Boring with a splatter of humor
I was hoping to read some really cool stories about people's experiences out on the trail.While to an extent that happens, the stories are very boring and seemingly written by a non-writer.There are some really dumb stories as well.For example, there is one that deals with a black hole that a rider rides through and defeats some type of dragon (yes, I said dragon).There is another story about some guy who finds himself stranded on the trail and eventually finds himself making love to an environmentalist woman.Maybe you would enjoy this book more than I.I simply did not get it. ... Whatever you call 'em, ya gotta love 'em!
Tom and Ray Magliozzi (aka Click and Clack) are classic examples of the fact that NPR and talk radio can't always be easily categorized.While most NPR stations spend the majority of their time playing classical music, every Saturday morning Bach gets pushed to the side for a heavy of Click and Clack.And while most talk radio hosts seem to take themselves way too seriously, Tom and Ray never let anyone (including themselves) get away with anything.If you or someone you know has never heard "Car Talk", get ahold of these tapes.You'll be laughing before you know it!

One of the best things you can shove into your tape player

Unsatisfied
While I did finish reading this book, I'm not sure why. I didn't find it very amusing.
Fun, Addictive Story About California Through Scottish Eyes
It's a tale of the author's travels from Scotland to the Silicon Valley.Originally, Donegan came to the Bay Area was to work at a friend's business, but after finding that opportunity to be less than desirable, he supported himself and his girlfriend in one of the most American of occupations, a used car salesman.What really makes the story unique is that this story of chasing the American dream is retold through the perspective of a Scot, and a pretty clever and witty one at that.
