Nonsense. Skip this one!
This book is garbage. I was excited to see that one of the 19 books written about road rage actually purported to describe and explain patterns in the causes of road rage, rather than focusing exclusively on solutions and ways to avoid getting hurt. Instead, I got a fistful of neither. Think twice!
I found this to be an excellent book toward getting you thinking twice about yours and others behavior on the road.Gary McKay is very straightforward about how one small little gesture or incident can end up very costly.If this book doesn't make you change the way you drive I don't know what will.

This book really works!You will drive different!
We all have had those feelings of anger on the road sometimes when somebody cuts us off or for whatever reason makes us mad.For me, after reading this book, I now understand how a bad attitude while driving can bedangerous for everyone involved. This book tells true stories and theresults of different road rage incidences from all around the country, andthen talks of what causes it today. It also offers some "while you aredriving safety tips".I recommend this book for any teenager who isjust learning to drive or maybe for your wife/husband who tends to be tooshort tempered or aggressive on the road.I know I now drive moreconscious of what can happen if I allow someone to make me too mad,or tointimidate me, and will not even look at them if I know that they are, forsome reason, mad at me. I just let them go by.We just don't think of howdangerous of a situation we are in while traveling 60-70 miles per hourbecause we feel safe...deadly things can occur too quickly while travelingthat fast. Parents and Teens:Don't Miss This One
"Road Rules" takes the knowledge base needed to drive safely and distills it down to a format easily read and understood.As the mother of four adolescents, my main goal in life in to help them all arrive at age 21 alive.I found the book extremely helpful, and one my children are actually willing to read as well. The book is organized in five sections:Things You Should Always Do, Things You Should Never Do, Maintenance Makes a Difference, Better Safe than Sorry, and An Ounce of Common Sense. Rules include everything from driving behind a truck so that you can see the truck's sideview mirror, to lowering the antenna before pulling into a car wash, to never picking up a hitchhiker. There are many more --- things we mean to mention to our teens before they take the wheel, but don't always remember to say."Road Rules" is well worth the investment --- don't miss it!

Perfect gift for new drivers!
I was thrilled to find the perfect gift for the all important sixteenth birthday!This book is filled with a lot of common sense - but not necessarily the common sense most people under the age of 30 have.I read the book through in a short amount of time and was reminded of a few things that bear being reminded of when it comes to auto safety.It's a cute book and is a fun and thoughtful gift for anyone who is a new driver.It's a good read for any driver. ...
