4-0 out of 5 stars Funny But Can Be Somewhat Vulgar
This book has a lot of hilarious jokes in it, but it also has quite a few inappropriate jokes ranging from slightly vulgar to downright crude. Granted, the majority of the jokes are clean (as far as the language goes) but have adult themes (i.e. the differences between men & women, sex, drinking, etc) Overall this is a good book (in my opinion) but the reader should be aware of the possibility of being offended by some strong cuss words and outright obnoxious themes.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best book on e-tails
This book is so funny. I love the fact that it is a good-time read and is shocking at times. I can't remember a time when I read a book that I showed my friends and they couldn't put it down. Ever since I showed my friends and family, everybody I know has asked me where I got it. We took this book everywhere and everytime we got bored we'd just start reading it. If they came out with another book like this I'd definitly be the first to get it. I'd definitly recommened this book.

4-0 out of 5 stars It was alright
This book is a pretty cool book if you like that kind of stuff. Definitely not for the little kids though. Some vulgarities are included in the book. But all in all, it is really funny. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Who in computing doesn't like to pick on Microsoft now and then? (Other than Bill himself, that is.) Here's a book full of some of the funniest jabs ever thrown at the software giant. There are the classic forms, such as the light bulb jokes ("Q: How many Microsoft testers does it take to change a light bulb? A: We just notice that the room is dark. We don't fix the problems.") and standard stories. ("Bill Gates dies and sees St. Peter....") There are also riffs on popular culture ("What if Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Jeffrey Armstrong as Saint $ilicon -- seeing the future...
In a humorous manner, Jeffrey Armstrong became an evangelist for the computer and information gneeration...a brilliant writer and performer he used this book as his "bible" to launch into new spheres of influence. Now he's gone on to something much nearer and dearer to his heart-- check for his other books. But this book was/is still fabulous. It is awesome in its potential for bringing even luddites into the next generation of technology and media. Fun drawings, photos and poems are fabulous for the casual reader, but if you read through the whole book you get a sense of how prescient Armstrong was/is. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Fun!
I love this book!Everyone who owns a computer has all the necessary components at their disposal to make the arts and crafts projects or games and puzzles created by the author. It's a lot of fun, and would make a terrific stocking stuffer, pollyanna gift, or housewarming present, for anyone on your holiday list!

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally demented
I read an interview with the author in the New York Times and thought this book sounded pretty cool. Now that I have it, I can report that it is totally demented. The activities are completely nuts--what kind of person thinks this stuff up?--but the amazing thing is, they all really work.Even the Floppy Disk Halloween Mask. And the drawings are terrific.Best of all it even comes with a mouse-pad cover. It's a great gift for the computer geek in your life. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Must read for online junkies, neophytes, & grizzled Net vets
The Ilan brothers have scored again with the "too much" theme. Their first book was a hotter than a cup-a-joe from your local greasyspoon. This one will not disappoint. These guys have their fingers on thepulse of what's hot, new and cutting edge, from java (the drinkable kind)to Java (the encoded kind), they've hit the jackpot, Vegas style, baby. 5-0 out of 5 stars A great follow-up to their coffee joke book.
The Ilans have done it again!A great follow up to "You know youdrink too much coffee when..."The brothers have acomically-interesting outlook on life.If you like to surf the net as muchas I do, then you'll love this book. The perfect gift for anyone withE-mail.

5-0 out of 5 stars Online Book Shoppers:This is About US!!!!
This is the funniest book because it is so true!I haven't laughed this hard since the Ilan Brothers' coffee book. They sure know about coffee and internet addicts like me.But honestly folks, I do have "asdf jkl;" embedded on my fingers -- you have to own this book -- it is practically my new Bible -- on my nightstand, right next to that list of web sites I thinkof in my sleep that I must visit.OK, OK, so I am not as funny as they are -- but check this out -- you will totally love it. ... Well, you can do it humorously, subtley and tactfully with this book.It does not contain any literature, but color pictures on each page, which depict characters smoking during many daily activities, such as reading the paper. Each illustration is sure to give you a chuckle.Besides being a great coffee table book and a conversation piece, it could save somebody's larynx! ... It is food recipes only, nothing about breaking into computers. Not that I would ever do such a thing, I am a law abiding citizen that really loves my Government. I feel victim of a questionable marketing tactic.Wasteof money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Welcome Back, Miss Switch!
Everyone's favorite witch is back, and the many fans of author Barbara Brooks Wallace are welcoming Miss Switch's return with open and eager arms.5-0 out of 5 stars A fantasy that could happen
I like stories where I could be the main character, like Rubert in this book.Rubert doesn't have magic powers and I don't have them.If Rubert did he wouldn't need Miss Switch.I wish I had a teacher like Miss Switch. She is scary and funny. This book is fun and I am telling my friends about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Old jokes, but funny......
The best part of the whole book is seeing which "keys" change on every page.... otherwise, it's a pretty funny book, but you do have to know what was going on when the book was written to get the jokes.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor all lies
very poor book.My ex-wife had to have written it

4-0 out of 5 stars Humor at its Creative Best
This is the book you take with you to read in the waiting room at the doctor's office; otherwise, don't waste your time. The book's premise, albeit juvenile and narrow-minded, is an anchor for Beard and the gang tospin out some of the most creative stuff this reader's ever seen. (Anddon't let the laptop-style layout fool you--look closely at the keyboard onevery page and you'll find irregularities in the keys.) ... Read more

Editorial Review

Back in the golden days (pre-1990), Internet books were deadly serious tomes filled with lists of line-mode FTP commands, hair-splitting essays on why BITNET was not part of the Internet, appendices filled with lists of RFCs and the contact phone numbers for hooking up your large university to one of the 13 NSFNet sponsored regional networks. Dialup providers were non-existent, and so were Net-humor books. Read more
