Good
This book is good and shows Franklin always wanting his way. Soon his friends get tired of his bossy behavior. Franklin learns that being bossy isn't the way friends should act.

Franklin Is Bossy
Franklin Is Bossy in this book. He always wants to do what he wants to do.He won't let his friends pick the game... whether its baseball, marbles, racing, or just swimming.Every time Franklin starts losing he decides to change the game.He gets into a fight with bear and he goes home and plays with himself but gets bored.So he decides to go see if his friends are still mad at him.They are not they had forgiven him.Until he starts telling his friends where to play when they are playing baseball so they all leave.He goes home and helps his father all day because all his friends are mad at him.I think it is a very good book for younger kids because they have to learn to share and they will not always get everything they want.But it also points out that you can't be mad at your friends forever because at the end of the book Franklin and Bear make up.

Mr. Bossy
Franklin is Mr. bossy in this book. He doesn't let his friends give their opinion on what they want to do. Franklin always pickw want they are going to do or play. Franklin and Bear get into a agrument over whether it's too hot to play baseball or not. Franklin stomps off. Then Franklin finds out playing by himself is no fun at all. Franklin decides to go apologize to Bear, but before he can he mets Bear on the way. It shows the kids that if you are too bossy no one will want to play with you. They will always be there when you realize that you were to bossy and want to be friends again. ... Read more

My little one has a blanket
My three year old son loves this book.We read it everynight and he is able to feel what Franklin is feeling, which is great.This is one book that keeps his attention. The first time he saw this book he screamed indelight about Frankiln having a blanket just like his.This is such a nicebook for all who have a blanket or for parents who had blankets.

Secret Club

They Needed to Stick Together
Franklin and his friends go out to play and Franklin is told not to go into the woods.His friends play hide and seek and he knows the usual places each of his friends hide, but he believes that the foxis going to try to fool him and go into the woods.So, Franklin forgets what he was told about not going into the woods and he thinks fox is going to trick him and hide in the woods.Not thinking the others would go home without him, Franklin goes into the woods and gets lost. At six o'clock they were all to go home, so the others thought Franklin must have started home, because they knew he was not to go into the woods. They all went home as they were told to do and Franklin was left behind, lost in the woods and it started to get dark.Luckily his parents came and figured out what happened after speaking to all of his friends and found a very frightened Franklin, who went home, ate and went to bed, knowing to follow the rules, and his parents were very happy to have found their son safe but very frightened and alone in the woods.Mrs. Symmington

Pay Attention Where Your Going Even When Playing
My preschool daughter loves this book on how Franklin inadvertently gets lost while playing hide and seek.All ends well when Franklin is found by his parents.One cautionary note - the TV show version is different than the book.In the TV show Fox is lost along with Franklin.In the book, Franklin gets lost looking for Fox.My daughter noticed this right away.Regardless, its a very rewarding story.

The Little Guy Loves it!
He's three now, and he wants me to read it to him every night before he goes to sleep. It's a very nice little story about how a blue turtle gains friends and becomes happy because he is a good turtle on the inside, no matter how he looks on the outside. Hooray for Little Turtle!
It's funny that I read here the recommended age group for this book is 4-8. My 23 mo. old son just adores this book. I came across it at the library. He is mesmerized by it. He eyes become wide & he almost holds his breath when the seagull swoops down on the turtle. Then, on the last page when the turtle is finally swimming in the sea, you'd think he was the one who finally made it to the sea! He turns and looks at me w/a huge smile on his face, so incredibly happy for that turtle!

2-year old approved
We make weekly trips to the library and each night read 2-3 books to my 2-year old son.This is his favorite book.It's helping him learn his ABC's in a fun way.We've checked out the book enough times that I've decided it is time to buy it for our home collection.

terrific activity book for older preschoolers

Franklin's New Friend
This is a very good book. I love the Franklin books. This book was about a moose that moved in and no one wanted to be friends with him because he was so big.
