5-0 out of 5 stars Seems Like So Long Ago.........
That I used to read this series. I'm 24 now. I remember reading this series long into the night, by the light of a flashlight. I LOVE THIS SERIES! I don't ride much anymore, I've been long disinterested but when I did, I loved these books. Any horse crazy 9-12 year old would love them.

5-0 out of 5 stars I'm crazy for Horse Crazy by Alex Z
I love this book.Stevie and her friends go to their riding school "Pine Hollow".Stevie does not have enough money to go on an overnight trail ride.Doing odd jobs, she gets enough money to go on the ride. Problems occur again when Stevie and her friends go to an electronic store.Stevie enters a contest and wins a cassette player. All of her saved money is spent on new cassettes; she has none left for her ride. Her parents offer to pay for the ride if Stevie improves her school grades.A great math project saves the day.

2-0 out of 5 stars very unrealistic
Not the premise that it's hard to say goodbye to a horse you love to the point where you may temporarily stop riding because it hurts so much. No, it's just that the horse in question is a STALLION. For a junior exhibitor. For one thing, riders who are under a certain age cannot compete on stallions (at least in most classes), so I guess Veronica had to be content with never showinig Cobalt. Also, she was scared of him and did not ride him well, so it is a surprise she did not get badly hurt earlier. Why, why, why, are stallions always the mount of choice for children and teens in books? Mares and geldings are just as capable of generating mystery and intrigue.
1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible
I really don't like these books. They're more about people relationships compared to horses. They're some of the worst horse books I've ever read. "Thoroughbred" books and the "Ashleigh" series are way better. I bought some "Saddle Club" books before I didn't know about them, I've given them all away. Stay away from these books!

5-0 out of 5 stars Exciting tale, good story!
This book was fun to read on the continuing adventures of Carole, Lisa, and Stevie. The Mountain Trail Overnight was almost ruined by the whims of nasty Veronica diAngelo, and how Carole's beloved horse Cobalt is killed by his owner, Veronica. The story does a good job of setting an example of how to rebound when your favorite horse dies. Excellent read. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars horse show
The Saddle Club: Stevie, Lisa and Carole get the opportunity to visit New York City and watch a former rider of their trainer's compete in the American Horse Show. Unfortunately, she is injured in a severe accident. The girls are also secretly teaching fictional teen hearthrob and actor Skye Ransom how to
4-0 out of 5 stars American Horse Show!
I loved this book because it took place at the American Horse Show in New York! Lisa, Stevie, and Carole all go to New York to see Dorothy DeSoto, a famous rider and their treacher Max's ex-student compete. The girl are all going backstage to see what really goes on at a big horse show like this. They also get to go riding at Central Park and met Skye Ramsom, a teen actor! Now the girl have to help Skye with his big movie, City Cowboy. He has to ride a horse but he's terrified. Can they teach him how to ride before he has to perform infront of millions of people? And will Dorothy win at the American Horse Show? Find out now!

5-0 out of 5 stars Full of Magic
This book was great. It is full of fun spirit and thinking. There is one sad part about the future of a rider though. The book seems so full of fun and magic for the three Saddle Club girls and they are very creative with a plan they have for Skye.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars english horse
The Saddle Club's English friend Tessa comes to stay and gets to participate in the point-to-point race the stable is holding. Problem is, the club is on probation with Max and therefore can't retaliate when Veronica gets up to her usual tricks. Luckily, they find a creative way to give Veronica her come uppance anyway.
5-0 out of 5 stars Bully!
Great Book or as the british say Bully! I really like this bookalot a verconica is finally getting what she deserves! She thinks shecan be so sneaky and try to ruin the saddle clubs friendship with their friend Lady Theresa but her plan back fires when the other girls find out whats really going on!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love it!
Before I go on about how good this book is,I wound like to point out something: Tessa never SNUBBED Veronica. She was courtious and gracious the whole way, even when it wasn't necessary. I am amused by Mrs Bryant'schoices of horse and rider and the new horses of whom we only know one. Imust say that the ending was particularly good.Although I can't believethat everyone would listen to Veronica. All in all a great addition to thesaddle club. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 100th book
This book was a good ending i think and it was sort of sad though.Lisa was so sure about PJ being the horse she wanted when he was taken away from her so fast! you can kinda of sense the end of the saddleclub while u read, but i also enjoy Pine Hollow, even though its mostly romance stuff. This is a good and really emotional book and it does leave u hanging and wondering if the end is near! buy it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow
I havn't read Stray Horse yet, but it looks REALLY good! Although, i really hope that this isn't the last book in the series, becasue the Saddle Club is just TO GOOD to end. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON"T END THE SADDLE CLUB! 5-0 out of 5 stars Will things ever be the same again?
What a moving book. Lisa's parents have just dropped a big bomb on her. Her parents are getting a divorce and she does not know how to deal with it very well. So she starts spending a lot of time at the local animal shelter where she becomes attached to a stray horse She names PJ and you'll just have to read the book to find out why she named him that. Stevie and Carole are doing the best they can to be supportive of their friend in her time of need. Can they help lisa come to terms with her Parnets divorce and the sudden arrival of Pj's Orginal owner? Just read this book and you will learn all the anwers. This book Really helps to Tie into the first book of the Pine hollow Series Called the Long Road Home. Be sure to read this one!!!! IT had me tears! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars unrealistic--Bonnie's done better
Blegh, Bonnie has done better--that's for sure. At first I thought it was good, but after Stewball and Lisa fall off a cliff, and actually land on their feet--now that's unrealistic! And Bonnie did a mistake. The Rocky Mountain fever, which is what Carole and Kate catch, is caught by a tick bite. Now, living out in the country, I have PLENTY of experience with tick bites. Lisa recalls seeing Carole and Kate itching alot. And you DO NOT itch from a tick bite. It's flea bites that you itch with.
5-0 out of 5 stars Lisa Has To Ride for her life
I loved this book because it had so much action. The Saddle CLub was invited to the Bar None ranch for a holiday. But when they find out that Stevie is not able to come they have to go on with out her. But when Kate gets sick and is not able to go with them to a medior shower with them they go with out her. The Carole gets the same sickness and Lisa has to find her way back to the Bar None for help. She gets caughtby robers and she has to go over a cliff to find her way back. Stevie is at her hated cozins wedding but meets a boy who has two sweet horses. But when she gets back her cozien sees that she has been riding she finds out where she has been and get angrey. But she was out walking in a thunder strom and finds one of her friends horse hurt. But then she had the owner call the vet. And Lisa is able to help Carole. This is a 100 star book if i could give it that many stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lisa's in for the ride of her life...
The Saddle Club gets invited to The Bar None to see their friends Kate and Christine. But their joy is soon deflated when they find that Stevie has to go to her hated cousin's wedding. Uck! Lisa and Carole go, though, and they visit an archeology site. Then Kate falls seriously ill, and they go and watch the meteor shower without her. It seems fun, is what they think. But then Carole catches the same disese as Kate. Lisa has to fight her way around theives to save she and Carole's lives.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars fun read
In this book, Stevie goes to visit her equally horse-crazy and less mischievous friend Dinah in Vermont. They and a friend attempt to "tap" the most trees in a contest the trainer of Dinah's stable has set up. The winners get first pick of their horses for lessons next summer. Unfortunately, their fun is marred when Dinah and Stevie are unwittingly sent on a dangerous trail ride, and the girls must conceal the injuries Dinah sustains from a fall or risk Dinah losing her riding privileges. But when their secret threatens to put more riders at risk, they must decide whether to break it.
4-0 out of 5 stars This Is More Like It! Racehorses!
I am a huge racing enthusist and jump at the chance to start getting into depth about the sport. The only thing that surprised me was the fact that the saddle club knew so little about racehorses. But coming from me, who's been learning everything I possibly can about horse racing since last summer doesn't come as a surprise. Sometimes when I was reading the book, I wished I was the fourth member of the saddle club and could tell them so much more than what the author made them learn. That was just the very very very basic things. There is so much else to learn to get into this fascinating and age-old sport.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best book there is!!!!!!!!
When i first read this book i immediadatly tried to find it to buy but i couldnt and im still looking for someone to buy it from. My favorite part of the book was when Prancer came to Pine Hollow. I also liked how carol gets to help judy. which is like im doing. The book is sad though when Prancer injures her foot in the race but keeps tryin to finish it .It is neat how the Saddle Club is thinking of places to send her to and then Max buys her. I HOPE my review was helpful... ... Read more

I would I would recamined this to ant person who wants a gooh laugh and loves horses.

3-0 out of 5 stars okay I guess
I found it hard to believe (even though it is just a story) that Stevie would get along with Veronica plus the part about her dog was totally rash I mean talk about mood swing

5-0 out of 5 stars Sure, the cover's dumb, but it's a GREAT BOOK!
A lot of people have said that ever since Sidesaddle, Bonnie's books have gone DOWNHILL! Well, huh, I have one thing to say to them; I totally-well-WHAT PLANET DID YOU COME FROM!Nobody even pay attention tothem! I had to find out for myself if they were right, so I bought thisbook. I opened it thinking it was going to be the worst book ever. I readit straight through. I found myself forgetting that the cover was differenttoo. I hate the covers, though! I wish they'd bring the old ones back-butthat's no reason not to appreciate a great story! Buy this book; find out 4yourself! Bonnie's got as much heart in her stories as ever! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Listening to your horse
This book was exciting and it also was catching. Personally I thought that the way it was written made readers to keep reading and never want to stop. It taught a lesson...a very good lesson and if you haven't read this book it's great. Expecially if you have a horse because I bet once you read this all that will be on your mind is your horses health!

3-0 out of 5 stars It wasn't the best..........
This book had a kind of boring plot and was a little dull, it was slightly funny in certain parts. I can't say I liked it though, and I regret buying it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not Very Good
I didn't really like this book, I thought it was weird and boring. I think Saddle Club books are too mushy and don't contain enough about horses. If you're really looking for some great horse books, then I'd recommend Thoroughbred and Ashleigh books. They're more about racing though, and don't contain too much jumping info. But Thoroughbred books are guarenteed to make you stay up all night where as Saddle Club books are guarenteed to never make you want to read again. I would not recommend this book or any other Saddle Club books, but don't let me stop you. If you buy this book in my opinion you're wasting your money.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Secret of the Stallion
I liked this book a lot. It is about three girls who are best friends that are going to England for a horse show. With them went their instructor and their worst enemy. In England they meet their friend Nigel and some unexpected guests. Nigel is riding a beautiful stallion for a very cruel person. They soon find out about a king whose horse would only let him ride him. The king hid a treasure underneath the horse. The treasure has never been found, but can only be found by a rider with "fire in his heart." This book was very exiting and had me wanting to keep reading 4-0 out of 5 stars The Secret of the Stallion

5-0 out of 5 stars ONE of the few good SC books.
One of the few good SADDLE CLUB books out there. When Lisa and her mother go to see a rather fancy family, Lisa is bored to death with their daughter. Even more disgusting, she has to listen to the mother and daughter talk about how fancy the horses and riders are. She ends up riding an old gray mare, Tiny, who turns out to be sweet. Then she injures her foot after the girl leaves her and her only hope is Tiny. This book is inspiring, exciting, actionpacked, beautiful, and funny all at the same time. I reccomend it to any Saddle Club fan and it will never stay on a bookshelf for long.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!
Lisa and her family go and visit a friend of Lisa's mother. Marguerite, her mother's friend's daughter rides too. When she and Lisa ride together, Marguerite puts Lisa on an old mare, Tiny. When they split up and starts to rain, and Lisa falls off Tiny and gets injured, Tiny takes care of her. I thought that was amazing! Finally the Saddle Club arrives and helps her, and she is fine.

5-0 out of 5 stars I luved it!!!
Horse Care is a really good book.It demonstrates a lot that Lisa has feelings toward her mother pushing her around and it really affects her-not that she would tell her mom that! Though, I wish that it was more realistic that a horse would actually take care of you and let you lean on them when you were hurt in the freezing cold rain after being spooked. Not that my horse is selfish-he loves me (i hope!), but I just can't see him or any other horse I know lying down right next to a human in less than ideal conditions. Also, I really don't think that 12 year-olds (in reality) practice pirouettes in riding class. That's way too advanced for anyone that age!Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Skye is Back!
Let me start by saying that the publisher was an idiot when it put the Saddle Club books into paperback with photograph covers. If I had not read the back of this book I would have never been interested in it. I'm glad that I did though because this is an excellent book!

2-0 out of 5 stars horse sense
While Stevie prepares games for an upcoming gymkana, Lisa develops a constitution for the Saddlel Club, and Carole prepares the stable mare Delilah for her upcoming birth. The girls get so caught up in their own projects that they forget to stick together. It takes the birth of the foal to show the girls they're better off when they pull together.
5-0 out of 5 stars Tense, Exciting, deciveing...
I can't believe how this book was so exciting! I couldn't also believe it when Lisa is not seeing that the french girl is lying to her. A young white horse??? I'm glad Stevie and Carole got to Lisa first. It Was VERY funny when Stevie was trying to invent the gymkhana games on her own. it was exciting to see Delilah foal and how Carole learned alot on horse care when foaling time comes around. Bryant does a great job of keeping the reader hanging on in this book.

4-0 out of 5 stars This is one important book
Over all this book was a tipical book of the Saddle Club. I was very surpised at how all of the members acted in the book! There are a few surprises and all the girls of the saddle club are all focussed on there own thing and it seems like they don't have time for eachother! Majorly important things happen in this book so if you are interested about reading a lot of the books from this series this is a must have! ... Read more

The Saddlle Club is heading out for a wagon trail with Debrah. They all think it is to be fun. Then they discover all the work they have to do. Stevie has to wear a dress,Liasa has to walk a lazy cow, and Carole ends upgiving mini riding lessons. Could the wagon trip not be as fun as theythought it would be?

4-0 out of 5 stars horse power
The Saddle Club is busy preparing for the upcoming gymkhana, in which they will play horse games and compete against other teams for a prize. The girls discover that Kate, Carole's new friend, was once a championship rider, but gave it up due to no longer enjoying competition. Can they persuade her to join their team and recapture the joy of horses?

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Book!
I still can't see how Stevie's brother Chad can fall in love with Lisa! Sure, Lisa does have a great relationship with John Brightstar later in the series and she is a bit of a romantic, but John's a horse guy! she also found it funny though too. Kate Devine is cool, and I love the ranch she opens up. And it was amazing how she saved the saddle club's gymkhana team! another great saddle club book!

5-0 out of 5 stars Cad Falling in Love with a horse crazy gurl?
In this story Chad falls for one of the members of the Saddle Club. This book is very fun and it will make you want to keep reading. This is also When the Saddle Club meets a very important person that will be one of the man characters through out the whole series. So if you haven't read this book, I think you should! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A nice break!
I thought this book was a great idea! The SAaddle Club is tired of riding and the funny thing is when I get to this book in my series I need a break too because I get kinda sick about reading about horses horses horses and then this book makes me realize how much I miss reading about horses horses horses. The book is not boring at all. Just because the girls aren't with horses doesn't mean they are just sitting around. Each girl in busy and this book will keep you busy!

5-0 out of 5 stars A nice break!
This book is totally different from every other Saddle Club Book I have read! It is a fun and interesting story and there are a few twists and turns and that is always fun and also one of the best things about the book was once I got to this book in my collection I wanted a break from horses horses horses! I thought that was neat! It's funny interesting and different! This is a great book and I am sure you will love it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Answers to the Dressage person
Well, first of all, the piaffes.Horses that have benn trained to do a piaffe can, and it IS realistic. And IT'S A FICTION BOOK!Carole should not of gotten a dressage horse, because she's into jumping.Stevie is the one into Dressage and she has a dressage horse. Also, WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH THAT BOOK!Well, I think if you're like me, you'll like the book, but t won't be the best book you've ever read.Tired of horses? But everything else was good.I especially like how Bonnie matched up the tasks with the characters. ...
