5-0 out of 5 stars Jar Jar is so funny.
Jar Jar is so funny because he slurps up a frog and he splashes it into Sebulba's soup. That made my great-grandmother crack up! She read the whole book with me and she said funny things about the book.I think she was so excited that I could read it by myself, and thought that the book was extremely funny.

3-0 out of 5 stars An average book about a clumsy gungan.
First let me state that I am well over the desired reading age for such books as this, and was only reading it to try to get some insights on the fascinating gungan that is Jar Jar Binks. This book was quite short, andonly had about 10 words per page, so if you are a parent looking to buythis for your children you might ought to think about passing this book upfor one with more than 100 words in it. The only really good thing aboutthis book was that it had some pretty good artwork, but the good parts werebasically limited to that. I read the book to my five year old nephew (andhe loves Star Wars) and he didn't like the book at all. Also, many of thethings that occur in this book were taken from the movie, so you don'treally get any new material. To be honest, I don't know why anyone wouldeven publish this book. They ought to just leave out the story and putpictures in it.

4-0 out of 5 stars I liked the book a lot.
Even though I am almost 11, I loved this because I thought Jar-Jar was funny, and very clumsy. I want to say hi to my mommy, because she might read this. ***Meghan*** ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Star Wars Storybook
This is a terrific children's storybook that came out about the same time or shortly after the original movie was released back in the '70s.Yes, the movie was great, but so is this book.Every page has at least one full-color live-action shot from the movie. Many of the pictures nearly take up the entire page, but there is still room for Geraldine Richelson to retell the classic story in terms a child can understand. If parent's still read bedtime stories to kids, this should be one of them.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must for Collectors young and old.

3-0 out of 5 stars Its all about ANAKIN (audio Casette)
Anakin is about 14 years old here so this story is -27 BNH on the timeline. Of course, the story is all about Anakin. Where Anakin is only 12 in the Rogue Planet mission and still acts more like a child, here he is 14 and wants to exert more influence in the decision-making. Anakin makes his first friend, because they share a love of machines and ships, Tru. The story is dumbed down of course, but not bad. For reasons that are only to enhance the story, the masters leave the Padawan's behind, finding themselves cutoff. With the masters gone, the Padawan's must work together to solve problems. 3-0 out of 5 stars Its all about ANAKIN (audio Casette)

Jedi Quest is yet another spin off series from the galaxy far far away.I am glad to see that Ramdoom House Audio Publishing group has decided to make this new series availablein the audio format.I generally buy all the audiobooks having to do with Star Wars. This first installment in this series is quite good.Four Jedi teams including Obi Won and Aniken are sent to a planet which is being decimatedby a toxic outbreak and its their job tobring calm and help with the evacuation.Aniken is tested here for he has to put is brash tactics aside and work together with the other jedi students.Of course there are inner conflicts and we see the beginnings of Aniken's desteny.I think Jude Watson has captured this aspect of Aniken right on.The story itself is quite good and has plenty of action scenesto keep the listener interested.Jonathan Davis who did a great job in narrating the novel version of Attack of the Clones reads this one as well.He manages quite nicely to give the slue of characters presented here a distinct voice. He is a nice addition to my audio library. The only minor complaint I have with this book is that there were no space battles; but the ground battles made up for it.I am looking forward to listening to Jedi Quest 2 now.In case anyone is interested there are now over 75 audio books in the Star Wars saga which encompass three different time lines.1, the prequel years, 2, post Return of the Jedi, 3, The New Jedi Order; I have found all the books to be top notch in value and listen to them over and over again.I never rgret bying a Star Wars audio book. Its great that Amazon carries the entire line. This book contains two audio cassettes.Along with the narration, this audio book also has music and sound effects which bring the storyto life. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A good book, but not the best
This was a good book, but I didn't like it as much as the other books in the series. For one thing, I wish Uldir would stop being such a brat, can't he see Anakin and Tahiri only want to be his friends?I guess not. However, he does get better as time goes on, so that's a good thing. :) I also don't think that Mage Orloc is a worthy foe for Anakin and Tahiri.Granted, this book is meant for younger children than myself, but even when I read it for the first time at age eleven I didn't find him very intimidating.I mean, these kids have fought the dark lords of the Sith and come out alive, so in my opinion they shouldn't have any problems defeating this wimp. But that's just my opinion. All in all, it was a fun book and I would recamend it to any kid who loves Star Wars.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you love STAR WARS, you'll love this!
I liked this because of the interaction between Tiione and Tahiri. They seem a lot like mother and daughter, which surprised me because Tiione is an instructor--not her mother. It brings out a loving side to these two characters--especially Tahiri.Instead of gushing all over Anakin all thetime, she talks to other people, too. This makes her seem more social.Atfirst, I thought she had a crush on Anakin (that's why she talked so muchto him), but now I think that talking to people that way is her nature. This book brings out Tahiri's social side. And later, her serious side too. . .

5-0 out of 5 stars not as strong as lyric's world
We (7 year old and I) have read the first five parts of this series. Interesting emphasis on psychological development of the main characters, not just a shot-'em-up series.Somewhat spiritualistic in orientation, might upset some conservative types who want to outlaw Halloween, etc.Myson likes part 2 (Ltric's World) the best. Will Uldir come to his senses? ... 4-0 out of 5 stars The gap widens between Obi and Anakin
This was an excellent book for those following the Obi/Anikan rift that just seems to deepen. to me the highlight of this book is when we get to see what happend to Obi-Wan when he fell into that nest of Gundarks that he refers to in Episode II.

1-0 out of 5 stars This book preaches ruthless murder and terrorism!
The hero of the story is Jango, who calls himself a bounty hunter before the admiring eyes of his son, Boba.In reality, however, Jango is no more than a ruthless hired assassin whose only motivation is money. Moreover, by subcontracting an explosives expert to assassinate a Senator, Jango becomes the intellectual author of a terrorist attack. And then he murders his attractive young assistant in cold blood when she is captured and begins to talk! No, I'm sorry, this book has no place on our children's bookshelves. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Star Wars ESB..Collecting knowledge through reading...
Since most reviews are about the item itself I would first like to say that collecting SW merchandise for close to 30 yeras is my top priority. Those of you who also collect will find that for a short but good story book adventure for part V "The Empire Strikes Back", still brings the magic from Sir George Lucas to the small literature side of Sci-Fi adventure for all ages. I am not only saying this because I love the Star Wars Saga, but to be able to see that when kids re-inact the story means that they have read it, processed it and found it fun enough to act it. Those of you growing up in the 70's know what I mean. Now this new generation will never forget the experiance of being able to read a great sci-fi movie and sit back and say !!!WOW!!! this is great and can't wait for the next book to read!! "May The Force Be With Us All"

Empire Strikes Back
4-0 out of 5 stars Everybody use a blue laser sword!
This is a great book for anyone who is a Star Wars fanatic. While there are some differences in character descriptions in this book it is mostly unimportant. You get a much better feeling of what emotions the characters are going through during different scenes. You also get a much better idea of the lessons Yoda puts Luke through, as well as a better feel of time passing during the relationship. The movie always made it seem that a couple days go by, but the book somewhat shows more time passing.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have for any Star Wars: Attack of the Clones fans!
Living in Japan has some disadvantages, one is that movies come out in theaters much later than in America. "Attack of the Clones" came out already in the States on May 13, the movie comes out in the middle of July over here. So I have to make do with looking it up on the Internet and buying the books on "Attack of the Clones". Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a surpsringly thorough intro to the Padawan experience
"I Am A Jedi Apprentice" (by Anakin Skywalker) is the sequel of sorts to "I Am A Jedi" (by Qui-Gon Jinn). Just as Qui-Gon's book explained the ins and outs of being a Jedi Knight, this Anakin book explains what it's like to be a Padawan. While intended for younger readers, the picture book goes through a surprising amount of detail describing field gear, the force, the lightsaber, learning tools, the temple and much more. The large illustrations are extracted from the "Attack of the Clones" film. With an emphasis on Anakin, "I Am A Jedi Apprentice"is a surpsringly thorough introduction to the Padawan experience. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Final chapter in the classic trilogy
Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi (1983.)
5-0 out of 5 stars Steve S. - Miller Place, NY
James Kahn's novel, Star Wars - Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, is a great interpretation of Lucas' screenplay and a closing for the famous Star Wars series. I'm sure any who reads this book, Star Wars fan or not, will enjoy this book. If you are new to the series than I suggest you read the first book in the original trilogy (Episode VI - A New Hope), instead of VI the last one, of course.
