5-0 out of 5 stars Lost TV Episode Gets New Chance as a Book
I was quite pleased when I learned that this book was going to be available. This is a novelization of one of the lost fifth season episodes of the "Franklin" television series. This is one of many stories that viewers never got to see due to the cancellation of the program after the fourth season. Overall the story itself is fairly decent. Franklin is tired of having to go bed so early all the time and so he convinces his Mom to allow him to invite his friends for a "stay-up over." However, his plans start to fail when all of his friends want to get some sleep, but he keeps trying to find ways to keep them awake. Those who miss the television show will probably be pleased with this novelization, as there's a good chance this story may never make it to video. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Little Book For Franklin Fans
Any board book with lift flaps is a hit with my daughter, but this book is truly adorable. It is written in the way Franklin, his friends and family actually talk on the cartoon. And the story is sweet. This is a little book, great for little hands, and it is fun for little ones to lift the flaps to see how the story progresses. This story teaches about different animals also.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for little hands!
I was excited to find a Franklin book in a board book.My nephew is a big fan, but only one, so it's great to have found a board book. The story is really cute.Franklin wants a pet because he only has a fake one.Hetakes suggestions from friends and family, but finally makes the decisionhimself. The book included most of Franklin's closest buddies, which thelittle fans will love. Each flap added to the suspense of which friendhe's going to ask, and what pet they would suggest. It was fun making allof the animal noises as we read each new suggestion.I'm glad Franklinmade his own mind up in the end!Very cute! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful story!
My middle son (then 4)loved this book while waiting for his own baby sister to arrive. The secondary storyline about Franklin worrying over his bean sprout is so sweet.5-0 out of 5 stars When the baby due?
Franklin is impatient for his baby sister to arrive. He feels left out. Just like most kids do when there is a new arrival. He keeps trying to get spring to come so his mom can have the baby. The is so true to want most kids go through when they are waiting for their new baby to come. They get put on the back burner while everyone is focusing on the new arrival.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great story of friendship
My daughter loved this story as did I as the emphasis on Valentine's Day was about friendship and taking a day and celebrating friendships. As Franklin lost all of his Valentine's in the mud and didn't have any for hisfriends, he couldn't believe they still wanted to give him their cards andletters. He realized that friends like you for who you are and not whatyou can give them.As a parent, if feel this is one lesson that your kidscan't learn too often.

5-0 out of 5 stars You've gotta love the gentle Franklin.
Here's Franklin with his friends in FRANKLIN GOES TO DAY CAMP. It's an excellent way to introduce kids to the idea of day camp and to the concept of journaling. There are word games and puzzles, a maze, and a board game, all surrounded by beautiful, bright illustrations. It's also good for a child who's sick or stuck indoors on a rainy day. I suggest using a pencil on the puzzles so you can erase and do them again. Or cover the page with plastic and write on that. The affordable book works on several levels: story, journal, games.

5-0 out of 5 stars Follow the Moon Book and CD
This is a wonderful story- so many children i have shared it with have asked to hear it again and again.I have found this book to be a lovely way to metaphor more difficult times and choices in ones adult life.such as keeping your focus on the true light (Jesus/God) and not being distracted.I have recommended it to many. The CD is beautiful- altho the singer's voice is a little strange at the beginning you will find yourself thinking no one else could have done it justice at the end.enjoy and share it with many.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kids love this story when I read it to them!
I found this book at the Natural History Museum (Smithsonian) in Washington, D.C. I first noticed the hadsome boy on the cover and then decided to see what the story was about. It is an excellent story about a kid who cares about animals and nature. It is a cute story of the boy protecting a baby turtle from harm. He is a good protector of this turtle until it finds safety by "following the moon". I read this story to the children in my YMCA school program and they loved every moment. It definately kept their attention.

Bear trusts Franklin not to tell about his secret, but Franklin breaks his promise. Bear gets angry and wants nothing to do with Franklin. Finally Bear agrees to listen to Franklin who apologizes. Turtles Try to Trick Tooth Fairy
4-0 out of 5 stars Franklin and the Tooth Fairy
Well, personally I really enjoyed this book. I liked how it expressed you don't have to be the exact same as everyone else in this world. Even being a little different from someone else changes everything. In the beginning of the story. Franklin and his friend Bear, were eating their lunch and Bear's tooth fell out. Then Franklin says O NO! Bear you lost your tooth, and Bear said I know its normal for me. Then Franklin went home and found a small rock that looked like a tooth. He wrote a letter asking for something. Well it turns out in the morning there was another note saying, I am sorry but you're a turtle, and turtle's don't have teeth. So, when he went to have breakfast his parents gave him a present for being who he was and that he was growing into a nice young turtle
