5-0 out of 5 stars NEVER a mistake with Richard Scarry!
When I was a little guy, I loved books by Richard Scarry! Now as a daddy, I'm overjoyed that my little girl, Riley, gets into this book that she got by Scarry.
5-0 out of 5 stars Sometimes a Mistake Can Turn Out Okay, After All
Huckle Cat tries hard, but he makes a lot of mistakes. When his mother asks him to help with the chores he washes the dishes with too much soap and the dust really flies in his room when he dusts. Mom Cat gives him a list, which includes; butter, cream, apples, potatoes and oranges and sends Huckle to the store to do the shopping. However, Huckle forgets the list, but not worry, he has a good memory. So he picks up peanut butter instead of butter, ice cream instead of cream, apple pie instead of apples, potato chips instead of potatos and orange soda instead of oranges. Oh well, he kind of remembered didn't he? When he got home the cat family had a very interesting dinner and Mom Cat tells him that he made the best mistakes ever!
5-0 out of 5 stars A Winner in Our House!
Our nearly three-year old daughter simply loves this book. She first got Richard Scarry's "Biggest Word Book Ever" (which I ABSOLUTELY recommend!), and therefore already knew the characters. She cracks up at the clumsy Mr. Frumble, who is always having accidents, and she is attracted to the kindness and friendship between Lowly Worm and Huckle Cat.She recognizes emotions and personality traits in this book...Mommy Cat is angry, Huckle Cat is sad, poor Mr. Frumble is "accident prone".These emotions are displayed in an age appropriate way. This book is a compilation of 3 short stories, and is one of the first "big girl" books she consistently wants to read, morning and night.Definitely the best few bucks I ever spent! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Let the Aardvark beware
In this, another great book by Marc Brown, children can learn vicariously through Arthur about money management, and specifically, how hard it is to earn money and how easily it is lost. These, ( the Arthur and D.W. Books),are great books, and more up to date than most children's books. ... Read more

Roll up your sleeves and get ready to help Maisy and her friends run thefarm! This interactive book about the lovable, industrious Maisyincludes 26 full-color press-out pieces and a 16-page mini book. 5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!!
I bought this because my daughter LOVES Maisy. We had previously bought the playhouse, and my 2 year old loved it so much, we bought this one too.My only suggestion is to laminate or tape up (with clear packing tape) the Maisy, Cyril, Tallulah, and Charley since they get worn out very easily.I know Maisy's arms don't move then, but my daughter didn't seem to mind.Otherwise, this will provide hours of fun!

3-0 out of 5 stars Great idea but.....
I love the concept of this pop-up Farm, the design is adorable. However, my 3 year old, who is extremely gentle with her things, has accidently ripped many of the parts & pieces. It is not built that well!I keep a glue stick with me every time she plays with it, which is daily. The cut outs of Maisy & her buddies are very cute.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun and keeps them busy for ages
This book opens out to form a pop up farm scene - complete with vegetable garden, barn, stables etc.All the peices that you use to tell your own story need to pressed out of a thin card before you start, but there are lots of surprised hidden amongst the walls of the pop-up to discover for yourself.A small book is also included.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful--and Very Colorful!
Thomas and the Shooting Star caught my son's eye the other day when we were in a "Stuff Mart". He actually chose this book and another Thomas book over a PS2 game!
5-0 out of 5 stars great bed time book
my 2 1/2 yr old daughter loves this Thomas book. It's the perfect length for bedtime reading.Enjoy!

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best Thomas books!
If you have a Thomas fan, you need to get this book. It's larger than most too, and very well illustrated. The night sky is just beautiful, dotted with tons of stars.Thomas can't fall asleep on this particular night so Gordon sees an opportunity to tease Thomas after they see a shooting star.Gordon tells Thomas that if he finds the star, the star will tell him how to fall asleep. So Thomas goes off in search of the star and along the way, runs into Percy who is delivering the mail.Thomas leaves before Percy can tell him that Gordon is tricking him again. He then sees Harold who tells Thomas that Gordon is being sneaky and that he won't be able to catch up with the star.Thomas gets very sleepy on his way back to the shed where Edward is waiting for him. While talking, Thomas finally falls asleep.

5-0 out of 5 stars Tiff at GMS
The story was mainly told in the forest. The main characters in the story was Franklin. The minor characters were bear, rabbit, foxbeaver skunk. The theme was that this book would be that school is alot of fun and don't be afraid to go there. School is a good learning experience. The style would be that the author has a picture on every page and it has friends playing and having fun on every page.

5-0 out of 5 stars A VERY SWEET AND ENDEARING BOOK
FRANKLIN IS A CHARACTER THAT ANYONE REGARDLESS OF AGE CAN LOVE.IN FRANKLIN GOES TO SCHOOL HE HAS GREAT RESERVATIONS ABOUT THIS NEW EXPERIENCE AS DID WE ALL AND OVERCOMES THEM WITH THE HELP OF HIS FRIENDS.I WOULDRECOMEND ANY FRANKLIN BOOK.

5-0 out of 5 stars Franklin wins the hearts of children the very first time .
All of the Franklin books deal with something a child might face. They are written so it is easy for children to conect with their new found friend, and thats just what Franklin will become. I teach children and Franklin isthe most asked for of all the books we have. His stories are great andchildren learn from his experiences. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Loved It!
I loved the case of the Game Show Mystery! It is really good, it is one of my favorite books in the series! Here is a summary of the book. Mary Kate and Ashley have just won a chance to play on their favorite game show Double Trouble. They are really excited, but when they get there they have yet another case to crack. Someone seems detirmened to make sure Mary Kate and Ashley lose. Mary Kate and Ashley have to figure out who is causing all the trouble before it is too late! I hope you decide to read this book! It is great!

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite "New Adventures" book!
This book wasn't like other "New Adventures" book. The Case of the Game Show Mystery actually had an interesting story line.Plus, what made it a good read was that it was both fictitious but realistic in a way. This book is about when Mary-Kate & Ashley are picked to be contestants in their favorite TV show, "Double Trouble". But there is someone who wants them to lose...BAD. Well, that's all I can say;cuz if I say more, I'll give you too many clues that when you'll be reading it, you'll have the mystery solved before the famous Trenchcoat Twins have! :-) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Prompt Service
I ordered a Muppet book from them that was quite cheap. It was in great condition and very low-priced.I received it promptly and was very pleased with the service.

5-0 out of 5 stars fabulous ideas
This book has so many great ideas using many easy to find objects. It even includes a little packet with 2 pairs of eyes, some faux fur, a few feathers and other sundries. The day this book arrived, my daughter and I made 3 puppets. In the next several days we made many more out of socks, oven mitts and other things that were just laying around the house. If you hate to throw things away, you'll love this. After reading the book, you'll start looking at your trash with new eyes. Old paper towel rolls, band-aid tins, fabric scraps, plastic spoons, small plastic bottles you might throw out, sponges, pot scrubbers, erasers--all these things can be transformed into puppets. 4-0 out of 5 stars beautiful book, whimsical puppets....
but children will not be able to reproduce the puppets pictured.Maybe that is the point, that you can make puppets out of anything. So the book is good for inspiration. But don't expect to be able to make the puppets quite like they do! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My students love this book
I teach first grade. My students love this book because the children in this book are just like them! I like the book because it is easy for them to read, has great pictures, and is in the form of a short chapter book so they feel they are smart readers. I also like the morals and lessons in the book. This book and other Little Bill books are great!

5-0 out of 5 stars Little Bill learns a lesson about telling the truth
At the beginning of "My Big Lie," one of comedian and educator Billy Cosby's "Little Bill Books for Beginning Readers," Little Bill is in his room being punished for telling a big fib by having to copy a story called "The Boy Who Cried Wolf."Most young readers will already be familiar with that ancient story, but if they are not Young Bill retells the story and then goes into why he is being punished.Young Bill tells his parents that he is going to ride his bike to the pool to practice with a friend for the swim meet. His mother warns that they are having an early dinner at 4:30 and Little Bill says he will be back by then. But on his way to the pool he sees the guys playing basketball and ends up playing with them. The next thing he knows it is 7:00.Big Bill knows he is in BIG trouble and his friend tells him he had better think of something fast.5-0 out of 5 stars Lessons on Trust
Every year my students have a choice of choosing a book from the stack of 'Little Bill' books, and this one is always the first one they pick. The moral of this story is one that not only teachers wish to inflict, but parents, as well.It has a great way of introducing THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF story into the classroom.I also enjoyed how it introduced a way to discuss the definition of a "fib".This book was great for my students because we were able to explore in more detail the meaning of true "trust".I recommend this book to every teacher and every parent of elementary aged children. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A Game of Blue's Clues Once More
"One for Me, One for You" is a 2006 "Blue's Clues" book, #20 in the series and all about sharing. While some of the recent "Blue's Clues" books have featured Blue and the other dogs talking, evne without Blue's Room, this book reverts to the format of playing the Blue's Clues game. Also, Blue seems to look a bit different in this book --- a bit cuter. I think her face is a bit more rounded.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT STORY, GREAT LESSON LEARNED BY FRANKLIN
I like Franklin books and stories and this, like most of the series, lived up to my expectations.Franklin tells a bit of a fib, and naturally, as is usual in such cases, is caught.Franklin is just like any other kid of this age, sometimes the tall tales are just to tempting when wanting to impress friends. The story is quite well illustrated, the text matches the illustrations and this is just a good read for children. This is a wonderful book to discuss the subject of telling untruths with the children. This work holds the childs interest from page one and they love the illustrations. I was pleased to see that the author did not have the parents deal out some sort of awful punishment for his crime. Most often, just the fact of being caught in a fib, the embarrassment, is quite enough to teach the child (or in this case, the turtle) a good lesson.I can well remember when I was that age.Had I been "punished" for all my tall tales I would still be serving time. All in all, an excellent book and I highly recommend this one.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good
Good book to show that lying is not a good idea. However, Franklin is never really disciplined on why it is not a good idea to lie.

4-0 out of 5 stars Franklin Fibs
This story was about a turtle named Franklin who lies to his friends. Franklins friends can all do something unique like climbing the highest tree, flying over the berry patch without flapping their wings, and chopping down a tree with using just their teeth. Well Franklin gets really jealous so he makes up a lie. Hetells all of his friends he can eat 76 flies in the blink of an eye. The lesson this book teaches is not to lie. The age level of this book is about from ages 5-8. I liked this book because it teaches an important lesson that all children need to learn. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Taken to another planet
The mighty o powrful Ellimist takes the Animorphs and Erik the Chee to another planet to fight the Howlers in orfer to save a race that could help them against the yeerks in the future. It was a great book and Applegate created a fun fascinating planet.

5-0 out of 5 stars Clever Solutions
This is one of my favorite books of the entire series. K.A. Applegate throws another curveball with this book with an ingenious resolution. In this Jake book, the Animorphs and Erek take on seven Howlers (the vicious aliens who destroyed the Pemalites) as the chosen champions for the Ellimist and Crayak. Jake has seen the Crayak before, way back in #6 when the Yeerk died in his head. The Animorphs and Erek must defeat the seven Howlers to decide the fate of the Iskoort species, an amusing, unsymmetrical guild and merchant species. While on the planet, the Animorphs learn why the Iskoort are so important and how their survival can affect the war with the Yeerks.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Jake Book
In this book their is Jake(The leader of the Animorphs or to yeerks Andalite bandits)he wakes up sweating and scared because he has a nightmare about a Bloodred eye(for those of you that never read the The Capture #6 when a yeerk died in his head that's when he had first seen this eye). After that he in a school watching a excerpt of the Lion King. That's when the ellimist who(is a all powerful creature who can do anything gave them chance to save themselves and their family and go to another planet and ditch the world in The Stranger #7and gave Tobias back his morphing power but didn't give his humanity in The Change #13).He stopped time to ask the animorphs to help him save race called the Iskoort from Crayak(The blood-red eye.Crayak is evil has Problem with the ellimist so he wants to kill them. The ellimist wants them to fight for him in a game.Seven of them versus seven howlers(who were the one to destroy the pemalites who created the chee who are Androids)Animorphs only have six members so they bring the Erek the chee so now they are on planet Iskoort and ready to fight.P.S Crayak made the howlers.
