4-0 out of 5 stars ID Twins!
One of the only books on twins I could find - and the only one of those I could find featuring ID twins. As a mom of ID twin boys, it was important for me to find some reading material that featured ID twins - this definately does, and the easy language appeals to babies - as well as early readers.

2-0 out of 5 stars Twins Take a Bath
I bought a series of these books for my niece and nephew who are twins. The topic of being twins isn't really even addressed in these books. There just seem to be two kids who look like eachother throughout the books. The pictures are alright and the language is very simple. Not ideal for outloud reading. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Bagpiper's Ghost: Tartan Magic Book #3
I teach fourth grade. The kids loved this whole series...It teaches about Scottish words as the story develops...its awesome!

5-0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable!
This is the third book in Jane Yolen's Tartan Magic trilogy, and picks up soon after the events in The Pictish Child. In this book, Jennifer and Peter, two American children on vacation in Scotland, head off to visit a local graveyard. Peter is rather jealous of Jennifer's newfound magical ability, and wants to find some magic himself. However, when they meet three ghosts, Peter gets more than he bargained for! Now Jennifer is in a race against time to get Peter un-possessed, and put some poor souls to rest.4-0 out of 5 stars Response To Literature
Peter and Jennifer, the main characters, are in Scotland for vacation with their family. The Bagpiper's Ghost is about a two twins, Peter and Jennifer, who listen to a dog and go to see a ghost at the cemetery at midnight. When they are at the cemetery the dog runs away and leaves the kids to defend themselves. The dog ran away because a ghost was coming. Jennifer starts to run away with Peter right behind her, but they stop because there is another ghost on the other side of the fence. Jennifer tells Peter to open the gate so they can get out, but Peter isn't Peter any more. He is Mary MacFabben's, the ghost that was behind them, brother. The ghost on the other side of the fence is Mary's boyfriend, Iain McGregor. Mary and her brother, Andrew, are twins, that's why the dog brought them there. If a dog was telling me to go to a cemetery I would be a little creep out.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars exciting book
This book is about twins Madrigal and Mary Lee. Mary Lee is being sent away to boarding school and she feels betrayed, she feels like her parents love her sister more, and Magrigal says that it is a good idea that she leaves, like she doesnt care what happens to her. At boarding school, Mary Lee is a misfit, she has no friends and everyone thinks she is crazy when she claims she has a twin, they think she is making it up to seem cool. Mary Lee writes letters to Madrigal and Madrigal doesnt really say much to her, she only mentions that she has a boyfriend, Jon Pear. Then Madrigal comes to visit on their winter break and everyone at Mary Lee's boarding school likes her more than they like Mary Lee. They all go skiing and nobody really pays attention to Mary Lee because she has such a boring personality compared to Madrigal and even her ski suit is worse than hers. Madrigal asks Mary Lee to switch suits and pretend to be eachother. Mary Lee says ok, and they do it. Then, Madrigal goes up in the ski lift, all by herself because everyone thinks she is Mary Lee, and her lift chair breaks off and she dies. Everyone thinks that it was Mary Lee though, and Mary Lee thinks that since Madrigal is more popular, why not pretend to be her. After they pack up all of her things and she goes back home and starts school, she realizes what people really thought of Madrigal, and what Jon Pear is really like. Read this book cuz it is quite exciting.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not Good enough for Ms. Cooney
The plot of this book is so confusing & unrealistic. Two twins are separated by their parents. Mary Lee is sent to boarding school and Madrigal gets to stay home. Mary Lee thinks her sister is so great but she doesn't even really Know her5. Madrigal comes and visits and dies. But they switched places so everyone thinks Mary Lee died. This book was hard to follow and you really didn't understand why the characters did what they did. Like why Mary Lee didn't know about Madrigal's secret life even when they went to the same school? And why exactly did her parents decide to just suddenly separate the sisters? Ms. Cooney has written better. Read: the Face on the Milk Carton Series, Losing Christina books, etc.

1-0 out of 5 stars Odd, only in the worst way possible

5-0 out of 5 stars Edgy little book
If you like your coffee black and your comedy dark, this book is for you.Definitely not your average teen novel, this first novel by Andrew Auseon percolates with quirky characters, a dysfunctional family, and it makes you ask yourself how far you would go for revenge.
5-0 out of 5 stars A nice break from typical YA fare
Arty Moore is a growth-challenged high schooler who had no friends and lives to be as unnoticeable as possible, especially to his hulk of a twin brother, who torments him endlessly.Towards the end of the school year, Arty makes an unlikely female friend and manages to join the town's misfit underground resistance system.Pulled in several different directions, Arty is offered opportunities for revenge against his brother.Nothing is as simple as it seems, though, and Auseon's novel packs a punch of commentary on family relationships, friendships, and what it means to stick your neck our for another person.
5-0 out of 5 stars Underrated YA
This book is funny as crap, not in the ha-ha way, but in a real way. You almost feel bad you're laughing. That's probably why it works so well. I had never heard of this book until a friend recommended it. It's definitely a worthwhile read for those with a dark, odd sense of humor. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I loved the Elizabeth and Todd scenes
The parts I loved were the Elizabeth and Todd scenes. I love Todd's character and Elizabeth and Todd's relationship is great. Todd helps her stand up for herself when Jessica is up to another scheme to take advantage of her. This book shows how loving Todd is and how he helps out Elizabeth. Elizabeth is in a dilemma in which she has tio pretend to be her sister. The Elizabeth and Todd scenes were the best parts.

3-0 out of 5 stars ITS SPOUSED TO BE ABOUT JESSICA BUT ITS REALLY NOT!
Its was kinda good but its spoused to be aobut Jessica and her new college boyfriend. But they only have like one chapter about that. The whole book is mostly about Elizebeth. Like what will she do to help out her sister, her and Todd having some problems. This whole book just revloves around Elizebeth not Jessica. I was very disapointed about this book. Next time they should give a descreption about Elizebeth instead of Jessica!!

5-0 out of 5 stars An Older college guy
Jessica[Typical Jessica] goes out with a college guy named Scott. She sneakes off to a college beach party, and has a little beer. She doesn't come home the next morning for school,Elizabeth does both twins, her and Jessica.Jessica arrives in time for Cheerleading practice, and She said that Scott Daniels did make her sick,While Elizabeth[who pretended to be Jessica] said She threw Scott Daniels in the water because he was being a creep in front of all his friends. She made it all up of course.Elizabeth and Todd have a fight then make up again. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Mystery To The Max
This book is soooo good I love it I just got not even a year ago and Ive read it ten times thats good. I cant put it down

4-0 out of 5 stars A Mystery Mix
Double Trouble Squared is a great mystery about the Starbuck twins, their ability to use telepathy with each other and their interest in Sherlock Holmes. Liberty and July, twins, a boy and girl, born on the Fourth of July, hence the names, and their little sisters, the twins Charley and Molly, have long been able to telepath, communicate with thought, instead of words. In the recent weeks surrounding their move to London, mysterious things are happening with their telepathy. Echoes, sad, but not frightening, and staticare begining to interupt their communication. The children must unravel the mystery, leadin them into fooggy London, wodded Sussex, the Tower of London, Stratford upon Frustration and finally back to their house at Devonshire Mews. It is a wonderful, engrossing, but not at all scary mystery mixing twins, Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle, and London in a splendid mix. This book about the Starbuck family will make you want more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well Done--A Great Mystery/Thriller!
With the first book in her Starbuck Family Adventure Series, Kathryn Lasky will enchant you with chilling mystery, laugh-out-loud humor, and a setting of anyone's dreams.Zany characters, an unpublished work, a crack in the cieling, and many more small aspects make up this story of courage, mystery, and evensome Sherlock.... ... I think War of the Wardrobes was a pretty good book. This is what it's about -- Ashley HATES school uniforms. But she wrote an article about dress codes for the school newspaper - and now everyone thinksn she likes them. Students at White Oak Academy might have to wear uniforms - and they're blaming Ashley!Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars A bit harsh
In fairness, this book DOES portray real-life for the older sibling of twins. However, I found it harsh and unpleasant as it mostly deals with the negative aspects until the end.I think the older siblings already know the negative aspects, and need to focus on the more positive aspects of having twin babies in the house! We read it once and that was it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must for the big sister of twins
This book really expresses the joys and frustrations of being the Big Sister to twins (and the parents too). We received this as a gift and it is still a family favorite. Our "special big girl" is 6 1/2 and our twinnies are just turning 5. Give this to someone you know who is expecting a double blessing. The illustrations are colorful and are right on the mark!

2-0 out of 5 stars "Are You Ready to Bind Yourself to the Cause of Good?"
Twin siblings Pip and Tim have recently moved from the city to the countryside manor house of Rawne Barton with their parents. The move was a bit of a culture-shock for the city-slickers, but that was nothing compared to finding a young boy named Sebastian who had been in a magical state of hibernation for the last six hundred years. Struggling to cope with the 21st century, Sebastian's gifts as a powerful alchemist also had to be put to good use in the struggle against evil sorcerers who have also emerged in the present-day.

Martin Booth's teenage alchemist returns in "Soul Stealer: The Alchemist's Son Part II," a somewhat shaky but somewhat stronger fantasy thriller. It's a more entertaining, creepy adventure, though the "alchemist's son" of the title is the book's biggest weakness.
