A lot better than the first
This is the second book in the circle trilogy.Like the first book, Morrigan's Cross, it starts off slow and if I could deduct 1/2 a point for that I would.But it makes up for it as it goes on.This is Larkin (a shape shifter) and Blair's (a vampire slayer)story. They are two of the six selected by Morrigan to form a circle and destroy a Vampire Queen Lilith, before she destroys the world.Besides the budding romance between Larkin and Blair this book has the 6 going back to the land of Geall to prepare for the fight that has to take place on Samhain.There are some minor battles fought and more character development in this one.It really makes you anxious to read the final installment, Cian and Moiras story. Nora blends fantasy and reality nicely.A fun story.

A little closer attention to detail please...
After reading fantasy and sci-fi for the last 30 years, I consider myself rather well-read in the genre.Lately, as my taste has expanded to include urban fantasy, I have found quite a few authors who can make an alternate reality real.Alas, Book 2 of Nora Roberts doesn't make the cut.As a romance writer, NR probably creates reasonable story lines that actually make some sense.Dance of the Gods asks for total suspense of disbelief and then a willingness to exploit a genre for the sake of making some money.
What a fun book!
I'm having such fun with this trilogy!I like it much better than her previous ones that have involved aspects of fantasy such as the In the Garden or Key trilogies.These characters have me hooked and I can't wait to see what happens next!Larkin is so darned cute and him and Blair together just made me laugh out loud several times throughout this book.She almost reminded me of Eve Dallas with her kick-butt attitude and long leather coat.Nora has done such a great job balancing out the darkness in this trilogy with love, hope and light and it makes this book truly a joy to read.I am counting the days until Valley of Silence comes out and I can read Cian and Moira's story.He's become my favorite character and a book focused on him should make for some intense reading indeed.This whole trilogy is definitely worth reading! Rick Evans Latest Novel A Winner
Finding Noel grabbed my attention from the very first chapter.As a devoted Evans reader, I found this book one of his best, matching it closely with his first, A Christmas Box.

One of my favorites
"Angels Fall" is one of my all-time favorite books by Nora Roberts. The characters are believable, the plot is full of suspense, and the setting is breathtaking. Once again, Nora Roberts does not disappoint when it comes to describing the lush mountain scenery.
She's the Master
Even though this is the first Nora Roberts' book I've reviewed, I'm a huge fan and have read almost all of her books.The only reason I didn't give this book five stars is because it's not as in depth as her other books - such as Northern Lights - one of my all time favorites.Don't get me wrong, Angels Fall wasn't lacking in any regard. I thoroughly enjoyed the characterization - impeccable as usual - Reece and Brody read like real people. The plot was intriguing and even though I wasn't too surprised when the "bad guy" was revealed, it didn't at all detract from a very enjoyable read.Nora Roberts seems to write effortlessly while sucking you into the story, making you feel as if you're watching it all unravel on the big screen.

The book was riveting in such that I couldn't put the book down even while working. The finding out what Reece was hiding and becoming a strong person because she wanted to live her life was excellent.The trust she had for Brody made the romance that was coming so believable.Excellent story. ... Not Typical Nora
I love Nora Roberts and have read most of her books...usually when a new one is released I rush right out to buy it.I have to say I was very disapointed in Morrigan's Cross.I had a difficult time getting into this book and it took me forever to read it...usually I get so hooked by her books, I can't put them down.I hope the second one in this series is not as disappointing!

Not her best...
I did not like this book.I couldn't even finish it and it was so disappointing because I always love Nora Roberts books.I hope after this trilogy she doesn't write anymore books like this, needless to say I won't be buying the other two books in the series.

Now that's what I'm talking about!
The only bad part about this book is it had to end! Red was conniving and dirty as they come in this scandalous tale of deceit and consequences. The narration really exemplified the story. It was almost like a good friend was giving you the scoop on what was going down. This wasn't your typical ghetto street saga either because the author has substance. She knows how to grab your attention and keep it. Based on the wild ending, I know a sequel will be hitting shelves in due time. Hopefully the wait won't be too long!^5.

Can't put it down...
I sometimes read urban books since I can relate a lot, and this was a fast read! Red was pathetic...if she'd been a go getter with some scruples I'd have liked her better....

So Dirty...So So Dirty
The title of this book definitly described who Red really is.I read this book in one day and was nowhere near being disappointed.Red did so many people "dirty" that there has to be a sequel to this, just to see what happens next.I don't want to sit here and give away any details, but I am sure that you will all agree with me that this book is (1) off the hook and (2) there needs to be a sequel.I mean it is only right!! ... MASTER OF STORIES
Lark McClure, is Tristan's great granddaughter and has not been a Maja herselffor very long, and with all the recent attacks and many being new recruits that are killed It has been ordered that each new recruit be put with one of more experienced of the warriors. And Lark is team with Gawain one of the original Knights of the round table, and who also has the love em and leave them reputation. But After a recent attack from a very powerful sorcerer vampire from the dark grail where Lark almost died because she wasn't strong enough or experienced enough she knew that in principle this made sense but she wasn't to sure about being up close and personal with a vampire right now, especially one with the body a god would envy and did he have to look at her as if she was his next meal...oh wait she could be the vampires from authors court feed from the Maja blood totally OK except she's never let anyone do that yet. Oh this was not going to be easy....
Angela Knight scores again
Angela Knight has become one of my favorite new authors. So many of my favorite authors have not come through lately, but she hasn't failed me yet. I really like this series. I can hardly wait for MASTER OF DRAGONS.
AK's done it again!
Buy this book. Now. Subtle enough? Okay...I love this book. I've been hooked on AK's series since the beginning, but I honestly think Master of Swords is the best one yet. No one writes action or adventure or paranormal OR romance with the same skill and flair as Angela Knight. She can literally keep me on the edge of my seat with a fight scene, or sighing over her beautifully written love scenes. This was a fantastic story, and one I'm reading again already - and also one I'll definitely add to my keeper shelf, alongside every other book Angela's written. A great book
If you read all the rest of the dark books this is a great book. It has a the books in one adding to them. Very hard to put down.

The Carpathians are BACK!!
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this book.Ms. Feehan is incredible.She bought back every beloved character from the past and made their contribution to the story breathtaking.I even enjoyed Adrienne and Aidan's story.And, their book DArk Gold was the only miss Ms. Feehan ever had.Skylar and Dimitri's story is almost to delicious to wait for but, that Manolito.I cannot wait for Manolito and his heroinnes book.IT will be awesome.This book extended the series and bought me even closer into the Carpathian world.

I own all the books in the carpathian series.I have waited months for this book & I was not disappointed!!I have always wondered what went on with the characters after their book was finished. Now I know... I love that this book was a reunion of all the characters.Christine Feehan brought back all of my favorite characters, brought in some humor, but this was still a Carpathian book, still a romance novel, but a little more family oriented.I loved that she explained more about the past of some of the characters, and opens it up for more books to come.I can't wait for the next book!!!! ... simply the best
This book is simply one of the best books I have ever read!!Echoing the reviews of so many others for this book, I could not put it down and read it through the night.Francine Rivers has been blessed with the ability to create characters we can connect to immediately and cry with throughout the book.She includes topics that so many are embarrased by or ashamed of; she not only makes them interesting but she teaches compassion through them.I would not recommend this book to the young due to the sexual implications but those same implications are part of the hook that connects you with the characters so I would recommend it to everyone else.

I want my money back
I didn't like one story in this book other than Kenyon's, and even that wasn't her best.The book was actually so bad that I resent the money I paid for it.And to add insult to injury, the other book I bought that was a compilation including Kenyon was only slightly better -- which is not saying much.Just a total waste of money.

If Books were DVDs, these would be the extras...
I came to this book as a big fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series, but I hadn't read any of the other authors.I usually love collections like this, because I can read a shorter story by authors I'm not familiar with and can decide if I want to try a full-length novel.But too often lately, authors are starting to use anthologies as nothing more than "backstory" for their own series (L.A. Banks even says as much in the author's note to her story here), and don't strive to entertain those who aren't already familiar with their work, which leaves a large portion of the readership feeling left out of the joke.
Love at First Bite Tickles
Although all of the stories definitely delivered on the theme, I found I enjoyed "Ride the Night Wind" by L.A. Banks and "The Forgotten One" by Rhonda Thompson the most.

ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAV. BOOKS!!
I am engaged, and like to browse through any books that relate to the subject (a little strange, I know... but my friends do the same!) Anyway, I came across Something Borrowed, and although not a typically flowing love story, it was SO much better than I expected-- which was a lot based on previous reviews! I literally couldn't put it down! I finished it in 3 days, and one night stayed up so late reading this page-turner I slept through my alarm in the morning... and was late to work! (It was worth it!) I just purchased Emily Giffin's other 2 novels and cannot wait to read them! I would recommend this book to any woman-- engaged or not. Although I can't wait to marry my fiance, I felt myself living vicariously through the character of Rachel and her steamy love affair! Giffin is able to so acurately put into words things women feel and think, and make points we never would have thought of ourselves! I was never bored as her descriptions led me to form a clear picture of the characters and situations in my mind. AMAZING!!

Prequel for Something Blue
This book is suppose to be a prequel for Something Borrowed but I don't think it matters if you read it out of order.This is the same story as Something Borrowed but from the perspective of Rachel, the smart, hard working, good girl that was best friends with Darcy the pretty popular girl.Rachel is a devoted friend and also a little naive to Darcy.Rachel sets up Darcy with one of her male classmates at law school and watches them get engaged and on the verge of marriage.Then, on Rachel's 30th birthday party, she has a fling with Darcy's fiance.It is shocking to her but she doesn't want to stop.She struggles with her loyalty to Darcy or following her heart for a guy she liked but never had the confidence to go for him herself, but rather set him up with her pretty friend.

Amazing Book!!

Title Says It All...Where Was The Romance?
Clare Wingate does not have good luck with love.Her last failure is finding her fiancé in the arms of her appliance repairman.To add insult to injury she has to be in her best friends wedding.Not willing to fall back into her past destructive patterns...or so she thinks but the next morning she wakes up in a hotel room with a man from her past and no memory of how she got there.When she gets home it's to find that Lonny leaves while she is in the shower and takes their dog.How much worse could it get?Oh it gets worse and at the center of it all is Sebastian Vaughan.Why does he always manage to get under her skin and why on earth can't she remember the night they spent together?Is it possible she is looking at her future?
I'm In No Mood for This Book
Unfortunately, this much-anticipated book turned out to be a bust.Note to all authors:If you transition by using months (ie. By December,... It was now June...) more than once in a novel, you're getting bored and chances are, you'll start boring your readers as well.
Always in the mood for a Gibson novel
After catching her fiance Lonny in the closet in a very compromising position with the Sears repairman, Clare downs one too many cocktails at her friends wedding and wakes up naked in a hotel room with her childhood nemesis/crush, Sebastian, who lets her believe they had sex. She hasn't seen Sebastian, son of the gardener/handyman, since she was ten and he was banned from her family's Boise estate after telling her where babies come from. All he remembers is a girl with coke bottle glasses and severe braids, not the sexy creature in a pink thong standing in front of him. But he's not here for romance - the successful writer is back in Boise to get to know the father who was absent most of his life now that his mother has passed away.

fun holiday romance
Her sister Zelda knows that Katherine "K.O." O'Connor has a full plate.Besides working as a medical transcriber and searching for a better job, K.O. writes Christmas letters for other people. Z knows K.O. is so good, her side business at the French café on Blossom Street in Seattle is booming.
Great Christmas Read
Christmas Letters is one of those books that hits home. I laughed all the way through especially during the baby sitting gig and the brown tailed African rat made my day.This is a must read for Debbie fans.

But when the two of them see just how much they disagree with one another, and realize that their personalities and beliefs are, quite frankly, on two different sides of the hemisphere, K.O. and Wynn begin to question whether or not their feelings for one another will make it through the holidays, or be shelved with the decorations come January.

disappointing...
A bit disappointing...
A little disappointing
This trilogy was a little disappointing.I can't imagine being an author, like Nora Roberts, and putting out best sellars all the time, still, she has set a certain standard.Which this time, I don't feel like she quite got there.Still an entertaining read, but not the best work for Nora Roberts.

An oldie, but a goodie
Don't be deluded by the publishing date. This is NOT a new story. If you're an IN DEATH fan, this does not pick up where the most recent book left off. This was originally published as a short story in a book of short stories named OUT OF THIS WORLD in August of 2001. But, if you're a fan it won't matter. Nothing earth shaking happens in it, so this story could be "anytime" in the later half of the series.

Should have read the details. . . .
The reviews posted on the site are longer than the book. It is less than 100 pages long and about 1/4" thick. I know it is a "value" book but it's a tiny, quick read that would be more suitable to a Good Housekeeping magazine (granted not PG rated!) than a book.

The Faces of Murder Are Varied and Complex

INTERLUDE IN DEATH was originally released in an anthology titled OUT OF THIS WORLD, a collection of futuristic stories by four well known women authors.It can be understood as a standalone story, but its brevity does not allow the amount of character development or background information that is available in the full length novels. Thus, my rating reflects those factors and I believe will be shared by listeners familiar with the series' main characters, who undoubtedly will find this more enjoyable than those unfamiliar with the ... IN DEATH series.This story takes place during the spring of 2059, it was published chronologically after BETRAYAL IN DEATH, the twelfth full-length novel in the series.

I am a Carl Weber fan, His part on the collaboration was great I have never read anything from Mary Morrison and at this point never will, the storyline had great potential but dang she was too graphic on the sexual parts it got to the point where I had to skip her graphic details in order to finish. 3 stars for Carl!

What happened to N. Sparks?
I have laughed and shed tears over all of the authors books. Im am completely dumbfounded as to what he was thinking when he wrote At First Sight.Like me, you probably loved all the characters in his previous books.He makes every character in this book NOT loveable! I kept asking myself, who am I rooting for?Do I care if things go well?The best part were the medical issues but only a few pages in the book - could have been a story in itself.I miss the old spark.

Redeemed!
After being very disapointed in "True Believer" I felt this novel was much more realistic and connected better to the characters. He has redeemed himself in my opinion with this novel. A good easy read, very enjoyable.

Readable but not worth the money...
This book was on the bestseller's shelf at my local bookstore.I asked an employee about how books were selected for that shelf and was told that selection is based on a number of factors including positive customer reviews.Shocking.As a number of other customer's have commented on this site, this book was not worth the money it cost.It was silly, contrived and unrealistic.
