Very smart
I read Charley Parker's "Dinosaur Cartoons" andwanted to see what else he did.This book is beautiful. And the website, zark.com is spectacular.A must-read and a must-see.

Great tech book
I worked with Tim at what is now Client Logic/Service Zone, Lake City, Florida and know the stories that come from tech support. This was a great book I did see a few of my calls in there as well so that made it real funny to me. Once again Great Book must have for all end users to know what they sound like.
You've seen all this before
If you've read anything online about Tech Support and dumb computer users, then you'll already read this book. I think i'm the tech in some of these lol
Tim was a level 2 tech where I work. Some of these stories are straight from there. This book should be shipped with every computer with a disclaimer that reads:Unless you can honestly say that you will not be a canidate for the sequel of this book and are not under the effects of alcohol or medication and none of the walls are padded in the room you're in do not call technical support you will be transferred to the id10t (pronounced- eye dee ten tee) queue. :P Read more

This book got me through the Y2K crisis
Boy am I ever glad I had this book. When society collapsed at midnight 12/31/99, I was the only one in my neighborhood who was prepared. When the power went out, phone service stopped, water shut off, and planes startedfalling out of the sky, I was unafraid, as I knew what to do! Give this to a friend!
I am into Y2K big time but can't get my friends to listen to me. I felt frustrated until I got them to read this book. It's not threatening at all.The humor helps get the message across as well as offer some good ideas.

Useful for the clueless; useless for the Y2K-savvy

I'd love to see a sequel!
Grant and Olinger write beautifully.They play off of one another in a way that is sparklingly easy and fun to read.It was a great deal like reading the transcript from a good comedy in some sections.I liked thebook very much and felt as though I was saying goodbye to two new friendsI'd grown very fond of when it ended.WRITE US A SEQUEL GUYS!

A truly enjoyable book
At first, I thought that He Mail/She Mail would be about the conflicts between the genders, but I was very wrong. Instead, it is a delightful and insightful book about the benefits of "anonymous" communicationon the Internet where feelings and thoughts can be stated and expressed w/oanxiety. This collection is the most imaginative concept for one that I have seen done by New Yorker cartoon editor, Robert Mankoff.Unfortunately, the selection of the cartoons failed to take into account the rapid advance in computer savvy and awareness.So cutting edge cartoons of 1996 often seem like ancient history in 2001.On the other hand, the book contains a CD-ROM to allow you to have a digital copy of each cartoon.You are allowed as much noncommercial use as you want. 100 Retro Cartoons for the Internet
Internet years are like dog years, so this book is really 28 years old (originally published in 1996 using cartoons BEFORE 1996). The cartoons are as amusing as 28 year old NEW YORKER cartoons would be. The book includesmy favorite Internet classic, "On the Internet, nobody knows you're adog." Release is given to use these cartoons for personal use -commercial use without permission is explicitly prohibited. You get 100 NEWYORKER type cartoons in black and white in the book. On the CD, you get 100GIF files duplicated in both black and white and in color. There are threedifferent directories (Show, Print, Email). Most pictures are about 50k(min is 11k, max is 215k).
