kegan's affairs. The masters and padawans get separated from each other and have to fight endlessly to get back together. I think that this sci-fi story is very exciting with a lot of action and adventure. The Jedi have to fight for many things including there live.
5-0 out of 5 stars The Planet of Kegan
The Fight for Truth
4-0 out of 5 stars Foreshadowing...Difficult to see, the future is...
This book contains some good foreshadowing for Episodes 3 and 4.I am enjoying this story quite a bit already, but this tie-in about things to come in the famous movies really makes this series seem closer to Star Wars than just the names of the characters being the same.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for kids who love Star Wars
This book was my favorite in the Junior Jedi Knights series. I love the Melodies! The idea of a planet where kids rule is sooo cool! However, I don't think Luke should have let Anakin and Tahiri go on a dangerous trip like that with only Peckum to watch out for them, and even he is conveniently gotten rid of as soon as they land. Luke should have at least sent a Jedi with them. But then, part of why I love this book is because the kids are on their own protecting themselves, so what am I complaining about? One thing I wondered about was what ever happened to Sannah? She is never mentioned again in any other book, and I rather liked her character. I would recommend this book to any Star Wars fan, but kids twelve and under would probably enjoy it best. When I first read this at age ten I thought it was the best book I had ever read, and even now I still enjoy reading this series.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fair
Lyric's World is Yavin 8, which is inhabited by many dangerous creatures. It's a place where Anakin, Tahiri, and their new friend Lyric have a few adventures. However, I only gave it 2 stars because the children make less progress in their assignment than I had hoped.Although some some excitingadventures do happen (you've got to read the book to know what I mean),they don't seem to come too much closer to their goal: solving the GoldenGlobe.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book was the best I've read.

5-0 out of 5 stars ties that bind
I found this book to be just as fulfilling as all of the Jude Watson books so far. Seeing that Qui Gon Jinn was only inthe first movie these books let us see how the great Jedi master really was in our own imagination. I am also a big fan ofr Obi Wan stories and Watson's books are great to see his past as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Story arc exploring Qui-Gon's heart...
Obi-Wan Kenobi is now sixteen-years-old and now has a pretty solid relationship with his master, Qui-Gon Jinn. But right now he is very confused as his master acts distant. The reason is because Qui-Gon is being plagued with terrible dreams about his good friend, the Jedi Tahl, and because of this, he is troubled in his heart. Tahl instead just feels that he is being protective of her because of her blindness. Because of this, Tahl resents any help from him. So when Tahl leaves for a solo mission and doesn't return on schedule, he defies the council and goes to the planet Apsolon to find her. Naturally his confused apprentice follows. But nothing is as it seems. Six years ago Qui-Gon and Tahl had helped bring peace to the planet of Apsolon. But now their leader has been killed and his twin daughters are in trouble. The people are divided between the Workers and the Absolutes and there is unrest as there are secrets and sabotoge. Will the Jedi be able to help the people of Apsolon? And at the same time, will Qui-Gon be able to search his heart for the answer about his feelings for Tahl?4-0 out of 5 stars A great book for all ages
It is agreat book. It does get a little mushy at the end but besides that it is a great book. Qui-Gon is a little destracted in this book and doean't pay much attention to Obi(besides giving him that pastry). It get confusing for a little bit(barely any but still). ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Amazing
These books have become my favorite. Me and my freinds are hardcore fans of starwars and we have both read these books. these books take place between movie one and two.

5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting! Awesome!
This was really a GREAT book. I my oppinion it was the best of all the Jedi Quest books. The plot was interesting and the characters were - well, they were the usual Star Wars people! The writing was good and definitely deserves a five-star rating. This is a fun read for anyone who likes Star Wars or the Jedi Quest/Jedi Apprentice series.

5-0 out of 5 stars A story arc with an intricate web of twists and turns
The two Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Tahl have made to each other a commitment of love. But now that Tahl has been abducted while on a mission on the planet of Apsolon, Qui-Gon will push himself to the limit to rescue her. Qui-Gon is consumed by dark visions, visions foreseeing something terrible about to happen to Tahl. With his apprentice Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon must rescue Tahl before it's too late. But nothing is easy as both enemies and friends may not be trusted because everyone has something to hide...5-0 out of 5 stars the outstanding book
This book is problely one of the best Star Wars books. Even though the ending is a little sad but f the rest is exiting. If you have lots of imagnation and like Star Wars or starting to like it I recommend you to read it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great emotional book

5-0 out of 5 stars A REAL page-turner!
I love Star Wars. When I first got into the whole Galaxy of Fear book series, I wasn't sure whether or not I would like it. I ordered it(book 4), not knowing what it was even about! But when I finally DID get around to reading it(which was about a month ago) I had a hard time putting it down each time, because it was soooooo interesting! And as I put it in as my review title: The Nightmare Machine is a real page-turner!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Fascinating Ending
The ending of this book was so great that it couldn't get any better. On the last 30 pages, I couldn't stop reading. It even started to scare me. The Galaxy of Fear series is a great series that mixes in suspense with the story. I encourage anyone to read this book. It has a great plot, and is easy to read. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars The last book in the three-book story arc
The grief-stricken Qui-Gon Jinn wants revenge on the people responsible for the murder of his loved one, Tahl. His apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi is lost as he struggles to comfort his master and at the same time concentrate on the mission they are on. When Jedi Council member Mace Windu and Bant, Tahl's apprentice, come to aide them, Obi-Wan feels that everything will get better. But he couldn't be more wrong as Qui-Gon strikes out on his own, Bant resents him for not contacting her earlier about her master Tahl, and the situation on the planet Apsolon becomes perilous. Can Qui-Gon begin using his Jedi training to control his personal feelings? And can the mystery surrounding Apsolon be solved before it's too late?4-0 out of 5 stars vengence isn't always nessesary
The call to vengence is a continuing to the book previous to this one in the series named "The Ties that Bind". The call to vengence is all about the main character Qui-Gon-Jin trying to find the man who had his jedi partner killed and to pay justice to him, throughout the book Qui-Gon is attempting to keep his rage for vengence in check. 2-0 out of 5 stars depressing...
It gets two because it's Jude Watson, that's all. This is probably my least favorite of all the Jedi Apprentice, and in it, Qui-Gon behaves in a way that is not only unJedi-like, but unlike Qui-Gon as well. I could write him better than that, and I'm no professional writer. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A little too much of a cliff hanger.
This was an ok read overall. It was, as the others in this series, a quick read. With this being a set up for five book story arc it was a little uneventful. The knights did get to tangle with a notorious bounty hunter, Boba Fett. He's on the cover so that was pretty apparent. The characters and plots are begining to get a bit repetitive, I hope when I'm able to find a copy of the following books they will improve.

2-0 out of 5 stars Young Jedi, An Old Dissapointment
Poorly written, a quick read..Overall the book seemed a bit rushed for my liking developing only a bit of the character relations. Also what about lukes birthday? Seems kinda odd not to celebrate the masters birthday. The book near the ending picked up abit, but it seemed the young jedi were always saved, or the luckiest people in the star wards universe, seemed like an amatuer right the battle script, so excited and not knowing where to end it.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Final Showdown
Another great book.I am a new fan of the star wars books, expecially Jude Watson's series.I enjoyed this book, because it gave me a glimpse of what Anakin was like as a teenager, and his relationship to his friends.Even as a teen, it was obvious that Anakin was arrogant, buthe was ahead of his peers in so many ways. This story focuses on a group of masters and their padawans being sent on a mission. The Jedi were stretched thin. The Jedi council decide to try an experimental accelerated Jedi Knight program.Of the padawans involved, Ferus Olin is chosen to be promoted first. This of course, sends Anakin into a rage. From that point on Anakin will harass and compete with Ferus on everything.Anakins friends will see how selfish he truly is.The ending is very sad.You feel sorry for all the padawans including Anakin.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Force is once again with Jude Watson.
Wow! I LOVE this book! I liked how on Korriban you learn a little more about the sith and how it shows the power of "him". (the sith) I felt really bad for Anakin in the end, but I won't tell you what happens. Great book, I recomend it to everyone!

4-0 out of 5 stars A very good book, worth 4 1/2 stars
Though I had read the intire Young Jedi Knights series (except the final trilogy) several times, I was surprised to note as I started reading it once again that this was the only one so far that I remembered virtually nothing about. In it, Jacen and Jaina's old friend Lusa comes to the Jedi Academy desperatly seeking refuge from the Diversity Aliance, an all alien political movement bent on destroying all humans, that she was once a part of.Meanwhile, everyone continues to search for Bornan Thul who is desperately trying to evade capture from the Diversity Aliance and keep from them the information he is protecting, because if they get ahold of it, it could mean the end of humankind...Meanwhile, Raynar gets a crush on Lusa and it moves him to do something for his family while his father (Bornan Thul) is missing. He decides to go to Mechis 3 and take care of his uncles droid operation since he too seems to be missing. As you can probably guess, everyone goes with him and discovers a startling truth. In general, this was a worthy book to continue this fascinating saga that tells of the next generation of Star Wars heroes, though not the best in the series. For one thing I wish they would include Anakin more.He is my favorite of the Solo children (with Jaina as a close second) and it's not as it there is even a big age difference, he is only a year and 1/2 younger than Jacen and Jaina.Another thing that bothers me is that who exactly gave all the kids permision fly around the galaxy by themselves?Just because Tenel Ka has her own ship somehow gives EVERYONE the freedom to go where they please. This does not sound like something that protective parents like Han and Leia would allow.I myself am fifteen, the same age as the kids in this series, and I am not allowed to do these things.Oh well, it is just a book.Oh, and one more thing, I would not advise reading this book before the others in the series, because it will make absolutely no sense on it's own.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great series!!
I've been reading the Young Jedi Knights series from Book One and havealways been looking for the next one to come out!I absolutely love howthe characters have really come into their own and seem nearly real -almost like you know them! This book was not the best on I've read in theseries, but it was good and I can't wait to grab the next one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Lame City Or Not
Star Wars: Galaxy of Fear "Eaten Alive" is a great mystery of trust and honesty. In the book, it shows that even though siblings can be so annoyed of each other, they can just as easily help each other out in life. These brother and sister find out how useful it is to have trust in somebody by finding out that the the people of the planet they are on not only have a secret of their own but the planet does too.I recomend this book to any reader or person who likes something that has to do with great characters, Star Wars, suspense, or great mysteries.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK
This book is very different from the others in the series.Instead of one big problem the book is a lot of problems, also it is the only book in the series where so many people die and you feel sorry for them. You wouldnever imagine that such harmless technology can be so deadly, and you wouldnever guess who the killer is. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Book vs Dvd
Greatings again to everyone!
4-0 out of 5 stars Good read but lack's detail
I gave this book a 4 because it does not cover the story in depth. But then again it was never meant to do that. To get the details, either read the junior novelization or the adult version of the book. But I got this for the color pictures from the movie. To me this tells the story much better. and there are heaps of pictures from the movie. The book gets a 5 for pictures, the layout and the flow of the story but an overall 4 for lack of detail.....

5-0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Book
Do you like Star Wars? Well if you do you should read the book the Diversty Aliance part of the Jouner Jedi Kinghts series. Its about after the movies. Its hard to compare to any series because most of the other books are about the movies. The book the Diversty Aliance is about a group of aliens called the Diversty Aliance that are looking for a plague that can kill all human life but aliens are immune to it. There leader has sent allmost every bounty hunter to find it. I think it was a good book for ages 9-13 I read this book in 1day. I liked it because I`m a Star Wars fan and you get to read about some old charters like Han Solo And some new ones like Louwe.

5-0 out of 5 stars A very good book that does credit to the series
I have always thought the first series of Young Jedi Knights (Heirs of the Force, Shadow Academy, The Lost Ones, Lightsabers, Darkest Knight, and Jedi Under Siege) to be superior to this series (Shards of Alderaan, Diversity Alliance, Delusions of Granduer, Jedi Bounty, and The Emperor's Plague) simply because the foe was a little more interesting to me, and the characters seemed a bit better fleshed out.Now that I am older however, and reading these again for the first time in several years, I have more of an open mind and I realized that this second series is in fact very good, and, while it doesn't have as much action as the first series, the character development is superb. In this book Raynar's mother calls him to come home and be with her while his father is missing. He does and is accompanied by Jacen , Jaina, Tenel Ka, and Lowie who wish to keep him company and give him moral support while he gets settled but as you can propably guess, things do not go exacly as planned, and soon they are all off on an adventure to Kuar to try and discover where Raynar's father might have gone, with the absence of Raynar, who stays with his mother.Through epic battles with giant combat arachnids and assasin droids, they begin to discover that Raynar'sfather could be hiding for more reasons than his reputation, andthat in fact there is a high probability that he is in fact hiding a secret that could destroy the galaxy...So anyway, this was a great book, though it would make more senseif you have already read all the previous books in the series, including the ones from the first series. One of the few things I don't really like that much about this series, is that everyonehas to have someone else to "like".This gets incresingly annoying as the series goes on and the kids get older. And lets face it, Raaba's only purpose of existance is so Lowie will not be left out of all this.Zekk started out that way too, but luckily he now has his own place in the Star Wars world other than The Boy Jaina Likes, so I guess there is still hope. One ofthe good things is that it only goes as far as mild crushes and never all that boyfriend/girlfriend, breaking up and all that, sothat is good thing, especially for someone like me who is not very big on romance at all, especially imature teen romance whichseems to be so popular.

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth your money
If you've read all of the other books in the series, you'll enjoy reading this one.If you haven't, you may want to read "Shards of Alderaan" first. However, this book is wonderful for leading up to the rest of the Diverstiy Alliance based books. It's a lot of background setting for the rest of the series. You won't regret buying it. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Interesting back stories.
I read the NJO series before reading these and so I was familiar with the characters that were introduced. Jaina and Jacen Solo appeared in other books first. It is a pretty interesting read, but of course it was ment for a teen audience. I read it in probably less than two hours total time. It wasn't ment to be too indepth. It was an introduction for the series. I'm looking forward to reading the rest. It is worth your time to read because these characters play big parts in both the NJO and Dark Nest series.

1-0 out of 5 stars I wish George Lucas had asked me to read this first...
Please know that I LOVE all things Star Wars--movies, books, figurines, articles, the website--everything.This book, on the other hand, was a dismal failure to put it positively. What it has going for it:multisyllabic words, two of four protagnoists are females, and...that's it!This book was boring! It took about 5/6 of the book to introduce the boring characters and then the horrible TIE fighter just flew away.
2-0 out of 5 stars About what you'd expect from Kevin J. Anderson.
After the atrocious Jedi academy series, and the downright silly darksabre, you would think that there would be no place to go for Kevin J. Andersons Star Wars books but up.Alas if it were only so.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good but missing something.
While I did like this book there was a glaring ommission as far as I am concerned. Years before writing this book or the other Young Jedi Knight books Mr. Anderson wrote three full length novels telling about the formation of the Jedi Academy. However with a threat to the Academy by an army of dark jedi Luke makes on call for help to the older knights. No Kyp Durron, no Kenth Hammer, no Cilgal. The only two are Luke and Tionne. It is one thing to forget other author's work, but not your own. Shame on you Mr. Anderson. I would have given four stars but because of this it only gets three.

3-0 out of 5 stars Well...
While I gave the first book a good reveiw, by the time this book rolled around, I realized how silly these books are. I know they're for young adults but still...5-0 out of 5 stars excelenant

5-0 out of 5 stars Jedi Quest #9
This was a good book. Palpatine starts dropping hints to Anakin, (which can get very annoying,) Astri Otto comes back in, a few older characters, and some new. The only reason I didn't rate this as a full 5 stars, is I found a typo which drove me insane. If you want to see it, when you reach it, it's on page 104, near the top. Read it carefully, and you'll see it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Who said Jedi don't have a sense of humor?
This is one of my all time favorite books. I've read almost all of the star wars books, but this is the best one yet! Obi-Wan and Siri are friends, who just happen to be Jedi knights, but it dosen't stop them from acting human! This is a funny book, because Siri, who isn't a girly girl is forced to wear a dress, and Obi-Wan is supposed to be a theif! And Obi-Wan let Siri chose his wardrobe, (which turns out to be a BIG mistake!) and Anakain and Ferus somewhat get along! It's a book filled with twists and turns!
