1-0 out of 5 stars Is this new?
OK, I'm a sucker for a good formula read, and I enjoy the gruff older cowboy and the wholesome waif books of Diana Palmer. With Heartbreaker, the good formula unfortunately went wrong. The characters were so predictable that I continually checked the publication date, wondering if Heartbreaker was a reprint. If you too like classic Diana Palmer, reread Calhoun.

4-0 out of 5 stars I really loved this book.
I'm a big Diana Palmer fan and it was just what I expected. Come on, this isn't any different than her many earlier books with the wounded male hero and the naive girl that has had a crush on him since she was a teenager. Our hero knows she's had a crush on him and because of it, he continues to hurt her. This is just the sort of book Diana Palmer writes and we have come to know and love. I found that I couldn't put the book down. Yes, I was angry at J. B. Hammock for still seeing his trophy girlfriend after Tellie had been hurt. I couldn't understand why she was still in the picture until Tellie's memory comes back. I just eat this stuff up and enjoyed the story. I know I will read it again many times.
4-0 out of 5 stars OLDER STYLE PALMER BOOK
If you have read Diana Palmer books from the past, you will see that this story is more like the books she wrote 20 or 25 years ago.The Hero, J.B., is hard and angry. The female love interest, Tellie, is a very young woman who has had a very hard life and has relied on the hero a great deal of her life.I enjoyed the secondary characters, Marge, J.B. sister and Tellie's best friend, she was a very likeable person.Grange, one of the men Tellie works with was also an enjoyable character, I would like to read his story. It was also good to see old Palmer characters from other books, like Cash, Justin and Calhoun Ballenger and Cag Hart.I enjoy the way Palmer brings in other characters from her old books to her new stories. If you have enjoyed Palmer's books from the past you will like this one also, or if you enjoy older style stories you will like this one, don't except a modern love story. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT! I have read it more than 3 times... honest!
I really loved this book. It's amazing and so romantic. We start with the first story which is Opposite Attract with Ty and Asher. They had been lovers 3 years ago but Asher had left Ty to married someone else. Ty who thought had been played by Asher come face to face with her at the tennis championships. And a knew romance started with heated nights in each others arms. But Ty still didn't know why Asher had left him 3 years early and was trying to figure it out. But Asher had a big secret that she didn't want Ty to know about, but a their new romance gets more intense. And secrets are too close to get revealed and change everything between them.
5-0 out of 5 stars Loved it!!!
I liked both stories, but I liked The Heart's Victory the best. It was great to see the couple get together after being apart for 6 years. I loved getting a look into their lives after they were married, which is something we don't get to do often in Nora Robert's books. Also, the storyline took place in different cities/countries, and it was great getting a look into the car racing world. The main characters, Foxy and Lance were well developed, we get to see (through flashbacks) Foxy go from a 14 year old girl with a crush into a grown woman who has realized that it's true love.
5-0 out of 5 stars Loved...... it!
both books were similar in the sense that they both had a theme of past love's that were now being faced in the present. However, each situation is quite different, and so are the locations and charcters.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mrs. J does it again!
Ian, Ian, Iaaaaaaannn!Phew!I don't know how Mrs. J comes up with these men or how she crafts her stories but I'm so glad that she does. Also she created the perfect match to Ian in Brooke.I read this in a day and it was a very good, sweet, tender and HOT story. Also we get to check in on some of the other Westmorelands which is always great.Ok and on a side note the cover model....no words!Definite recommendation along with all of Mrs. J's other books.

4-0 out of 5 stars Ian's Ultimate Gamble
WOW! I'm becoming hooked on these Westomoreland men of Atlanta. I just started reading this series - and "Ian" is the latest. The book was awesome - filled with steamy romance and a good story line. It was nice to catch up on the other family members as well. I can't wait to see whose story is next!

4-0 out of 5 stars A light and sunny romance.
Cybil Campbell lives in apartment 3A, where she works magic by drawing the famous comic-strip "Friends and Neighbors". Nothing quiet about Cybil's life. She is bubbly, upbeat, loves to bake (and give it away so she will not eat it all), and thrives on background noise. Good thing too, since all her neighbors in the building are LOUD. Except, that is for the new resident in 3B, across the hall.
4-0 out of 5 stars Daniel MacGregor - The Reincarnation of Venus?
The MacGregors were one of Nora Roberts' creations that surpassed excellence. These family members are fun, witty, strong natured, hardheaded, and a joy. I can't think of another fictional family that I've enjoyed more than the MacGregors and their extended family. These characters have made every book written about them fun to read!
3-0 out of 5 stars From Back Cover
Brooding loner Preston McQuinn's new apartment, like his life, was just the way he wanted it - dark and empty. But when Cybil Campbell came barging into his well-ordered gloom, he couldn't deny a grudging fascination with his bright, bubbly neighbor. And then she tried to hire him... as her date! Preston thought he'd closed the door on love for good, so why was he sudden;y longing to open up his heart to his incredible neighbor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Romance!
This was the first Brenda Jackson book I read - and I am hooked! I found this romance very special and have since read the book twice. The couple seemed to be made for each other. I felt that the obstacles that they faced were accurate, however usually it's harder to sell the family. Of course the "Elliotts" aren't the usual family. (Thank goodness for that). Other reviewers have explained the plot pretty well, so I'll skip the details and just say that Suz's plotting is as detailed, consistent and believable as always.
5-0 out of 5 stars It's Like "Bourne Identity" Only Better!!
"Identity:Unknown" is one of the best books in the Tall Dark and Dangerous series. It has remarkable characters and tons of action. Good job, Suzanne Brockmann. Now, I can't wait to read Lucky's story.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mitch - vow!
This is an amnesia story where the reader knows all the time who the hero is (good). In this book Mitch has to fight with his own demons and nightmares and trust a woman at same time. It has lines to other TDD-books. Lucky is one of the main side characters, because Mrs. Brockmann wasclearly writing his story (get Lucky) in her mind allready. I liked theswimming parts and horseriding. It shows that SEALs learn to adapt underthe situation if has to. As a person this Mission Man was my kind of ahero. The cover was excellent and the guy inside had his rough moments buthe made it clear and chose the woman he loved. This book was like an oldwestern where a lonely rider finally finds his goal and stays behind. As ofthese Star Wars lines (yes, Obi-Wan) when the other guys were wondering ifMitch has gone to the Dark side of the Force... I loved it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Taylors Temptation
Excellent story. Would recommend this book and all the other Tall Dark and Dangerous series to my friends. This one has been my favorite to date. The characters are so alive you could almost fall in love with Bobby and feel for Colleen as she struggles to get Bobby to see her as more than his best friend Wes's little sister. Also Bobby's struggle to hide his feeling for Colleen because he knows Wes wouldn't approve and his fear of losing his best friend.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another great TDD book!!!
I have read all of Suzanne Brockmann's TDD books and can't really chose a favorite one! Taylor's Temptation lives up to the TDD name!! Other reviewers have wrote storyline information so I won't do that but just say that this book is a welcome addition to my TDD books on the shelf!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Lucky read.
The cover is horribly misleading; what a clunky guy!!!The story, hero and heroine were terrific.True to Ms. Brockman's writing. One of the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars Get Lucky or get out
I first read the story of Cowboy Jones and got hooked on Suzanne Brockmann.Since then I have been searching desperately for the older books, but when I found Got Lucky...who cares about any others! This bookwas EXCELLENT.Like the others below, I don't know what that cover wasabout, but everything inside it was wonderful.5-0 out of 5 stars Suzanne has another hit!
This is another example of the talent that this writer exhibits every time one of her books is published.I own the whole series to date. (Lucky Me!) And it isn't over yet according to the author who has a newsletter you cansubscribe to.Just e-mail her a note asking her to add you to her list.HER E-MAIL address is SFTHQ@aol.com.Once again in this book we have astrong character heroine who is able to match the heroics of the SEAL heroand come off still appearing as feminine as a beauty queen.Whether she isor not has no bearing on Lucky's opinion as he is totally absorbed in hislove for Sydney, the woman he plans to seduce but ends up needing, not justwanting to marry, which is a surprise to him.By the way Suz was moreupset than anyone about the cover, which should have pictured the hero as amovie star idol type.I predict that Ms. Brockmann will be on the BestSellers list one day soon. This series is just a beginning as she istestifying to by her new book THE UNSUNG HERO! Another seal series begins! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Warmhearted continuation of the 2nd Generation Randalls
She's spent the past six years in Paris, but Melissa Randall is home in Rawhide, Wyoming for the holidays. Only for the holidays, though. There isn't a huge demand for a professional jewelry designer in small-town Wyoming. Still, when she meets sexy Deputy Sheriff, Harry Gowan, she can't deny that there's an attraction, especially as Harry insists on kissing her 'goodbye' just about every chance he gets. There just doesn't seem to be any way she can have it all--the handsome Deputy and her dreams of becoming a top designer.
4-0 out of 5 stars Love all the Randalls!

    5-0 out of 5 stars Well-done novel
This is a surprising find! There was nothing really unappealing about this novel. The writing is competent, dialogue keeps to the period, characters are well-drawn, and story is compelling. The heroine, Miranda, is my kind of character. She isn't gorgeous, witty, and wealthy. Instead, she's plain, hard-working, and doesn't quite believe in herself or her own merits. I love that. Heroines who are perfect at the beginning of novels really turn me off. The hero, Marcus, is suitably moody and gruff. But, he has a core of honor. He's a fun character. Their love story is satisfying as it unfolds. The fly in the ointment is Marcus's brother. He isn't just a cookie-cutter "bad guy." Merrill gives him some depth and leaves his ending fuzzy. I liked that. I also appreciated the fact that Merrill doesn't use lots of misunderstandings between the hero and heroine to create tension in the plot. That can be so frustrating. Instead, they end up discussing their misunderstandings at various points in the story and resolving them. Whew. That's much more satisfying for the reader. All in all, this is a wonderful new author, one I will continue to look for in the future. ... Read more
