If you are looking for a good EMT book, I would take my business over to the Brady series.Did the editor actually look at this thing?I would have to say no!Forget about it, move on.

For the most part the book is very educational & easy to follow. Although there are many misspelled words, wrong or conflicting answers. Also, many topic areas taught aren't the way it is in the "real" world.To me it didn't look like the auther did much proof reading priorto it being published. Hopefully, there'll be a better book on the marketsoon. ... Read more

Applying Career Development theory to Counseling
I was pleased with the product, however I was very disappointed that it took so long to be shipped to me. I got behind in my class readings because my textbook didn't get to me for over 2 weeks after I ordered it. Was that because I used the free shipping option?

good book
i skimmed through this book and was very impressed. it pointed out to me how i should mentor as well as pointing out how i should be mentored. i learned what has been missing in the mentoring that i receive. i am hoping that it will help me ask for the type of mentoring that i want and need.

The Perfect Gift
This is a valuable book.These authors have managed to distill a very broad topic into easily applied principles.As both a mentor and protege I am grateful for this book. I am now ordering this book as a gift for all my favorite mentors in my Harvard post-doctoral program.I recommend you do the same for those menotors in your life.

Already The Classic Guide to Mentoring
As the Chief Operating Officer for a large medical technology company, I have mentored many junior professionals for years. But until now, I've never found a guide on the art of mentoring that lays out the specific details and skills mentors should master. Imagine my delight at discovering a short but comprehensive resource for everything a new mentor should learn and a seasoned mentor should reconsider. The authors promise a "nuts and bolts" guide to doing mentoring based on the writing style of the classic "Elements of Style" guide to grammar. The authors do not disappoint on this score. Amazingly, they manage to cover all of the key ingredients to outstanding mentoring without resorting to stories or wordy narrative. In reading the "Elements of Mentoring," one gets the sense that he or she is gleaning the distilled wisdom of two master mentors. The book is brief but jam-packed with the crucial details of starting a good mentorship, managing it successfully, and even bringing it through difficult transitions. I was impressed that the authors (both college profs) used lots of research in putting the book together (see the references) without cluttering the pages with it. I am not a frequent Amazon reviewer, but after reading this thorough but brief resource, recommending it to several colleagues, and pulling it down from my shelf already to re-read a section relevant to one of my current subordinates, I felt compelled to recommend it to other managers and leaders. Activate Your Training
Mel Silberman is the master of active training. Just skimming his book gave me a handful of new ideas I applied to my training. Reading the book helped me to revamp my training courses to include many more participatory training exercises.

Excellent Resource
This book was the text my instructor assigned in an interpersonal communication class I took a few years ago. It is very readable, as are all books by the Coreys. It covers a wide range of topics and it uses case examples to illustrate the points. It isn't a counselling book in terms of having alot of exercises on questioning or empathy. It does discuss counselling skills, but it is more concerned with the worker's personal development, in terms of ethics, self-awareness, self-care, etc. The suggested activities at the end of the chapter really help the learning process. So much information in such a small space. Best of its Kind.
Belden is the king of cables and Stephen Lampen is a Belden Kingpin. This book is one-of-a-kind and is a must for anyone working with, or even remotely interested in audio, video, data and/or CATV cabling. It is essential, fundamental knowledge about using cables.
Not for the novis.
I purchased this product with a novis knowledge of electronics. I could not understand one page. If you are a novis this is not the book for you.

A First Rate Guide
Within its sphere of discussion, this is the best reference manual of its type. There is a lot not here concerning RF and power, but it's not an RF or power book. Used 5th edition in Digital Elec class
My professor used the 5th edition in the Digital Elec class many years ago. I write software but have been trying to make the transition to logic design ... picked up the latest edition for refresher
Magnificent book to understand Digital Electronics !
This is the best book to understand Digital Electronics with clear and simple explanations. The salient feature of this book is that it has lot of applications sprayed throughout which keeps the reader attentive and interested. A "Must Read" for graduate/undergraduate students in any university in the world.

Good for first year EECS program.
You can gain the basic digital logic design knowledge using this book in no time! that is not always sufficient for people who wants to get A grade rather you can just make it your introduction and so soon move to part two (that is up to your current course).Read more

Textbook or Reference for someone on the beginning.
I didn't buy this book and I'm glad I didn't. I'm not much of a textbook reader and this is definitely it. Contains basic details about things you should know but if you're really into skincare and have read too many books before this one, this is not the book for you. It should be for someone on the Skin Care 101 or someone looking for a reference book. So bad coz I'd really want to like it.

I received a wonderful new book in a timely manner, except that it could have been wrapped more securely.Box was big and not well padded and had been bumped during delivery and box arrived open.Mail carrier had to hand deliver and wondered if anything was missing.Please package more carefully!

THE supervision text
It is easy to see why Fundamentals of Clinical Supervision is so frequently referred to as THE supervision text. Bernard and Goodyear successfully synthesize a vast (and growing) amount of multidisciplinary supervision literature into a single comprehensive source. The book is well written, and organized such that it makes for easy referencing. Each of the 12 chapters presents an in-depth examination of both seminal and contemporary writing related to clinical supervision. While the `Supervisor's toolbox' serves as a welcome resource for graduate students and new supervisors, the thorough presentation of the most up-to-date theoretical and empirical work informs seasoned supervisors and educators alike.

This book was okay.It seemed like a lot of common sense but also seemed like a good book for begining supervisors.
