Buy Gottinger's book instead
This is a very interesting book that covers the full range of network industries - and is in many ways a welcome addition to the literature. Network economics in one solid and compact book
This is an original academic textbook for network economics. Oz Shy starts the book by making some reasonable claims on his discipline at large: scientific papers in economics are too technical and use unnecessary amounts of calculus. Though the book is very analytical and covers a wide scope of issues, prerequisites are at a considerably low level. Because the book uses game theory and logical reasoning instead of calculus, it is accessible to readers with different backgrounds. This book will be in good use at least with the students of economics and engineering.Read more

Excellent Introduction to XForms
This book in an excellent review of the XForms standard.It is part tutorial and part reference book.It starts with about 50 pages of background material (XPath, XML Schema, XML, namespaces etc) and then starts with a conceptual overview with some examples.It then takes us through all the major XForms concepts and elements.
Good blend of conceptual and reference material...
XForms is one of those technologies that hasn't yet taken off, but could make a substantial impact if it ever does.I got a copy of XForms - XML Powered Web Forms by T. V. Raman in order to understand a bit more about the subject...

RBAC Jack - Caveat Emptor!
I purchased the digital version of this book for which I totally regret.First, the book is bloated and really offers little more than can be viewed free on NIST's Website.Second, the Adobe DRM (Digital Rights Manager) reader won't let you make a backup copy and Amazon (i.e., their Indian Customer "Service" Reps anyway) don't understand either U.S. fair use Copyright laws or customer service.Thus not only wouldn't I buy this book...I won't ever buy another product from Amazon ever again.

Its What You Need. Seriously!
I have been a Web Design and Developer since 1998. I picked up this book in 2002 because I wanted to learn how to create an online database program and a e-commerce store. I picked it up at my local book store and found that it was very easy to read.

A significant proportion of this book is dedicated to producing well presented listings.Easy HTML for ebay does a far better job of covering the same ground.There are also alot of quick tips that are easy to apply (and have been better covered in books such as ebay hacks).

Good for the beginner
If you are trying to decide or have made that big decision to start an eBay business, check out this title. It's not wordy but gives good guidance.As well as the usual Table of Contents and Index (which are well done), there is an initial page that gives you Contents at a Glance.This is a nice and unusual touch that keeps you from any unnecessary searches because the Table of Contents is lengthy.Also, contained in the Introduction are adequate and easy to understand instructions on use.Be sure to read this before jumping ahead and you will be very pleased with your purchase. You will become an A++ seller.

Nice Price, Text Rich, Poor Diagrams, Great Classifications!
This book can be divided into 3 main parts. The first 4 chapters essentially put forward the case for e-procurement with an opening chapter containing some 33 references alone! Good Book On Fundamentals

Mr. Neef did an excellent job with this book. It is not a down and dirty technical book that describes the inner workings of an e-procurement system.Then again, I think that is why I like it so much. Robert G. Allen is a notorious and relentless internet spammer.If you should happen to somehow end up on one of his email lists like I did, he will send you several junk emails a day.Unsubscribing doesn't work, and trying to block the sender's domain is useless because the emails are sent from a different domain every time.The funny part is that the emails aren't even coded properly.They always show up as just a bunch of html code.Would you really take internet money-making advice from a guy who can't even code html properly?Anyway, his spamming practices are completely illegal and it's only a matter of time before the law catches up with him.But that shouldn't come as any surprise considering that mister Allen has been in trouble with the law before.He's had several run-ins with the IRS, lawsuits against him, and a chapter 7 bankruptcy.I would also stay away from his Nothing Down real estate methods.Many of those practices are illegal, and the president of the Nothing Down club in Atlanta wound up in federal prison because of it.For more info on Allen, visit johntreed dottcomm, click on Real Estate Investing, then click Real Estate Guru Ratings.Bottom line, don't trust this guy and don't buy his books. Good book depending on your needs
First off, I really feel inclined to say this book isn't for people who are looking to get rich off of the Internet.Please do not buy this book if you are just looking for a get rich quick by shoving content online, and hoping that google adwordswill pay off.This book will not assist you in this.

Mansfield furnishes an unabashed pitch for setting up a store on eBay. Many details are given about how you can go about advertisting your items. Book cover torn apart
The book was probably "good as new" as they claimed until it was violently shoved into the package. The cover was almost torn apart, barely in one piece.

A tad bit disappointing
I bought this book being completely convinced that it was a complete reference on the basic XML technologies along with an introduction to XML, XML's history and development and so on. It shows up to my disappointment, that the book is largely influenced by a number of corporations using XML to make money, and is therefore *not* focussed very much on the actual technologies.
The One source you need to answer any question about XML
It took Charles Goldfarb, Paul Prescod and many others, sixty-seven chapters to explain all there is to know about XML and XML related technology.This book must be the most complete reference book when it comes to XML: any thing from history of XML in Chapter 1 to VoiceXML in Chapter 46 and everything in between.This book is filled, and each chapter is appropriately marked with, Introductory Discussions, Application Discussions, Tool Discussions, Case Studies and Friendly Tutorials.
