Interesting book. nice anecdotes.all the physics one might want to know is included in there too..
A very friendly book!
From the first glance, I liked that book much! It is written in a very friendly tone, clear language! It begins with a large chapter about the driving position; there are lots of photos with the right and wrong poses, with analysis of each case. The evolution of the correct driving position is also exposed. Then goes a chapter about power, torque and when to change the gear to achieve different goals: fuel economy, engine lifetime, maximum speed. After that there is a section about the correct braking and pedaling.
Great book for drivers of all levels!
Although this book is clearly geared towards people with experience, there are pages dedicated to how to adjust your seat and the mirrors, when and how to brake, using the accelerator for best effect, etc. Everyone can learn something (or a lot) new from this book! ... Read more

Revised in 2005
This title has now been extensively revised by the author and the editorial expertise of Robert BentleyPublishers. Unfortunately major pagination changes were not possible, but over 100 man editorial hours in the USA and UK went into an unannounced overhaul--still not acknowledged in the printing history-- which concentrated on factual revisions.

The book to own and to read for the real 356-fanatic
112 pages and lots of very nice photographs (about 200), all in colour. The text is nicely wrapped around the photographs. The photographs are all especially made for this book, so they are all new and unpublishedbefore. Great photos of a classic!
This book has very nice pictures of the 356.There are, however, few of the US specification Porsche.The book, being a British publication, has a lot of photos of cars produced for the UK market.There are some reallybeautiful cars to drool over in here!

Fun and substantial

This book is invaluable to MBZ lovers.It is written with love and experience and knowledge.If you've seen the others in this series (BMW, Jaguar, Corvette, Porsche, etc.) they simply don't compare in quality.The photos are terrific; the advice honest. Need to see foreign words in print as well
This tape covers most important phrases and words for functional Italian. I found it difficult to process and pronounce the words by only hearing them. A visual is needed to complement this tape for us visual learners.

Just returned from Italy
These CDs were an excellent preparation for both my husband and me during last month's trip to Italy. The "asking for directions" lesson was especially helpful as we rented a car and had to find our way along many rural roads in Southern Italy. The bonus audiobook, "Secrets of Learning a Foreign Language," was surprisingly helpful. It offered many tips that I had never heard before, even during college Spanish courses.

excellent photography
This is a great book with many stunning photographs. There are lots of rare and old BMWs featured, and each one is represented with multiple photographs, including large photos spanning two pages. A really great book for the price. Informative text in three languages.

A Photohistorian's Delight
BMW is simply a classy tribute to the art and science of automotive design. The photographs (contemporary and archival) are beyond compare; any photographer could learn about lighting and design by studying the photos that "make" this book. The historical narrative is engaging and extremely well organized.The book itself is of solid construction and well bound; the dust jacket is magificently simplistic in rich blue with the distinctive roundel as the focal point.Paper quality is top grade, heavy-weight with gloss finish. A perfect gift for any car enthusiast!

Save your money
A fair read. Author talks too much about his military days, and I am sure there are better driving books out there. There is more basic security concerns directed towards females written in this book then actual driving techniques. Save your money and buy a different driving book, unless you are giving this to your mom or wife who problay wouldn't like to read this anyway. There was like 1 or 2 interesting chapters realted to driving in here, not enough in my opinion to warrant buying the whole book.

A reasonable guide to TPFI.
Even though this book is 80 pages it does cover enough aspects of TPFI to understand the basics.If you were rebuilding any pre-TPFI chev small block and wanted to modify it with TPFI then this book is a good place to start.

This is what perfect looks like--but not a real guide
This book is an absolute gem.It is a coffee table kind of book, with glorious detailed color photographs of the most extraordinary restored MGBs is the world.The book is inspirational and delightful in every possible way, and I could not do without it.

This is an excellent book, and I recommend it to everyone who owns and/or loves MGBs. Message to previous poster --deal with it!
Well it seems that some of us don't like the way Mr. Clausager, who, in BMHIT circles is regarded as an authority, writes.My advice would be to get over it.Mr. Clausager has spent countless hours researching and writing about some of the world's most loved automobiles.The compromises that these automakers had to make just to satisfy the U.S.' federal regulations could be seen to bastardise the "original" designs of these cars.Unfortunately, the previous poster can't get over that fact.Read more

If you are interested in original 911s, this is a must-have!
This is one of the best books about classic Porsche 911s available. Itprovides detailed information and pictures of the specs (incl. interior& exterior trim, engine, available colors, option-lists and many more)of all 911 series. You want to know, which model exactly you are lookingat, next time you see a classic 911? Read this book and you'll know.

Beautiful color pictures with good summary of model changes
I really enjoy this book and come back to it for an enjoyable evening read.The book is organized by engine size (and separate chapter for Turbos of all years).The color photos are great.Published in England (printed in Hong Kong) with many photos of rh drive as well as lh drive cars. Does not include as many cosmetic details/differences as Mark Haab's book, but the well-written text covers the major functional changes and then a summary at the end of each chapters lists options, colors, chassis number ids, and the production data for each year and model.

Good overlook of Porsche 911 Car History
This book presents a good overview (facts, models, pictures) of the Porsche 911 since its creation until mid 90's. It does include some vehicle numbers and performance data. well done
Dr Sundaram's book is filled with understanding and obvious experience. She offers comprehensive solutions to skin problems and gives multiple alternatives to skin care that do not just sell her products - for example she offers an inexpensive alternative skin care plan to products that may be purchased with a dermatologist only. As someone with scarring/skin care issues, I felt she really puts herself in the patient's shoes. I highly recommend this book!
