Nice
My book arrived within five days of placing my order, which was wonderful because I started class the very next day. There was some writing in it as described, but I don't care because it's a book, and as long as I can read the text, that's all that's really important. Anyway, the book was in great condition, it was the right edition, and it's easy to read. Thanks for the great service!

Grace is a loud mouth airhead.
The woman just yells and tells people they are idiots both in this book and on her CNN show, She offers no helpful suggestions, she is just a loud mouth airhead nothing else.

Nancy is both ignorant and opinionated--an appalling combo
Nancy is so blinded by her agenda--attacking defense attorneys and defendants--that she manipulates or ignores facts that are contrary to her extreme views.I have rarely heard anything worthwhile come out of her mouth on CourtTV, and this book is no different.I hope readers (and CourtTV viewers) who are less informed about the judicial system (I am a lawyer) realize not to take anything she says at face value. ... Still Relevant After 100 Years
Francis Wellman first published this book in 1903 and despite the passage of over 100 years, the book is nearly as relevant then as it is today.
Not just for lawyers
Putting aside the overt racism contained in this book first published in 1903, this book, which was reading material my wife picked up at the University of Virginal School of Law, gives us an entertaining and eye-opening vista into the Ciceronian art of winning trials at the courts of law.Written primarily by several prominent New York City attorneys, many of its sections, joyfully reveling in the destructive power of masterfully twisted perceptions fed to lay jurors, are egregious far beyond any dispassionate, plain-spoken Machiavellian ethics.In addition to its lessons on the value of perception, The Art of Cross-Examination serves up a menu of time-tested techniques for extracting truth from liars, ridiculing expert witnesses, the use of anger, sympathy, empathy, humor, taciturnity, loquaciousness, etcetera that trial attorneys steeped in Cicero should find quite useful for years yet to come.
Lots of pages with little to offer
I read this book after reading McElhaney's Trial Notebook.After reading the first book this one read so slowly, with so much wordage that I found it impossible to read.Not worth the money or the time. ... Read more

On a Scale of 1-5, This Book is a 10
You don't generally think of books like this as "page-turners", but I could not put it down.In Extreme Facilitation, Suzanne Ghais has moved away from the cookbook (techniques-based) view of facilitation found in many other books and training materials, and has captured the core principles that underlie successful facilitation in extreme situations.For example -- there are no "difficult" people in a group; rather "difficult" behaviors reflect needs or interests that have not yet been identified or adequately addressed.Once these needs or interests are understood by the group and dealt with, the "difficulty" usually passes.
A WEALTH OF GOOD IDEAS, ILLUSTRATIVE STORIES, & USEFUL INSIGHTS!
The author has produced an extremely comprehensive and well written book on facilitating in the most challenging situations. Such situations call for more depth, adaptability and strategy than is addressed in other books on facilitation; this book's aim is to provide powerful, highly focused guidelines for the toughest facilitation challenges.

Ok book but File System Forensic is better
I liked this book, but it is scattered in its topics.A lot of the information can be found online, and the tools aren't what we use on a daily basis.I'm not sure if any of them are commercial tools in this book.
Best incidence reponse book out
This is no doubt the best incidence reponse book out. I highly recommend this for anyone either in the field, learning to get into the field, or running a small to medium sized company without a team of experts. My entire network admin team uses this as a reference at the side of their desk.

Excellent basic reference
I read the book in about three days and found it to be a good primer for one leaning towards computer forensics.While some of the technology and tools described in the book will undoubtedly change within the next few months, a lot of the basic principles will remain pertinent for a long time to come.I heartily recommend this book for anyone with more than just a casual interest in Computer Security. ... Pretty good
Earl Warren was Chief Justice for 16 years, from 1953-69.he presided over Brown v. Board of Education, the most important case in US history.this book brilliantly portrays the Chief Justice.

Great Man, Great Book
Earl Warren grew up in Bakersfield, California. To those of you who've been there, it seems an unlikely place to beget one of the great justices of the 20th century who was known for his ability to continue to mold and change his ideas. However, this comprehensive and excellent biography of Earl Warren, Governor of California and 14th Chief Justice of the United States, shows that he turned out far from where he might have been expected to wind up.
The best biography of the most controversial chief justice
For those who have even heard of Earl Warren he is solely identified as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Ed Cray's wonderful biography clearly shows that he was much more than simply a judge, he was a seminal political figure during the mid-20th century. Cray presents Warren's rise to political stardom in clear and lively terms. Warren represented the progressive wing of the Republican party and was so popular as Govenor of California that he defeated FDR's son after the war and was even the nominee of both parties in one of his elections. Beyond his service in California, Cray also demonstrates just how close Warren came to the oval office when he ran as VP with Thomas Dewey, who would likely have won the election had he followed Warren's advice. Exquisitely Cogent Primer
Mr. Goodman's book is the finest quick primer for a new arbitrator I have ever read.For virtually anyone familiar with any type of legal procedure or mediation, the book lays out the differences specific to Arbitration.Mr. Goodman has arranged the book, so that he presents the answers to the 100 most commonly asked questions about Arbitration.
Two Thumbs Up For Judge Goodman's Book for New Arbitrators!
As a new volunteer arbitrator for my local bar association, I found Judge Goodman's book to be indispensable in acquiring the skills and expertise for this new task.His experience in this field are excellent and he uses this experience in a question and answer format which lends itself to an easy, but extremely effective format, for new, as well as experienced, arbitrators.His hints and tips give new arbitrators the guidance and confidence necessary to lead an effective, but expedient, arbitration.This is the number one book for those new to arbitration, or those needing a review of arbitration methods and techniques.

Book Fills in the Gaps Left by Arbitrator Trainings
I first purchased and read Judge Goodman's Basic Skills For the New Arbitrator in 1994 when I began arbitrating.Having just finished reading the most recent edition, I am struck by the continuing usefulness of the detailed and practical advice contained in this book.While I have participated in arbitrator trainings over the years, they usually do not cover the nitty gritty "how to" issues this work addresses.These issues are easy to find as the Table of Contents is organized into sections devoted to each stage of an arbitration with an enumeration, under each heading, of all the questions addressed.Judge Goodman's style is clear and concise which makes the book a quick and easy read.It seems directed primarily at non-lawyers, but many lawyers, such as myself, will find in it their money's worth of advice.Personally, as much of my practice is devoted to mediation, I find reviewing the book helpful when I need to switch hats and assume a judicial (as opposed to a mediator's) demeanor.His advice in this regard, touching on body language, facial expression, and utterances, is invaluable in cultivating the proper persona of the neutral arbitrator.I highly recommend this thoughful, easy-to-read book to anyone who is starting to engage in arbitration and for those for whom it is not a weekly endeavor. ... Excellent Study Aid
This lecture covers all the major topics tested on the MBE and most likely your Evidence course. Professor Rossi's explanations of the rules are clear enough to understand while driving your car.His hypotheticals to help explain the rules actually appear in a few of the practice multiple choice questions I did and may appear on your exam (as they did on mine).What's more, the hypotheticals truly develop the rules, and Professor Rossi makes them funny and strange so that they'll stick in your head come exam time. Actually, a few times I burst out laughing from the hypotheticals (guess it doesn't take much to humor a stressed-out law student). The more I listened to this lecture the more my understanding of the subject grew. Well worth the time and money spent.

First-class evidence review
While I agree with first reviewer that more reference to FRE rules by number would be helpful, I think this gets 5 stars. Helping it all to come together. And this lecturer is mildly entertaining, so this is not QUITE as dull as it could be. Highly recommended.

Well done, and interesting.
Overall, this set of CDs is well done. Professor Rossi is interesting, well-spoken, and keeps the listener interested for what can be a dry subject. He uses examples that are coherent and consistent and easy to understand and his pacing is well-suited to taking notes, though it would help if you can type--I can't.
