The only BMW 6 series book worrth buying.
This book is the most up to date one on the market.The only problem is that it tends to focus on alot of the european models.The BMW Buyers Guide from Fred Larimer is more useful on US models.

Amateurish drivel
Having worked on a number of 6-Series cars, I can confidently say that this book is average at best, toilet paper at worst. Thorough
Given the fact that this is the only book available (to my knowledge) on the great BMW E24 6 series, it is a must for fans. Apart from that, there is heaps of info on all the different models and on BMW history. Jeremy Walton has certainly his share of research. There are just a few things that I would like to have read about/improved, but these things are just minor things. Some topics are not covered in chronological order, which makes it a bit confusing. The good things about this book is that is covers cars manufactured for both the American market as well as the European market (although I get the impression that mr. Walton focusses more on the English market), so it is a good read both sides of the atlantic. Bearing that in mind, most numbers are given in American and European units. Good stuff! ... Read more

If you're a Triumph enhusiast, get this one!
The 2000 and 2500 was probably the biggest international success that Triumph had, and therefore this account of their history will have wide appeal. It tells the whole story of the car's history, from its developmentstages, to its production life. An interesting chapter is about the Zebuproject, which was later abandoned, because it echoed the reverse-sloperear window seen in the very successful Ford Anglia 105 E. It is because ofthese, and other previously-unknown facts that this book is so highlyrecommended. Graham Robson knows these cars like nobody else, mainlybecause he worked for Triumph for many years. Some people might say thatthis makes him biased, but it is better to have the comments by someone whowitnessed every stage of the car's development than those of someone whodid not. However, there is one small point of criticism from a SouthAfrican point of view. South Africa was the first country to introduce atwin-carburettor version of the 2,5 named the Chicane, and hardly anymention is made of this model. The author knows what is going on in SouthAfrica, judging by previous books he has written, and for this reason, thisis a surprising oversight. Despite this criticism, this book must be ratedas a mandatory purchase for anybody who has owned these cars. For Britishcar enthusiasts, this is a very interesting read, and it just shows that,with the demise of Triumph,enthusiasts have been deprived of what mighthave been a deadly BMW rival. ... Read more

GOOD IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER BMW
Interesting reading, but geared more to the older cars

Enthusiasts guide review - for older cars
Found many of the articles dated over ten years old and where some withstand the test of time, most are relative to the older, now very used cars.
Good for "old school"
This is a well established book with a very credible track record, however, it is misleading having the hood of a BMW E36 on the cover. The E36 is a modern BMW by all standards; this book has about three two-paragraph articles on that car while all the other stories and pages pertain to the E30 (1983-1992) and earlier cars.If you are the owner or if you are fascinated with how to work on cars older than 15 years, this book is for you. ... Informative, very well written
This book is very well-written.Out of all the books available, this book contained every piece of information that I needed.

The first repair book I ever owned!
This is the very first book that my father bought for me. I learned all about fixing cars while using this volume to keep my 1967 Olds Cutlass running. Not for beginners...
This book is a great start to give ideas to Miata owners of the enhancement potential of their cars. The book assumes a good fundamental knowledge of cars and starts from that base. The projects range from the mild to the wild - yet always staying within the property of enhancing the Miata; not turning it into what it is not. Miata enthusiasts will find the book a delight to read, even if none of the projects are done. Well-written, easy to follow, and the author does a good job of encouraging owners to take that first step to personalize this beautiful car.

Easy to use
This is a fun way to learn Italian while driving.We haven't used the book much yet, but the CD is informative and not annoying.Everyone can learn together.Even my four year old walks around saying Italian phrases!

Wonderful!
I was amazed at how quickly my children (and my husband!) picked up on the lessons featured in this CD- and retained them!When debating about sending them to Italian school, we bought a couple of similar CD's just to test their acceptance and willingness to learn and this CD beat the others hands down. Factually correct. Almost
This book started out looking really good. It is full of some of the best pictures of BMW 5-series cars I have seen in a single collection. Incomplete Story
The book title is incorrect because the story contained within is not complete.There is no mention of the different styles of ventilation control housings underneath the center of the dash panels, in E28 5 series BMW.Illustrations on pages 75, 80 and 96 show different styles E28 vent control and a/c housings, however there is no mention of these differences in any of the text.Appropriate additions should be included in all future editions of an otherwise excellent 5er book.

Toyota Production system (TPS)
Excellent book. Highly recommond for any one who would like to know "What is TPS?". As you see in this book one can try to copy a system but to understand and implement the philosophy behind such a system is very very difficult. Once you start reading it you will not put it down till you finish.
