5-0 out of 5 stars These got me started on the fantasy genre,
This was my first fantasy-esque series. Now I am trying to get my little sister to read them, in a hope that she will not read those stupid books about spoiled teens later, like so many classmates of mine do. These are great books for unwilling readers.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Son LOVES this series, best since we found the Magic Treehouse..
My Son is a voracious reader when you find books he loves. He fell in love with Magic Treehouse and read all 34 books and started reading them a second time.Unfortunately it's very difficult to find interesting books and I spend lots of time researching the best books for him.
5-0 out of 5 stars I remeber my first 1 still by jordan
I was about 8 or 9 when I walked into a book store with my mother and I was looking for the fourth or fifth Harry Potter book. What I didn't know was that I'd have to wait 3 more years for it or 2. Now I'm 12. Anyway I ask where's the Rest of the Harry Potter series and she reccomended these because I had nothing left to read. My mom buys them for me and I finished them in a day. It was a fun and short read and I liked the illustration. Good book for young children. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth your time
This book is uninspired pap with undifferentiated characters and poor plotting involving deus ex machina. It intends to be humorous but isn't.I recommend Deltora Quest instead.

4-0 out of 5 stars Elf King Review
I read the Tower of the Elf King by Tony Abbott. I would rate the book a four. I liked that the book went into a different worlds. The book was interesting because there were weird creatures that you could only imagine. The book made you look at life in a diffrent way. I would recommend the book to everyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite Droon book so far!
Eric, Julie and Neal all dreamed about very weird things, which could only be from one place, Droon. Droon was the magical world they had found, and the secret entrancehappened to be in Eric's basement! When they get there, there's a rumor flying around that someone's robbed the Lumpie's village!Eric, Julie, Neal and Princess Keeah must find the culprit, but do they? This book was absolutely spectacular! Read the TOWER of the ELF KING! ... Read more

I love The Secrets of Droon.
5-0 out of 5 stars The evil Skorth
This book was great but it would be scary for little kids. I recommend this book for kids 5-12. In every Droon book, Eric, Neal, and Julie visit the land of Droon. In this book, evil Lord Sparr puts Princess Keeah in a trance. The kids have to go to the Land of the Lost to save Keeah and keep Sparr from the Golden Wasp. Sparr wants to use the Wasp to take over Droon. The Land of the Lost is home of Droon's good dead heroes. Sparr takes Keeah out of the trance but puts her in a maze. The kids get her out. From a box, Sparr unleashes the evil Skorth. The evil Skorth are the evil Droon dead. There is a big battle. The Droon heroes win but Sparr gets the Wasp. I recommend this story because it is exciting.

3-0 out of 5 stars An Underwater Story
This book takes place in a magical land called Droon. The three friends, Eric, Julie and Neal are on their 12th adventure in Droon, seeking Demether, the underwater queen of the ocean. She has a red jewel she stole from Lord Spar, called the red eye of dawn. This jewel has a spirit in it which is making her yellow. This book has inspired me, and I would think many other people, to make up their own stories, to think about their own adventures in other worlds. I did not think this book was the best book I had ever read, because it really did not have that much action.

5-0 out of 5 stars Droon is back again!
This was the best of all the Droon books. It reveals all the secrets of Droon. And the main character (the seawitch Demeteier) is a woman.I've been reading Droon books since I was 6 years old.And they get better every time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great installment in SUPER series for kids!!!
My son (now 5) and I were pleased (and relieved, and ecstatic) to finally have the opportunity to read (and thoroughly enjoy) the most recent installment in Tony Abbott's wonderful fantasy series, the Secrets of Droon.Granted, we've now read all twelve, and we've found they continue to improve (in addition to getting longer, which also makes it seem like you're getting more for your money). Here, the cast of characters remains basically the same, with the action and heroics evenly shared by the girls (intrepid Julie and the junior wizard, princess Keeah) and the boys (thoughtful Eric and the ever-hungry, but frequently unlucky, Neal). In "Under the Serpent Sea," we again confront the fearsome sea witch Demither and unlock further secrets of the elusive, shape-shifting Queen Relna. The young protagnists, as always, benefit from the faithful guardianship and mentoring of the the Wizard Gaelen. If all of this sounds daunting, then don't hesitate to start at the beginning of the series, because the author constantly rewards readers as the books progress.Over the last few years, all of our friends' kids (from 5 to 12, boys and girls) have also become hooked on Droon. So what are you waiting for?Open the basement door, and head on down the hidden staircase.... ... 4-0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite
This book is really good because when Eric, Julie and Neil went to Droon, there was a Dream Thief. This thief (whose name I won't tell you) wanted to take over all of Droon just for a nice oven to bake his pies that turn you into a goblin.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Secres of JroonDream Theif
I like Dream Theif because it is wild, magical, and fun. It also has grate magical words in it. I would never not like Dream Theif. I never could say that there was a part I didn't like. My favorite part personly was when Neal said that once he woke up with a penut butter sandwich. The reason I read this book is because I liked the creative pictures and words on the back.C.H.

3-0 out of 5 stars Mysterious Island is a pretty good book.
Mysterious Island was a pretty good book. We liked the wizardry in it. We thought the title the Icky Bugs was quite funny. One great character was Princess Keeah because she was magical. We liked the magical rainbow stairs because they sounded so pretty. Galen Longbeard was another favorite. Lord Sparr was a great evil villain! We liked Neal. Maw was a cool spider troll. Most of us were surprised when he spun his trap. You must read this book. We think 8-25 year olds would like this book. This book would be enjoyed by people who like Magic Treehouse books. It is sort of like Lord of the Rings.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great series of books

5-0 out of 5 stars Moon Scroll
I read The Moon Scroll. I thought it was a great book because it was scary funny, full of magic and it has lots of adventure. I recommend it for kids who love adventure. I also recommend it for kids ages eight to ten .I think this book is a blast. I think everyone who likes Harry Potter would like this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my favorites so far
Lord Sparr has finally done it. He finally collected the Three Powers of Droon, the Coiled Viper, the Red Eye of Dawn, and the Golden Wasp. Droon could not be in a worse situation. With the Three Powers, Lord Sparr is headed toward the Isle of Mists, a strange eerie island where he is trying to do a magic trick which will spell doom for all of Droon. Not to mention the fact that Sparr's evil stepfather Emperor Ko, who disappeared on the Isle of Mists, could still be alive and well on this island. This spells big trouble for Eric and the gang. Can they somehow outmuster Lord Sparr and save Droon?
5-0 out of 5 stars Great step up...
This series is a great step up from the Magic Treehouse series. I'd have to rate any book a "5" that engages my 2 boys. This series has fostered a true love of reading in my children. They anxiously have awaited each new release-starting grade two....and the oldest is now a 4th grader who still enjoys each of Tony Abbott's Droon series books as they become avail. It's been tougher to find books my boys loved vs my daughter. But Abbott's series is a definate winner with the boys in our house!
4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good
The whole series i think was pretty good. It was kind of a copy of Harry Potter though. the v shape scarr on sparrs head like the lightning bolt shape scarr on harry's head. and how eric has to wear glasses that look just like harry's and his hair is the same color and there are three friends. 2 boys and 1 girl. But harry potter is a copy itself though so i guess its okay. If you wondering what its a copy of its a copy of Larry Potter. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A great freezing story
The story begins when Eric, Julie, and Neal are in art class. New kinds of sparks come out of Eric's fingers. They are silver. They go to Droon and meet Keeah. Keeah tells them about an evil monster named Krog. The knights of the silver snow are with Keeah. One of the knights, Rolf, goes with the kids to the ice caves of Krog to stop Krog from destroying Droon cities. They meet the Ice Man. Neal says something mean and the Ice Man asks him three questions. He gets the first two right but the last one is math and he gets it wrong. This gets the Ice Man angry and Rolf and the Ice Man fall into a giant crack. The kids and Keeah go on without Rolf. The kids see an ice palace. They go in and they find magic food. The food makes them go to sleep. Before Eric goes to sleep he shoots the ceiling with the sparks from his fingers and snow falls in the palace. The snow wakes everybody up and they find the Ice Caves of Krog. Krog defeats everybody but Eric. Krog tells Eric he has two weaknesses. Read the book to find out what his weaknesses are and the true story of Krog! This was a great book.

5-0 out of 5 stars a great thriller
