A funny, non-serious book for car lovers!
MAN!!I had no idea of what was in store for me when I picked this book from the shelf.I read one page that was kinda funny and I thought it would be good.It turned out the it was so hilarious I was laughing so hard I could barely breath!!!I read the whole book in one day, and I loved it.The sheer stupidity of the book made it even more funny, with jokes about using engine parts to serve food and laying your tongue across the car battery terminals to test the battery.It had a wacky crossword puzzle that only the author could figure out because the clues made no sense, and that made it more funny.I would definately recommend this book. The information presented in the book is solid, with great detail provided about each of the campsites.We look forward to seeing many of them.The book could be better organized though.In order to find a particular site, you need to follow a 3-4 step process through maps and keys.This shouldn't keep anyone from buying the book, but we hope the next edition is a bit easier to digest. ... Sometimes laugh out loud funny, sometimes tedious and maudlin
This book on tape, read by Al Roker himself is a mixed bag. There are laugh out loud moments and sweet moments, but generally speaking the book has too many filler moments, WAY too much information about his second wife's attempts to get pregnant and sometimes is sickeningly sentimental. The last half of the book saves the first half from being a total disaster.

a favorite
By now, I've probably read this book three or four times.Although the beginning was a bit boring, a couple of chapters in I got really into it.All of it was told with a bit of a funny tint.You can tell he loves his kids through it!

HILARIOUS! A MUST HAVE!
This is a wonderful idea! I hope there is a Part 2 coming up?SAY YES! I laughed until I wet myself! I admire anyone that can just look around and find humor in everything. Fantastic! I would have gave the book a 10 but they made me stop at 5. :( To the guy that rated this book a 1.
This Book is Packed with Great Ideas!!!
I loved this book, it is full of great idea's for license plates and there is a plate in the book for everyone and every car. I think having a vanity plate is a great way to express yourself and personality. Thank's for the laughter! By the way John Sullivan you sound a little bitter, jealous you didn't come up with the idea first???? Get over it!!!!

Funny and poetic
PL8SPK ("Platespeak") is an amazing book, a wonder of a book, a book that looks at vanity license plates and sees, quite literally, poetry in motion.
Completely Amazing!!
I went to Florida with a friend.We stayed at her Grandmother's.I got to sleep on the couch.Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep that first night.There, sitting on the coffee table was a copy of this book (whichhad the most original cover, that I've ever seen).Once I picked it up, Icouldn't put it down.It was so cleverly written, that it was thehighlight of my trip (Disney was cool too, though).Ever since, I've beentrying to locate a copy for myself (that was over 5 years ago).This bookmust be re-issued, and given the marketing it deserves!!

A superb and greatly appreciated giftbook choice

Disappointed
Many of the campgrounds in this book are, in fact easily accessable to RVs and 2 wheel drive vehicles.I expected it to cover more out of the way, difficult to get to campgrounds, where campers have peace and quiet.I was disappointed to not find any undiscovered, little known campgrounds. It does give fairly good information about things to do in the areas where the campgrounds are located. But if you're looking for some ideas on places to tent camp, might as well just buy "Colorado Campgrounds, the 100 best".It has great pictures so you can really get an idea of what the campgrounds are like and most of the campgrounds mentioned in "The best tent camping" are also found in "The 100 best".

A good basic book for beginners
My 12 year old son and I just started into RC model trucks and this book is a very informative start. It covers the basics of both electric and gas models. If Rog only wrote that book 30 years ago
When I started reading the book, only few moment passed before laughed so the bed was shaking. Couldn't help shouting YES! several times. Tried to tell her what was so right and so funny. All I got was The Look and The Sigh. She don't understand why there's this 3 ton pice of metal where she could park her car. This book should be mandatory for all male above the age of 13. If you don't understand the woman in your life get Roger's book - period.

A must for anyone camping in TN
This book is excellent. The author lives in East Tennessee and has spent untold hours in the woods of this state. His detailed account of each campsite is a wonderful resource for those wanting to go camping away from it all. He details many sites which I would not have known exist if I hadn't bought this book. The layout of is great, with a 1-5 star rating of each campsite's privacy, spaciousness, quiet, security, and beauty. Also included is a (semi) detailed map of the campsite itself.
Excellent Resource
As an avid camper, although one who seems to have less and less time to camp the older I get, I often buy guidebooks to steer me in the direction of destinations I may find interesting. Usually I am disappointed, either by the format of the book, the accuracy of details, or the quantity of info. Molloy has surpassed my expectations. The book is user friendly, accurate in detail (I've been to many of the sites reviewed, and now plan to go to many others with this as my guide), and the quantity of sites reviewed will fill many many trips. It would be very easy to plan an entire trip using nothing but this gem. Way to go Molloy, I'll definitely check out your other guides in the future.

THE camping 411 for Tennessee!
Just what I was looking for! I live in Middle Tennessee and was surprised at the tent camping places in my own backyard that I didn't even know about.The easy directions and important information like camping rates, opening and closing times, and a detailing of all the fun activities at each campground, really make life easier. Diagnostic advice mixed with humor
Click and Clack diagnosed my intermittant start-up problem in about 2 minutes, via this book. A Disappointing Read
This book could be half as long as it is if all the failed attempts at being funny were removed. The authors seem more concerned with trying to amuse their readers than with providing them with helpful information. While some good information exists within the book, it's buried among lame attempts at humor. I found myself being annoyed over and over again by these unfunny intrusions. Laughed hard enough that I shouldn't have been driving!
Great stories of the guys vs gals and a wonderful throw in on a college students response to a candidate college! My only complaint would be that the tape was too short only about an hour of entertainment, but a greathour!!!And if you need a good mechanic in Boston this tape has the perfectguy for you - really!! ...
