5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great read
I bought it a few weeks ago and just finished it. The story is about two twins named Ellen and Edgar. They have an unknown pet called Pet. In this book, Ellen was acting awkwardly towards Edgar. She was taking a bath, making soups for her twin brother, cleaning their mansion and also accepting an invitation from her enemy, Stephanie. But they soon recover the mystery. It's a great book. Charles Ogden is using easy vocabularies so it was easy for a Malaysian girl to understand. I gave it 5 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars The twins destiny...and the family curse
Alex and Cam split up for the summer...for the first time since they have discovered each other. While Alex stays in Marble Bay, Cam goes to Coventry Island to help an old boyfriend of hers. Cam ends up in danger and Alex doesn't know it...yet. The twins in this book finds out a family secret and they are becoming really, really powerful.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book was great
I loved this book. It told a lot of things I had been wondering about. If you have not read any of the other books though it would not be good to start. This book is about the twins Cam and Alex. They are 15 years old and are completly diffirent.Alex is the one with the cool hair. Cam is the one with the shoulder length natural hair. They are really powerful witches. If you haven`t read them I won`t tell you any more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Second is the best out of all three
I picked up The Wind Singer when I was in 7th or 8th grade and I remember reading the last two in 3 or 4 days. I am very glad I picked up the Wind Singer when I got it, otherwise I wouldn't have known about this great trilogy. I own all three books but Slaves of the Mastery has remained my favorite for years. Even so that I don't even read the first book anymore, not that I don't like the first one but the second and third take on a kind of different atmosphere: Kestrel, Bowman, Pinto, and Mumpo are all older, as is everyone else and the trilogy itself takes a turn into a more mature state. I guess another reason why I like this one so much is because it's right in the middle of the trilogy and you know that when you read the last page it's not over yet. If you didn't like the first one I do have to tell you that the second is WAY better, it's not as juvenile. Not trying to down his first book, it just seems that way.

5-0 out of 5 stars Waiting for the movie
Couldn't wait to read the third one after finishing this one.The imagination of the writer is incredible. The adventures in this book kept me reading into the night.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!
I've just finished reading this book. I loved it so much that wherever I went it was always staring at me, waiting for me where I put it down last. In one word: Mastery! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Plots of the Trieze
Clio and Thais, identical twins who only just discovered each other, are at the center of numerous plots by the group of immortal witches known as the Trieze. Each twin has her own views about what the reworking of the great spell might mean but they are both against the idea of being used by the other witches. As the time for the reenactment approaches, the twins uncover a lot of secrets both together and separately. They even find out who is behind some of the attempts on their lives.
5-0 out of 5 stars They just keep getting better and BETTER!
Cate Tiernan is such a fantastic author! I love all of her books and this specific one did not let me down. It starts where the last one left off and the drama and mystery continues. I love this series so much and hope that it continues!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Something is going on with Clio.......
This book series just gets better and better. Clio is dealing with some things and Thais is still fighting her feelings that she has toward Luc. Not only that, one of them may be the dark twin and if so who? I highly recommend this book and can't wait till the fourth. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Horace doesn't bore us
In fact we found this cautionary tale of probiscus thievery and sibling rivalry downright enchanting. The "drawerings" are top-notch, the sound effects well-oiled and the story glows with originality. ( It does make you wonder though just what sort of horrible things the author's brother must have inflicted on him growing up. ) My four year old daughter called it "A laff riot!" and my 2 year son gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up. Which is good because that's exactly what I asked them to do. They're good kids. Not like Horace & Boris. They have issues. Nose issues. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars It's your misfortune, ain't none of my own
Cowboys are cool. They always have been and they always will be.It's just a fact of life, really.Like pirates, they capture the childish imagination (though we've yet to host an International Talk Like a Cowboy Day as of yet).Who wouldn't want to be able to say they could rope a buck, tame a steer, or ride a bull? It's kind of funny, then, that there aren't that many cowboy books out there for kids. You get the regular smattering of picture books, of course, and there's usually at least one non-fiction title published every year for the true fans.Chapter books, however, are less common than you might think. Thanks goodness for "A Small White Scar", then, eh?Part cowboy drama, part tale of brotherly love and hate, first-time novelist (and east Colorado native) K.A. Nazum gives this book her all. It's a nice voice and a nice book and I think that that's all there is to say about that.

3-0 out of 5 stars A Fashionable Mystery
As with the previous books in this series, I don't think this series has much value if you're young reader isn't madly in love with the Bratz! In Accessory to the Crime we join the Bratz planning a party for their friend Cameron's Birthday. The party goes smoothly, the party a hit...but when Cloe goes to get Cameron's present, she finds her purse missing...what we have here is a simple chapter book with a pretty straight forward mystery, where once again, the true lesson seems not so much to be about catching the bad guy as treating others with kindness and respect and where playing fair works to their advantage. There is an almost too clean cut, things work out just right feel to this, but I think this will appeal to younger readers and it's certainly a positive message for them.Coming in at 80 pages, this series is ideal for kids just starting out reading chapter books (or for those struggling to do so).The font size, spacing and simplistic text make it easy for a beginning reader to read, comprehend AND enjoy the story. This won't challenge older readers at all, as the mystery is pretty simple and easy to solve...but if your young reader is having trouble reading the words AND following the story on their own, then this book is just what the doctor ordered!I'd say this is ideal for readers ages 6-8, but it's got a light-hearted, feel-good message that could be enjoyed by older readers, provided they enjoy the Bratz!I give it a solid B! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Witch Hunters
We find out in this book the dark side to protectors and we find out more about Sersee. Someone does not like witches and warlocks and the hunter is very determined to get rid of magick for good. Will the twins stop him in time?

3-0 out of 5 stars Twitches
This book is o.k but it fucoses on Cam a unrealistic made to be perfect charcter. In this series most of them do center on Cam even though it is supposed to be equal between the twins Alex and Cam. Cam has no flaws and shallow as I said before but Alex is real and a fun, spunky charcter another to enjoy is Ilena a fiery blond in a gray area. The story is about how their is a mortal who goes around killing witches because he was a failed protecter. at this point it contridicts itself because in the earliar book Kindred Spirits it makes Sersee sound weak but in this one it makes her sound like a powerful witch. The love between Ilena and Brice Stanley ( a thantos sympathiser and movie star) thickens.)

5-0 out of 5 stars Twins. Witches. Exactly. T*Witches Rock!
This book is great. It continues the story of two teenage witches separated at birth, and brought together again at the age of 14. this has to be my personal favorite in the series. i was really suprised when one of the Six-Pack members has a new secret about herself. An old flame of my fav. caracter Alex comes back into the story, while Cam's leaves (not for good). Once again, the "Coventry Mom" and the "Police Officer Ileana" return, along with Lord Thantos and Sersee, leader of the Furies. This is a great read. It took me half and hour to read its 145 pages. Until the last word, it has you "hanging on" for more. This is a book that would keep older readers hanging on (like myself)! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Twelfth Night is a Twelve out of Ten
Originally written by William Shakespeare and retold by Bruce Coville, Twelfth Night is a wonderful book. Coville really captures the Shakespearean feel of the original in this delightful picture book. The story revolves around a young woman named Viola. The story begins as Viola finds herself in an unfamiliar land with no means of food or shelter. To survive in this new place she dresses as a man to go and work for the duke of the land, Orsino. It is not long before Viola develops strong feelings for the kind duke. However, Orsino is already infatuated with Lady Olivia. Orsino sends Viola to Lady Olivia to deliver his letters professing his love to her. Upon meeting the gentle messenger Olivia falls in love with her. Little does anyone know that the messenger is indeed a woman! It is all a crazy mess that is both comical and entertaining. Anyone looking for quality entertainment could find it in this great book.

5-0 out of 5 stars wonderful book for new readers
My five year old loves this book. It was a loan from the school library, but now it has a home for good. This book is easy to memorize making it very easy for early readers to learn how to read!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, Especially For Twins!
This book was one of my favorites as a child, and I am buying the newest edition to read to my children.I always wanted to be a twin like Julie and Jennifer. It teaches that children can be alike and different because that's what makes them unique.Although it is a little bit repetitive, with every page ending, "Just like me," or "Not like me," it emphasizes the point that no two people are exactly alike, but everyone has some things in common. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars The Parent Trap Reversed
Thais (pronounced Tie-ees) has had her world turned upside down. Her father has died in an accident. But as the will is settled, she does not get to go with the woman she thought would be her guardian.Instead she is given to the care of a strange woman from New Orleans. She has no choice, at least until she turns eighteen in four months. Her new guardian is strange and seems unconcerned with things like Thais going to school.Thais has to enroll herself for senior year.
5-0 out of 5 stars The Start of Something Special!
Wow, is my first thought when i think about this book, Cate has done it again, I love the characters Clio and Thais, my favorite is Clio because she's not learning she's experiencing unlike thais who is also over emotional! Thais was forced into this life, a life she would rather not be experiencing and because she knows nothing, her journey is more based on learning and discovery but clio, who has lived with magic her entire life is now exploring and experimenting with magic. I love the way this book has both magic and relationship drama, and it's not only based on one person or two but thirteen totally unique individuals! this is very different from Sweep, thankfully. I foresee alot more drama in the future with this book, so watch out and get the next three books,i know for a fact, you wont be disappointed! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book
I bought this for my daughter and she just tore thru it in about 3 days and loved it.She just finished the 4th book and is looking forward to reading more of them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book!
My nine year old son loves this series. He says "It is great for Christian families and kids. It is great as a read-aloud and a read-alone."
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Series
This series of books has something for the entire family - the kids will love the pages chocked full of action and the parents will love the faith and values that the authors manage to mingle in.The action is so fast-paced that the kids won't put the book down until the very end; even then, they'll be ready to immediately read the next book. And somewhere along that road, they get exposed to Christian behavior and ideals. These authors have proven themselves time and time again to deliver good books.Don't miss out on this series! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality
I read this book with my 8 year old daughter and could not believe all of the errors in it (punctuation errors, grammatical errors, missing words). The errors are very obvious and were easily recognizable by my daughter. Our reading of the book focused more on finding errors than it did on enjoying the story.
5-0 out of 5 stars This one looks good
I read some of this book in the "search inside" thing and i read the description, it looked cool. And i also have a prediction.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Magic Grows
Thais's father died in an accident. She was then whisked off to New Orleans where she discovered that she has an identical twin and that they are descended from witches. They are also surrounded by a bunch of witches made immortal by a huge spell worked over 200 years ago.Clio, Thais's twin is trying to deal with the fact that her father had been around and that her grandmother should have a lot of greats in front of her name.It is not easy for either twin although Clio was brought up to understand magic. That is what this volume deals with.
5-0 out of 5 stars Witchy and FUN
This series just seems to get better! I loved the first one in this series and this second book continued that love. The drama starts at the very beginning and it continues through till the end of the book. I love how the author (Cate Tiernan) switches the perspectives of each chapter. Sometimes a chapter will be about Thias, another about Clio, or another about another character. They change frequently and it was so well done that you can tell quickly who you are reading about. I loved this book so much!

5-0 out of 5 stars The twins
This book was a lot better than the first one. We learn some more things about the twins past and their line and the coven. Plus someone is trying to kill them but who? ... Read more
