Good description of the mathematical models used by SPICE

Spice made easy with clear thoughtout format.
This book has just about everthing you want toknow about spice from it'shistory in early 60's, to solving convergance in array of circuits,whichare difficult to simulate.I found the book to be useful for it's tables toconstruct better and more models than I had ever imagined possible.Theauthor does use alot of mathematical expressions to explain the spicesyntax, but the format isgreat, and well thought out.This book is the"toolbox" for spice. It's a winner when is comes to drawings
I bought Engineering Design with SolidWorks 2006 and it's a very useful book. The Engineering Design book is a great hands-on book; that is easy to read, follow, and understand. The book provided a solid general understanding and foundation of SW.

Excellent AutoCAD Instruction
I have been using this book as the text for Introduction to AutoCAD at American Samoa Community College for the past five years.Each new edition incorporates the best of the preceding edition.It is self paced with excellent tips and clear instruction.It is one of the only intro texts to use an architectual example for the vehicle to teach increasingly complex commands and tasks.AutoCAD can be confusing to the beginner but with this text, anyone can learn AutoCAD with or without a formal class.

This AutoCAD manual is clearly written and easy to follow.The book is organized around a drawing or set of drawings of a house.The reader learns by following the steps. My one criticism is that it isn't always possible to determine the general procedure from the specific drafting exercise that it leads you through.

Very Satisfied
This book is great for beginners ! I have bought other books such as the Mastering Autocad from George Omura ,but the thing I really enjoyed about this book was that it was explained in very simple terms , as not to intimidate a beginner !The only reason I got this one was to catch up on this version of Autocad 2002, previously coming from Autocad 14 . Assertiveness Training
As the authors state in the preface of the book, the main focus of the text is to show the reader how to write high quality contracts. This is not a text intended to convince readers of the veracity of design by contract, but if you are a developer with an academic knowledge of assertions, then this book with its extensive examples will likely convert you to a design by contract advocate.
Not enough material
The aim of the book is to teach readers about contracts and how to write good ones. The main points are summarized at the start of the book in a series of six guidelines (as described in the review above):
I think contracts are not very strong tool
I read this book and I think presented material is not practical in commercial applications. In my opinion better solution is writting tests and using aspects to integrate applications. I know this is something different from contracts, by I think contracts are to complex, hard to maintain and lacks of support for multithreaded problems.

Without College Start Here
This book was sent to several engineers at the magazine. The author provides a good starting point for someone with a high school education. You will have to get a more advanced text to teach yourself the finer points but this would be the place to start. The fonts used are easy to read.

What a bargain!
About a month ago, I bought the One Step at a Time series (3 books with the workbook) for AutoCAD 2007 in ebook format.The whole series cost me 30.24 - and I didn't have to wait (or pay) for shipping.Then I printed them all (in color) at work so I could reference them anytime I needed to.
Good book/series at a good price!
I bought the AutoCAD 2007: One Step at a Time series (including 3D and Workbook) and am very please with the product.I only had about a week to get up to speed with AutoCAD (I studied it in the mid-90s but haven't seen it since), and these books were very easy to follow and left me with a better-than-functional understanding of the software.I amazed myself with my final 3d drawing!
Five Stars for the Series and the Support
I've now been through both the beginning and 3D books of this series and am very happy with both.The approach is straightforward and easy to follow.

so many pages, and so little stuff. what a waste of time and money!

Good to decorate your shelves
This book spends too much paper explaining the Java history and why it is a good programming language. It is very, very boring. The advanced stuff begins after chapter 3, but they are not well explained. Well, all I can say is I really regret having bought this book, and I do not recommend it to any expirienced and short-in-time Java programmer like me.

Useful - But No In Depth Coverage
The book covers many abstract concepts, but it is hard to understand what something abstract means without a concrete example.Implementation of the heap, object layout, etc. is difficult to conceptualize without a real example.I would have been happy if this book discussed the VM as it does now with a running commentary on the Sun Win32 JVM implementation. ... Still haven't Received the Materials
I'm sure the books would have been wonderful...if I had received them.So far it's been 5 weeks since they were shipped, lost, and then shipped again.We'll see.

Worthless.None of the things that had baffled me were even mentioned in this book.Many sections refer the reader to "the online help."I have been hacking for twenty five years with no formal education, and learned everything I know from books and hands-on.I learned NOTHING from this book.Don't waste your time.

Good introduction book for DE

Excellent introduction to IC design
This book does a great job of taking designers through the steps to tape-out for fabrication, and provides lots of helpful details on L-Edit usage. Several members of our design group also learned L-Edit in school, and we still use it now for its PC platform flexibilty. The learning curve is shallow and it's a great option even though Cadence and other tools are available.

A textbook showing how to use a simple IC layout program
This book shows how to use the L-Edit computer program.The program is intended to be very simple so that students can learn how to use it in a short time.It is for designing MOS digital integrated circuits.Students with the basic knowledge gained from using this simplified program will find the next step of learning the more complex programs used in industry a less painful experience.
