5-0 out of 5 stars Good start to the SVH series

5-0 out of 5 stars I was obsessed!
I loved the Sweet Valley High books when I was in junior high!I remember going to the bookstore about once a month and buying the latest book about Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield and their friends' adventures.I would often read each book in one day. These books bring back a lot of fun memories of my early teen years.I still have a large collection of Sweet Valley High books.I don't know if these stories would appeal to young girls of today, but I do know that many other girls loved these books as much as I did in the '90s!

3-0 out of 5 stars Typical good sister-bad sister book
This book was okay. I kind of wanted to stop reading it after a while, but I had to press on because I had to read it for my book report. Basically Liz Wakefield is the good twin that always does what she is told and always tries to help people and Jessica is the wild twin that doesn't stop her wild escapades until she gets what she wants. When she lands a date with Rick Andover, a drop-out, she thinks she's scored. She ends up getting in trouble and when Caroline Pearce, the school gossip, finds out she spreads it around school, only she believed the twin that got in trouble was Liz Wakefield. Liz has to find a way to get herself out of the mess and also becomes attracted to Todd Wilkins in the process. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Liz. . . .The Tub?
This book was really good. I love Liz, and feel sorry for her now that she is pudgy and
4-0 out of 5 stars A little heavy, but when did Franchine ever fail?
Aaaaaahhh. Frachine knocks off the Wakefields-are-perfect stuff. As Elizabeth puts it,

4-0 out of 5 stars Another great saga
Anyone who has enjoyed reading the popular Sweet Valley series will definitely enjoy this book solely based on the character of the wealthy Bruce Patman. This story explores the lives of his ancestors, both fromthe maternal and paternal sides of the family.I agree that some of thecharacters have short stories about them since there are just a bit toomany characters that the author wants to discuss. These storiesmostlydeal with the topic of romance, but there are several which talk about realhistorical events that took place.A main focus is also how Bruce Patmanbecame so wealthy and ended up living in Sweet Valley.

3-0 out of 5 stars The worst of the three sagas
Tis book follows the stories of Bruce Patman's ancestors, from Lady Sophie to the present day. It was quite good, but a bit confuing trying to get the two sides of the family straight. There were much more characters in this then in the other two- I'd have preferred less characters and more detailedstories. It didn't really inspire me like the other two did- I could readthem over and over again, but this was just wasn't intresting enough. Getthe other two, the fowler's and the wakefield's, read this one if youreally like them but not first or you might be put off.

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite one
This was my favorite saga from the series.I loved hearing about Vanessa Saxton (Emma Elliot) and Katherine Richmond. Some of the parts were predictable, but that is how it was supposed to be! The two sides can't together until the very end, so you have to understand that point to getthe book.I can't wait till a new saga comes out! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great!
I really liked this book! (I've been a SVU fan for a while.) It was really annoying though how Tom and Liz really like each other but it takes them so long to hook-up!!! It's sad about Jess and Mike. Jessica always gets the wrong guys. What's up with that? Anyway this book was great! Everyone should read it. (Well girls anyway)

5-0 out of 5 stars I Still Love It
I had never been a fan of Sweet Valley books until I began reading the University series.I have to say that I loved the Elizabeth and Tom relationship, and this book portrayed the beginning of their romance in a very heartfelt, sentimental manner. It also contains some very good action scenes when Elizabeth gets in trouble with the fraternity she is doing a report on.Once again, Jessica's actions give the book lots of drama. It's been five years since I first read The Love of Her Life, and even though I guess I've "outgrown" these books, I still occasionally pick it up and reread it again. This was probably one of my favorite books of the SVU series (I read it straight through in 5 hours), and unfortunately, after some of the characters from the early stories started disappearing, I stopped reading...but the first books were wonderful, and this is most certainly a good read for anyone who likes drama, and a good old teenage romance.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book rocked!
I LOVED this book. I knew it was William from the very beginning. And Ilove Tom. He and Elizabeth are so much better together then Liz and Todd (Ihate Todd) The thing with Jessica and MIke was also really interesting. AndCeline actually does something good for once. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Really Enjoyed This Book
Well this book kind of moves slow in the begining, but it really starts to pick up. Ken finally woke up and came to his senses, and I was really happy for him at the end of this book. I really hope that Ken and Maria get back together. Melissa is still purley evil, but she kind of gets what is coming to her in this book. Will also came to a realization, and I actually kind of liked him at the end of the book, although what he tried to do to Ken wasn't right, but he kind of makes up for it. I hope that Will sticks to his promise and doesn't go back to that witch of his ex-girlfriend. I liked what Lila said to Melissa in this book. I wonder if Lila is getting sick of Melissa. Not too much about Jessica in this book. I loved the Evan and Jade storyline, that was extremly good, and I can't wait to read more about them. I kind of felt sorry for Liz in this book.

4-0 out of 5 stars it was ok
I thought this book was going to be boring 'cause it seemed, basically, about Will and he's my one of my least favorite characters to read about. And the last two books had been really boring, namely Straight Up.But I actually liked it;it was funny at some parts, endearing in others,ie:Conner's letter to Tia about Liz.Now I really can't wait for Meant To Be. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This book was great!!
Ok Francine Pascal has done it once more. I love most of the books she has written. I think this book was really really good and i liked the parts where Jessica and Jermey were getting in to arguements and then finally in the end they made up and where they made up at and how they met each other there was so cute i thought. Mostly it was about Jade/Father/Mother deal and i think how jade and her mother still get to be together is a big plus! I really hope Jade and Evan think about being a couple.... i think they would be so cute together.I want you to read this book if you havn't yet but there is another series that is also very good and Francine Pascal writes them too. The series is called Fearless and its about a girl born with out a fear gene. If you havn't already started reading that series too because its awesome as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Jades Dad
Jades dad came back in the last book and decided to sue for custody of Jade. He does so but Jades mother and Jade win. Jessica is beging to wonder wether herself and Jeremy are really meant to be. They get into a lot of fights. Like, for istance, Jessica freaks out at Ken for being such a jerk to Maria, one of her good friends. Then Jeremy asks whats wrong and Jessica tells him and he thinks its wrong that she gets into others busniess even if it is one of her very bst friends. Elizabeth isn't really in this book a lot. Will sees Ken and Melissa kissing in the hall and it gives him more determantion to get back to his spot on the football team and make Melissa realize what shes missing.

3-0 out of 5 stars Could have been better
Well this book was o.k. The Jade storyline was interesting, and I really felt bad for her, but I think that the Evan and Jade storyline is a lot more interesting. I can't wait to read more about these two characters. The Jessica and Jermey storyline was frustrating, and in my opinion kind of pointless. In some parts of this book I couldn't help but shake my head as I read about some of the things that Jessica did, I agree with Jeremy, she needs to mind her own business, and I can't believe what she said to Will, especially all he did to her. I seriously hope that the author isn't going towards another Will/Jessica/Jermey storyline again. Ken and Melissa need to wake up, I hope Ken will finally realize what kind of person she is and dump her. Will and Melissa deserve each other, especially after what Will is planning on doing. Not a whole about Elizabeth in this book. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Gay is so great!
Wow, I'm sooooo glad that Francine Pascal finally decided to allow her progressive side to show. Many gay and lesbian teenagers grow up thinking that they are all alone and when I read about Andy, my heart swelled to the size of Canada. I'm not the only one. Also, the book was funny and well written. Go gay!
4-0 out of 5 stars Conner and Liz should get back together hopefully....
In this book, Liz is all stressed out about seeign Conner and talking to him, Jessica has Jeremy back now, Will and Ken becoming friends, Melissa wants to get back together with Will, Jade's with Evan now, Conner coming home from rehab for six weeks, Ken wants Maria back and Andy and Tia to go on a love-tv show to win a trip to New York! And they do!5-0 out of 5 stars Everything turns interesting when Conner comes back
Ok,this is definitely interesting than the rest coz the burning question is "Will Conner ever make up with Elizabeth?"But Alanna is there to spice things up.The Andy and Tia part is also wacky and funny.Ken and Maria are on their way of making up.Basically, almost everyone is ok except for Liz and Conner. Can't wait for the next book! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I loved the Elizabeth and Todd scenes
The parts I loved were the Elizabeth and Todd scenes. I love Todd's character and Elizabeth and Todd's relationship is great. Todd helps her stand up for herself when Jessica is up to another scheme to take advantage of her. This book shows how loving Todd is and how he helps out Elizabeth. Elizabeth is in a dilemma in which she has tio pretend to be her sister. The Elizabeth and Todd scenes were the best parts.

3-0 out of 5 stars ITS SPOUSED TO BE ABOUT JESSICA BUT ITS REALLY NOT!
Its was kinda good but its spoused to be aobut Jessica and her new college boyfriend. But they only have like one chapter about that. The whole book is mostly about Elizebeth. Like what will she do to help out her sister, her and Todd having some problems. This whole book just revloves around Elizebeth not Jessica. I was very disapointed about this book. Next time they should give a descreption about Elizebeth instead of Jessica!!

5-0 out of 5 stars An Older college guy
Jessica[Typical Jessica] goes out with a college guy named Scott. She sneakes off to a college beach party, and has a little beer. She doesn't come home the next morning for school,Elizabeth does both twins, her and Jessica.Jessica arrives in time for Cheerleading practice, and She said that Scott Daniels did make her sick,While Elizabeth[who pretended to be Jessica] said She threw Scott Daniels in the water because he was being a creep in front of all his friends. She made it all up of course.Elizabeth and Todd have a fight then make up again. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Jessica is Mrs.Michael Mcellery
Jessica and Michael McCellrey[sp] are married and Elizabeth keeps it a secret. She invites Tom and Elizabeth over for dinner, but the dinner is ruined,so they order mexican take out from a restaurant. William White is getting awfully close to Elizabeth, but so is Tom Watts, she is his broadcast partner.

4-0 out of 5 stars One of the most intriguing.
Believe me thisbook is great. If you read the previous one then you will love the heartache in this one.Jessica is now officially Mrs. McAllery and her brother does not know.Generally the book showed apicture of Mike bein judged and all while silly old Jessica had to keep her head high above everyone s notion that it will not work.Liz on the other hand is still tryna find out the rascist secret society on campus.Plus there is a deliciously dangerous twist at the end.All in all it is a great book.

4-0 out of 5 stars And the award for the worst wife goes to
Jessica Wakefield (McAllery whatever)! Poor Mike begin stuck married to a witch like that! Why does she never take any resposiblity for her actions? It's pretty obvious that after the big fight in the previous book she only has two choices either to leave him which is obviously hard to do but definately not impossible since Liz gives her that option right at the beginning or she tells her parents and takes her marriage seriously. But oh no she can't do either of them she just goes on lying and scheming to her husband. I don't think the author writes the character of Mike particularly well she obviously expects the reader to hate him but gives them no reason to do so. He's suppose to be a drunk yet through out the whole story line there are only two scene where he is actually drunk. The twist in Mike's character from ealier books is rather unbelievable and obviously just done by the author after she suddenly remebers that Jessica is not suppose to have a boyfriend for too long. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great- Yet Again!
This was great! My favorite part was when jessica and Mike elope in Vegas.I would never do it, but I thought it was good for them.None of her family or friends know yet. Elizabeth and Tom are trying to deny their feelings for each other. Liz is still with William.Liz is trying to find out the leader of the society who attacked Nina and Bryon.Tom is afraid for her safety and doesn't want her to do it.

This book was great! This is one of my favorite Sweet Valley University books. Jessica Wakefield and Michael McAllery get married, but Jessica's too scared to tell anyone. 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Kind of mushy but ..... it is Great
IT is a pretty good book .I am only ten but I think it is too mushy and gushy it is easy to read for me .which is about sixth grade level if you think that death and kissing and all that this is the book for you it talks all about the wakefeild twins history and the same family name falls in this book three times the first time Alice and Theodore wakefeild, amanda and Ted wakefield , and alice, and Ned wakefield. This is the First Sweet Valley book that took memore than an hour to read

5-0 out of 5 stars A Tantalizing Saga about the ancestors of the WakefieldTwins
I can't even begin to describe how good this book is. It's a sweeping saga of love, heartbreak and courage. Even after 7 or so years ago when I bought it I still remember it fondly. This book involves the women on Alice Robertson's side of the family. It shows these beautiful women's courage and strength as it follows them from a boat heading for America where Alice meets the true love of her heart, Theodore Wakefield, to Sweet Valley California. Along the way you experience the heroic spirit of each of the women and their loves and losses. This is no drippy love novel but a novel that is filled with both bright and dark moments as each character faces challenges and love lost and found. 3-0 out of 5 stars Sniffly, fluffy brain candy
Older readers will have to ignore the saccharine sweetness of this book and the incredibly huge number of coincidences, but The Wakefields of Sweet Valley is a light read that makes you happy that it all worked out in the end.The story of Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield's maternal line starts with their great-great-great-grandmother Alice Larson, who on her journey from Sweden met a man named Theodore Wakefield (who is, of course, their great-great-great grandfather on their father's side).Every other generation meets up with the Wakefield generation, but somehow loses him until their mother marries Ned Wakefield.Read more

This book involves classic moments like when Jessica won Ms. Teen Sweet Valley, her inclusion of the Good Friends' Cult and others. Mostly it covers up Elizabeth's involvement with Sam Woodruff behind Todd Wilkins' back. One would know how important is to make a decision and how it affects other people around you.It is amusing to note when Elizabeth subbed Jessica in a tv show guesting as well as in the swimsuit competition of Ms. Teen Sweet Valley. This only goes to show the strong bond of the twins despite of their differences. For me this is an OK book... so if you want to buy this book, I think it's worth it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Straight Up
I love the SVSY books! At first this book didn't interest me, but then I really got into it. Here it goes.. It's time for the Lydia G. Senate Scholarship competition! Maria Slater, Melissa Fox, Tia Ramirez, and 2 others all got nominated. Both Ken Matthews & Elizabeth Wakefield got nominated to be the Student Judges. Ever since Ken started dating Melissa, there's been a lot of tension between them and Maria, but who will Ken choose? Elizabeth also has a problem; she's been wanting the scholarship for over 2 years! But she's got to make a decision.. who is Elizabeth going to vote for? And even though Tia & Maria have become good friends this year, the competition gets intense when they fight for the scholarship that could change their future. And possibly even their friendship.

5-0 out of 5 stars I think this is a pretty good book!
I think this book is really good! I thought some parts were boring me but not to death. It's about the Lydia G. Senate Scholarship. Tia, Melissa, Maria and 2 other girls are nominated. Liz is stuck and so is Ken. Liz can't choose either Tia and Maria while Ken is trying to vote for Melissa and Maria. I think Tia had a point in the back of the book about the test of friendship. It sort of reminded me about my freinds. I wouldn't spoil who won the scholarship but read it! :)

3-0 out of 5 stars It's Okay, not as good as the rest
Thisbook was okay, it was a good change of pace, some of the stuff in this series was getting old, like the whole Conner-Liz thing. But I do miss reading about Conner, I hope he comes back to the books, things just aren't the same without him, maybe that is why I didn't find the book that good. There was some good parts in the book like Jade and her dad, the next book is gonna be good. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
I loved this book... I just wish there had been MORE about Ken and Maria in it since most of it was about the Liz/Connner/Alana thing.Conner finally chooses between Liz and Alana... and I think he made the WRONG choice. But you can judge for yourself. Will starts wondering what he should do after college and I like his choose... because he can still be around football. Ken and Maria finally get back together... with Ken doing some stupid things tryign to get her back.. but its SO sweet how he does. This is a GREAT book and every SVSY fan should read it!

liz has a horrible expirience in college. we all know what happens but then liz has a horrible weight gain!

3-0 out of 5 stars Liz & Todd....did they have to break up?
First of all, I really liked this book. It was very emotional and reminded me of the changes I've gone through in the past few years since entering college. Elizabeth went through hell through the arms of abandonment. I felt really sorry for her, considering she is my favorite SV character. The only thing about this book that turned me off is Liz & Todd's breakup. I think they are the cutest couple, and they've been together forever. They are soul mates. I just wish Liz and Todd never broke up...I don't really like Tom Watts; Liz deserves someone much better than him. I hope Todd & Liz get back together later in the series. "Elizabeth & Todd Forever" is a very touching book as well...it just proves they are soul mates.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Story!!!
I was really attracted to the Fowlers of Sweet Valley because I was always curious about Lila Fowler, such as where was her mother and why did she leave her and this book really helped me get an intimate look at Lila's identity. I could see Lila's personality in the characters-for example, her selfishness in Emily De Bocage, her strong willed independence in Rose de Bocage, her stubborn pride in Charles Doret, her inner strength in Lili de Beautemps, and her gentle spirit in Celeste Chardin.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book....Did anyone notice.............
